Mancala project is an SDL implementation of the African strategy game.

This is a program which allows you to play it. It uses SDL for graphics, so it should be (relatively) portable and toolkit-agnostic.

Mancala is a very simple, easy-to-learn game. Each player begins with a vertical row of holes or pits filled with a certain number of stones. At either end of the board are the players home pits, which are used to keep score. (In this case, the human player has the left row and the bottom home pit.)

A move is made by typing the number corresponding to the hole you wish to move from. The stones are then picked up and distributed, one to each hole, moving downward until your home pit is reached, and then moving upwards through your opponents row, bypassing his/her home, and moving back downwards in a circle, until all the stones have been distributed.

Mono is an excercise in subtractive synthesis. My intent is to write a bandlimited oscillator, a 4-pole low-pass filter and an envelope generator that run in real-time, and to have a TB-303-
inspired graphical user interface on top of that. As of now, the audio configuration process is not so nice and you have to be a nerd in order to succeed.

Foopanel is a powerful desktop panel that enables you to have all that you want just one-click-far. It is extensible through Plugins and fully themeable.

Foopanel differs from the XFCEs panel (and also by the GNOME panel) because: it is written in Python, a great and powerful interpreted language that make it very easy to write plugins: these do not need any particular compilation or installation, they are plain text files that must be placed in the right directory.

Nothing more to do. Its appearence can easily be customized, by using a theme of those available or by writing a custom one.

Gmencoder is a GNOME 2 frontend to mencoder. It support much of the output codecs as well as postprocesing, cropping, scale, subtitles ripping, 1, 2 and 3 passes for encoding and a lot of more options are planned.

It is only tested in Linux but it should run in other Unixes. Feedback is welcomed!

Because it is a GUI program is very easy to use. The only thing that you must know is: you have to analyze the source before to be able to fill the scale, cropping, subtitle or post-processing options. Before pressing "Analyze File" or "Analyze DVD" they are not sensible to the mouse.

Kimdaba2Mysql is a project that makes your kimdaba-tagged image gallery available on a Web site.

Kimdaba2Mysql is a small Python script that does two things: it inserts your kimdaba metadata into a relational database (only MySQL at the moment), and makes it possible to show the contents of that database in the form of a Web front end to anyone with a Web browser.

Because its build on top of quixote, it should be possible to use all quixote-supported interfaces (cgi, fcgi, scgi, and mod_python) to your Web server.

GTK-VNC project is a VNC viewer widget for GTK.

It provides a core library written in C, using coroutines to allow it to be completely asynchronous while remaining single threaded. A wrapper library using PyGTK provides access to the widget functionality from Python. Two example programs illustrate use of the widget by re-implementing the traditional vncviewer in a few 10s of lines of code.

The client is fully IPv6 aware, and as well as the traditional VNC authentication protocol, implements the VeNCrypt extension to provide secure TLS/SSL encrypted communications, optionally using x509 certificates to authenticate.
