Computer Breaker project is a network testing tool for services vulnerabilities.

Computer Breaker is a network testing tool that allows networking administrators to test if a computer is vulnerable to malicious attacks.

Using the Nessus scanner, computer-breaker scans the remote host and automatically exploits its vulnerabilities.

Blinkensisters is a Parallax-style 2D scrolling gaming system for Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, and POSIX-compatible Unix systems (every platform that can run SDL).

You can make your own levels with a simple text editor.

Installation:

(Now) the game does not have a GNU autoconf/automake based build system, but
compiling the source should be easy:

tar xvzf blinkensisters-VERSION.tar.gz
cd blinkensisters-VERSION
make
make install

That will compile and install "blinkensisters" in /usr/local/bin and the necessary
data-files in /usr/local/share/blinkensisters.

You will (usually) need root-permissions, if you want to install to /usr/local/...
If you do not have root-permissions (or prefer another path for whatever reason), you
can define a PREFIX Variable, e.g.

make PREFIX=$HOME
make install PREFIX=$HOME

will install blinkensisters inside your homedirectory ($HOME/bin/blinkensisters).

You may need to edit the Makefile (e.g. if you compile on Unix-platform, where the
GNU tools are not the standard-tools (I recommend using the GNU commands for building)
or if you have problems, if you are compiling on a 64Bit system)

You will need the following Libraries/(Packages for your distribution):

- A C++ compiler
- GNU Make
- libSDL (+ development packages (Headers, ...))
- libSDL_mixer (+ development packages)
- libSDL_image (+ development packages)
- xutils (Debian), xorg-x11-devel (Suse), x11-devel, xfree86-devel, ...

We tested and successfully build it on the following Unices:

- Suse Linux (9.2, 9.3),
- Debian GNU/Linux 3.1
- Solaris 8,
- SGI IRIX
- the Cygwin environment in Windows

The Qmail virus scanner (QScan) is a mail filter for Qmail that scans incoming messages using the Sophos Antivirus engine, immediately rejecting infected content.

It is designed to be minimalistic, yet extremely fast and secure, and uses multiple pipes instead of the traditional temporary files and privilege separation. It works with non-native versions of the virus scanner like under OpenBSD with Linux or FreeBSD emulation.


You must create a temporary directory to extract MIME attachments, and replace Qmails original qmail-queue program with Qscan. Quick way to achieve this for the impatients :

mkdir /var/qmail/qscan
chmod 700 /var/qmail/qscan
chown qmaild:qmail /var/qmail/qscan
ln /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue-old

Now, lets compile and install Qscan :

./configure --help

./configure [your beloved flags]

make install-strip

The last step is to replace the original qmail-queue program with our filter :

rm /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue
ln -s /usr/local/sbin/qscan /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue

Depending on your local configuration, it may be needed or not, but start with doing it :

chown qmaild:qmail /usr/local/sbin/qscan
chmod 6711 /usr/local/sbin/qscan

After testing, if everythings ok for you, remove the setuid bit :

chown 0:0 /usr/local/sbin/qscan
chmod 711 /usr/local/sbin/qscan

Aegis project is a virus scanner for Linux, Unix and Windows with a simple and intuitive user interface.

Aegis supports scanning of subdirectories, hidden files and .zip and .tar archive files, and drag-and-drop of files from the Nautilus file browser, or your Gnome desktop. When a virus is detected you can choose to delete, quarantine or rename the file.
