Batik is a Java(tm) technology based toolkit for applications that want to use images in the Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format for various purposes, such as viewing, generation or manipulation. The projects ambition is to give developers a set of core modules
which can be used together or individually to support specific SVG solutions.
Example modules are, SVG parsers, SVG generators and SVG DOM implementations. Another ambition for the Batik project is to make it highly extensible (for example, Batik allows the developer to handle custom SVG tags). Even though the goal of the project is to provide a set of core modules, one of the deliverables is a full fledged SVG browser implementation which validates the various modules and their interoperability.
With Batik, you can manipulate SVG documents if a Java framework is available. You can also use the various Batik modules to generate, manipulate, transcode and search SVG images in your applications or applets.
Enhancements:
- Major new features since the 1.6 release include DOM Level 3 Core/Events/XPath support, a near complete SMIL Animation implementation, a much improved WMF transcode, and a few SVG 1.2 features.

JaC64 project is completely written in Java and can be run from a modern web browser like Firefox, InternetExplorer or Netscape Navigator. jac64.com contains information about the emulator and JSIDPlay (a 100% Java sid player) as well as games and demos playable directly in your browser.

On jac64.com you can try it out with classical C64 games such as Arkanoid, Commando, and California games. Soon there will also be more documentation on JaC64 and how to use it on your own site!

One goal with JaC64 is to make it possible for Commodore C64 game and demo developers to show their old (and new) C64 games/demos on-line on the web. There will be some demos and games as a showcase of what JaC64 can do.

PRES project (the Press Release System) is a simple content management system, essentially targeted at producing a news and information site. Managing a PRES system is designed to be simple.
However, presentation is sophisticated and flexible. An elementary knowledge of IT would be useful but expertise in designing and managing websites is not a requirement. PRES can be used for anything from private blogging to corporate news systems.
Main features:
Flexible Presentation
- All content is generated as XML which is styled at server side with XSL-T stylesheets to provide the final look and feel of your pages. This permits an almost infinite variety of presentations. Furthermore, different XSL-T transforms can be associated with different categories, allowing you to have different styling for different parts of your site.
Caching
- Content is generated on request, but in order to limit the computational load on busy sites all content is cached for a limited period (by default twenty minutes).
Subscription
- PRES allows users to subscribe to categories - effectively sections of the site. When new stories are posted to a section youre subscribed to, you will automatically get email with a link to the story.
Syndication
- PRES makes its headlines available as a syndication feed, using both RSS 0.91 and RSS 1.0. This allows other news sites to automatically incorporate live headlines from a PRES site into their content.
Threaded Discussion
- PRES optionally allows registered users to add comments to stories in a threaded manner, similar to sites like Slashdot.
Moderation
- PRES optionally allows registered users to moderate other users comments.

bzr-hudson 1.0 Beta 1 offers you a perfect and helpful plugin which can allow the use of Bazaar as a build SCM in Hudson. With this plugin, you can designate a Bazaar branch as the "upstream" repository. Every build will update the local branch. Polling is also supported, it'll check if the upstream branch have any new revision and use this as the build triggering condition.
