Shallows is a C++ library designed to make GPGPU programming easier and safer. We aim to reduce the time spent on writing and debugging OpenGL related C/C++ code, so the developers of GPGPU applications can concentrate on implementing the algorithms instead.

GPGPU applications are all about performance, the overhead by using shallows is therefore kept low.

Shallows absolutely requires a Shader Model 3.0 card. As of today this implies that only Nvidia 6xxx and 7800 cards will work. It also requirees a recent driver with the GL_EXT_framebuffer_object extension.

Low Resolution Modeline Calculator is a modeline calculator for legacy CRT displays, including TVs, arcade monitors, and VGA monitors.
Low Resolution Modeline Calculator can also be used to calculate low resolution modelines for modern multisync PC monitors.
As its name implies, it is not designed for calculating large resolutions, resolutions that operate over 65kHz.
Options:
-v, --vsync
Calculate the nearest mode in vertical synchronization.
-b, --bestscan
Calculate the nearest best scan mode.
-i, --interlace
Include support for interlaced calculations. Interlaced modes are not supported by many video cards. You should only enable this option if you know your video card supports them.
-d, --doublescan
Include support for doublescanned calculations. Doublescanned modes are not supported by many video cards. You should only enable this option if you know your video card supports them.
-n, --nostretch
Do not stretch modes that are out of range for your monitor. You should use this option if you know that your application does not support integer stretching.
-y, --ystretch
Assume fractional stretching of the y-resolution. You should use this option if you know that your application supports fractional stretching of the y-resolution and you want to stretch an underscanned mode so that it fills the entire screen.
-l, --lowpclock
Many video cards do not reliably support pixel clocks lower than 8mHz. If you know that your video card and its driver support pixel clocks lower than 8mHz, then you should use this option.
-h, --highpclock
Most X11 video card drivers do not support pixel clocks lower than 12mHz. In some cases your video card may not support pixel clocks lower than 12mHz either (rare). If you know that your video card (or your video card driver) does not support pixel clocks lower than 12mHz, then you should use this option.
-3x4
Stretch the horizontal resolution so that the mode has a 3:4 aspect ratio. You can use this option to correctly display vertical resolutions on a horizontal monitor.
-x, --X11R6
Print modeline in X11 format (default).
-f, --fb
Print modeline in fbset format.
-a, --advmame
Print modeline in AdvanceMAME format.
-s, --SDL
Print modeline in X11 format to stdout and print AdvanceMAME X11 configuration to stderr.
-p, --powerstrip
Print modeline in PowerStrip format.
-pal
Calculate modelines for a PAL Television (15.625kHz).
-ntsc
Calculate modelines for a NTSC Television (15.73426kHz).
-cga
Calculate modelines for a standard resolution arcade monitor (15.7500kHz).
-ega
Calculate modelines for a medium resolution arcade monitor (24.960kHz).
-vga
Calculate modelines for a standard VGA monitor (31.500kHz).

CLUTO is a software package for clustering low- and high-dimensional datasets and for analyzing the characteristics of the various clusters. The project is well-suited for clustering data sets arising in many diverse application areas including information retrieval, customer purchasing transactions, web, GIS, science, and biology.
CLUTOs distribution consists of both stand-alone programs and a library via which an application program can access directly the various clustering and analysis algorithms implemented in CLUTO.

MOSIXVIEW is a GUI for managing openMosix-Cluster. Everybody is invited to download and use it (at your own risk and responsibility).

You can adjust the main parameters of your openMosix-Cluster. It is a front-end for the "mosctl"-Commands. The "speed"of each node can be changed whith slide-buttons, that does not mean that you can increase the physical speed of a computer but you can influence what openMosix thinks what its speed is.

My experience is that processes will migrate a lot easier if the "speed" of the node the process is migrating to is higher than that one the process is running on (i set the speed of my "home-node" very low if i run some "bigger" jobs but still want to work at this host. Than all CPU-intensive processes will migrate to other nodes and on my "home-node" the load is quite low).

PFScalibration project provides an implementation of the Robertson et al. 2003 method for the photometric calibration of cameras and for the recovery of high dynamic range (HDR) images from the set of low dynamic range (LDR) exposures.

Tools provided with this software can be used for photometric calibration of both off-the-shelf digital cameras and HDR cameras as described in the MPI Research Report. A short tutorial on calibration of the LDR cameras and the recovery of the HDR images from multiple exposures is provided below. For details on the calibration of the HDR cameras please refer to the research report.

RDVIS tool helps programmers pin-point the sources of cache misses and poor temporal locality in their source code.
The visualization often directs the experienced programmer towards the necessary program transformations within a few minutes.
The tool consists of two parts: a GUI that visualizes the low temporal locality patterns, and a patched GCC compiler to extract the low-locality patterns from programs.

- Improved cluster window interaction: allows selection of individual reference pairs, allows the height of the basic block vector to be proportional to its weight, and has a number of different sort options for the basic block vectors.

Mono is an excercise in subtractive synthesis. My intent is to write a bandlimited oscillator, a 4-pole low-pass filter and an envelope generator that run in real-time, and to have a TB-303-
inspired graphical user interface on top of that. As of now, the audio configuration process is not so nice and you have to be a nerd in order to succeed.
