DOFUS 1.18.1

DOFUS is a popular masive multiplayer RPG online game.
Story:
A long time ago....
.. a dragon named Bolgrot arrived in the eternal Province of Amakna. The young Rykke Errel was the only one to be courageous enough to face the terrible creature.
Instead of reducing him to dust as it could easily have done it, the dragon bowed down before the young knight and swore loyalty to him.
Months passed by...
Rykke met Helsephine, a young enchantress, and fell madly in love with her. When he introduced Helsephine to Bolgrot, Rykke would never have guessed what was about to happen.
The dragon, mad with rage, killed the sweet Helsephine and flew away, destroying everything on its way.
Rykke chased the dragon. When he found it, the old friends confronted each other in a titanic fight. Using his weapons and his magic, Rykke succeeded to bring Bolgrot down. But fatally injured, the young hero died short after.
Looking for an explanation...
... about the sudden violence of Bolgrot, the wise men of Amakna discovered within the entrails of the dragon six unusually colored eggs that were called DOFUS. Later on, it was discovered that when these eggs were reunited their power was absolute.
Absolute, but also unstable. The wise men decided to conceal those terrible relics from the rest of the world.
During the following centuries,
the secret of the existence of the DOFUS was so well kept that people eventually forgot all about them. But a cursed day among others, the guardians of the secret discovered that the DOFUS had disappeared. The news quickly spread, arousing terror and covetousness.
It didnt take long for adventurers to show up in Amakna, attracted by the prospect of glory or plunder. The destiny of Amakna was from then on uncertain and the appearance of numerous creatures as terrifying as theyre unknown added to the confusion.

Dynagraph 1.1.6.1
Dynagraph is a cross-platform library and command-line tool for dynamically drawing graphs. more>>
Dynagraph libraries are written in platform-neutral C++. As such, Dynagraph itself does not render to the screen, bitmaps, etc. Instead, the Dynagraph executable can be piped to a front end using the custom incrface language, or the library can be used directly in C++ programs, or in Windows programs via COM wrapper classes.
Gordon Woodhull maintains and improves Dynagraph continually. It is based on the brilliant work of the Graphviz team at AT&T Research, particularly Stephen North and Emden R. Gansner.
While Gordon consulted for AT&T Research from 1997 to 2003, he designed a new architecture and ported the DynaDAG and FDP engines from C to C++. Since his departure from AT&T, he has continued to rearchitect Dynagraph and add powerful new features.
Dynagraph is licensed under the Common Public License.
Whats New in 1.1.5.9 Stable Release:
- This improves the build system for *nix, esp using automatically generated dependencies.
- Requires gnu make.
Whats New in 1.1.6.1 Development Release:
- Contains a fix for the nodecross bug.
- Also parallel edges appear to be working.

Pulga 1.1.4
Pulga is a program for numerical simulation of dynamical systems. more>>
Pulga is a program for numerical simulation of dynamical systems. Pulga project is designed to provide a way for students and researchers who study dynamical systems to model them on a computer and analyze them numerically without the difficulty of traditional computer programming languages.
As we grow up learning math at school we face the joy of dealing with loads of numbers and their pretty properties but as soon as we start to study the real thing in a university we face our first problem.
Although we love to write complex formulas most of us have not that much fun dealing with computer programming, which has proved to be useful and sometimes even essential for some researchs. And that does not only happens with students as there are some teachers and researchers who have exactly the same fear of facing some code.
The classes could be funier and more dynamic, the students would be able to analyse intricate dynamical systems and researchers would not have to worry to learn the newest trend on computer programming in order to get what they need: whether it is for researching, teaching, simulating or studying, there is a need for an open source tool that should be capable of taking the computer code out of their way.

fe3d 0.11
fe3d is a multiplatform, SDL/OpenGL based 3D visualization tool for network (security) information. more>>
fe3d is a multiplatform, SDL/OpenGL based 3D visualization tool for network (security) information, it currently supports insecure.orgs nmap and [has very very limited support for] languard XML log files.
It has been tested and runs fine on Win32, IRIX and OS X, it should also function fine on Linux.
Inside the data directory there are a couple of xml files that will allow you to somewhat modify fe3ds behaviour. Everything is pretty self explanatory, but there are some comments inside just in case, most settings dont do anything yet.
fe_config.xml - The main configuration file for the program, allowes modification of png tag for screenshots (because we all love screenshots), some graphics settings (may not work), etc.
os_info.xml - Defines the textures and objects for displaying the OS and hardware information.

Cloak 1.0
Cloak is a programming tool written in Ruby that I started as a project to familiarize myself with the Ruby programming language more>>
Cloak (Kind of short for comment locator) is a programming tool written in Ruby that I started as a project to familiarize myself with the Ruby programming language. Now its grown into a full-blown tool that I think many programmers can benefit from. Cloak reads in your source code and extracts the comments. It then stores them in a SQLite database so you can list all the comments for a particular file, or search all the comments in the database. If you happen to update a file and then want to list its comments, Cloak will automatically synchronize it for you and then perform the desired operation.
You might be thinking, "Why would I want to keep track of all my comments, of all things?" Well, I dont know about you, but I love to leave notes to myself in source code comments. And if you were thinking that Cloak would still make you wade through your comments after it spits them out, think again; Cloak allows you to provide a Ruby method to filter what comments are and are not included in the database, as well as a method to modify the comments before they are put in the database. So if youre a C programmer and you write notes to yourself in the form of all upper case comments, but you want to prefix all such comments with an exclamation point before they go in the database, youd put something like this in your .cloak_conf.rb:
def keep_comment?(comment)
return comment !~ /[a-z];
end
def modify_comment(comment)
return "!" + comment
end
That way the comment
/* URGENT MESSAGE */
becomes
!/* URGENT MESSAGE */
and all comments not matching your criteria are not included in the database.
Although only a few languages are supported right now (see the list below), Cloak is easily extensible: just write a Ruby script to extract the comments from a source file, and drop it into the extractors/ subdirectory; Cloak will take care of the rest.
Currently supported languages:
C
C++
Java
C#

LibStroke 0.5.1
LibStroke is a stroke and gesture recognition library. more>>
LibStroke is a stroke translation library. Strokes are motions of the mouse that can be interpreted by a program as a command.
Strokes are used extensively in CAD programs. I fell in love with them when I was using the CAD tools that use a stroke interface to select tools or perform actions.
I wrote this library so that others can see how useful strokes can be and so that more programs take advantage of this extremely natural human-computer interface.

REXML 3.1.5
REXML is a conformant XML processor for the Ruby programming language. more>>
REXML is a conformant XML processor for the Ruby programming language. REXML passes 100% of the Oasis non-validating tests and includes full XPath support.
REXML is reasonably fast, and is implemented in pure Ruby. Best of all, it has a clean, intuitive API. REXML is included in the standard library of Ruby.
This software is distribute under the Ruby license.
REXML arose out of a desire for a straightforward XML API, and is an attempt at an API that doesnt require constant referencing of documentation to do common tasks. "Keep the common case simple, and the uncommon, possible."
REXML avoids The DOM API, which violates the maxim of simplicity. It does provide a DOM model, but one that is Ruby-ized. It is an XML API oriented for Ruby programmers, not for XML programmers coming from Java.
Some of the common differences are that the Ruby API relies on block enumerations, rather than iterators. For example, the Java code:
for (Enumeration e=parent.getChildren(); e.hasMoreElements(); ) {
Element child = (Element)e.nextElement(); // Do something with child
}
in Ruby becomes:
parent.each_child{ |child| # Do something with child }
Cant you feel the peace and contentment in this block of code? Ruby is the language Buddha would have programmed in.
One last thing. If you use and like this software, and youre in a position of power in a company in Western Europe and are looking for a software architect or developer, drop me a line. I took a lot of French classes in college (all of which Ive forgotten), and I lived in Munich long enough that I was pretty fluent by the time I left, and Id love to get back over there.
Main features:
- Four intuitive parsing APIs.
- Intuitive, powerful, and reasonably fast tree parsing API (a-la DOM
- Fast stream parsing API (a-la SAX)1
- SAX2-based API2
- Pull parsing API.
- Small
- Reasonably fast (for interpreted code)
- Native Ruby
- Full XPath support3
- XML 1.0 conformant4
- ISO-8859-1, UNILE, UTF-16 and UTF-8 input and output; also, support for any encoding the iconv supports.
- Documentation
Enhancements:
- Bugfixes and a couple of feature requests were made.

VTWM 5.4.6b
VTWM is a Virtual Desktop. more>>
VTWM, one of many TWM descendants, implements a Virtual Desktop, meaning that what is currently on screen is just a portion of a larger workspace. What portion of the virtual desktop that is displayed, and whatever windows might be visible within it, are simple point-and-click operations within a scaled representation of the workspace.
When the X Consortium released the X Window System, they included TWM, the "Tab Window Manager" (aka "Toms Window Manager", after Tom LaStrange, the main author).
It was primitive looking by todays standards, somewhat resembling the not-yet-even-thought-of MS Windows 3 interface. However, it sported shaped titlebars, several forms of icon management, user-defined macro functions, and click-to-type or pointer-driven focus, all configurable on the fly with a text file.
Main features:
- VTWMs is user-configurable: The VDs initial scale, size, and position. The colors of the VD, the real screen, and the windows within. The windows that may or may not be represented within. External image (XPM) files can decorate the VD and the real screen.
- VTWMs is not constrained. The VD can be freely moved and resized - its just another managed window, after all.
- VTWM allows the real screen to be positioned anywhere within the VD, or aligned on an user-defined grid. VTWM can toggle this behavior on-the-fly.
- VTWM has "doors". They move the real screen to preset or set-on-the-fly coordinates in the VD with a single click or keystroke.
- VTWMs root window is really the root window - applications that can draw on the root can do so unhindered.
- VTWM supports the moving and resizing of windows on the display from its representation in the VD.
- VTWM doesnt support moving a window on the display into the VD, or visa-versa. Not yet.
- VTWMs does generate more X protocol traffic than some other implementations, which may be a concern if a remote server is used.
Enhancements:
- m4 processing of the resource file.
- Rather than lifting it from another TWM derivative, its a scratch-written implementation that does away with that little temporary file. Itll even let you pass options to m4 on the command line. A compile-time option. Bravo, Jason!
- Regular expressions ("RE"s).
- If VTWMs own wildcard support in resource files isnt sophisticated enough, this certainly is. A compile-time option.
- Sound effects.
- What? Pocketfluff! But it is kind of fun, the audible cues can be helpful, and it incurs just a little overhead. A compile-time option.
- Applet regions.
- Spending too much time setting geometry strings for all those little tool applications you have up all the time? Youre going to love this!
- Scrolling menus.
- When the number of menu entries exceeds the displays height. Better than cascading menus, we think.
- 3D Doors and Virtual Desktop.
- These last two complete the implementation. Finally.

BladeEnc 0.9.4.2
BladeEnc is a cross-platform MP3 encoder. more>>
BladeEnc is a freeware MP3 encoder. It is based on the same ISO compression routines as mpegEnc, so you can expect roughly the same, or better, quality . The main difference is the appearance and speed.
BladeEnc doesnt have a nice, user-friendly interface like mpegEnc, but it is more than three times faster, and it works with several popular front-end graphical user interfaces.
BladeEncs output quality is one of those rare subjects that completely divides the world in two parts. Either you love it or you hate it, there never seems to be an opinion inbetween. Different audiophiles and mp3 experts tends to come to completely different conclusions depending on their methods and testsamples.
The reason for this is of course that BladeEnc is a very different mp3 encoder (compared to Fraunhofer, LAME etc) with a very unique approach to mp3 encoding.
In order to compress sound to an mp3 file, you need to make certain sacrifices in quality. Taking into account how we percieve sound, the mp3 encoder tries to remove the details that it believes us to be least likely to notice. How much that needs to be removed depends on the bitrate and the encoder often has the choice of doing different kinds of sacrifices.
It can remove low volume tones that are "shadowed" by high volume tones of similar frequencies, remove the high frequency part of the sound spectrum, cut down the stereo effect (so called joint stereo) and simply decrease the samplerate. What approach is the best depends on a lot of things, like the style of music and the selected bitrate.
Main features:
- Sourcecode available under the LGPL-license!
- Stereo or Mono output. Can downmix to Mono on the fly.
- Supports the following bitrates: 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 160, 192, 224, 256 and 320 kBit/s. However, for bitrates lower than 128 kBit we seriously recommend you to use another encoder.
- Flags like Private, Original and Copyright can be set.
- Input samples can be in either 32, 44.1 or 48 kHz.
- Both 8 and 16-bit samples are supported.
- Working CRC checksum generation (since 0.80). The ISO reference code had broken CRC calculations, which has been inherited into every ISO based encoder that havent added a fix for it.
- Can be plugged directly into many popular 3rd party products, giving them integrated mp3 encoding abilities.
- Encodes chunks of data from memory to memory, no need to use files or pipes.
- Can be compiled for nearly any operating system still in use.
- Commandline based, makes it easy to include BladeEnc into BAT files and shell scripts.
- Only mp3 encoder that supports gapless encoding.
- Reads standard uncompressed WAV- and AIFF-files as well as well as RAW PCM-data.
- Batch encoding. Can encode any number of samples in a row.
- Wildcards supported. You can for example encode all WAV-files in a directory by typing *.WAV".
- Input samples can be automatically deleted after encoding.
- Large selection of graphical frontends available.
- Task priority can be set from the commandline and is by default set to LOWEST so that you still can use your computer effectively while encoding (Windows & OS/2 only).
- Full support for pipes and redirection (stdin and stdout).
- Textbased configuration file where you can change default settings.
<<lessBladeEnc doesnt have a nice, user-friendly interface like mpegEnc, but it is more than three times faster, and it works with several popular front-end graphical user interfaces.

PunBB 1.2.15
PunBB is a fast and lightweight discussion board. more>>
PunBB is a fast and lightweight discussion board.
Its primary goal is to be a faster, smaller, and less graphic alternative to otherwise excellent discussion boards like phpBB, Invision Power Board, and vBulletin.
PunBB project has fewer features than many other discussion boards, but is generally faster and outputs smaller pages.
The idea of PunBB was first born when I needed a discussion board for a website I was working on. After an exhaustive search, all the boards I found were either over-featured or too graphic for my needs. I wanted a package that
- was fast.
- had a simple layout and design.
- was easy to administrate and moderate.
- didnt output huge, non-valid, (X)HTML pages.
- had source code you could read and understand.
To my dismay, such a forum was nowhere to be found. Thus, I started working on PunBB, or just Pun as it was called back then.
Developing software to "please the masses" isnt difficult. Just cram in every possible feature you can think of and most people will love it. Some people, however, will hate it and look for alternatives. The problem with developing for that other group of people is having to make decisions on whether to implement a feature or not. What is a "must-have" and what is not?
Some features that I have so far chosen not to implement are: private messaging, file attachments, polls, linking to off-site avatars, advanced text formatting controls, subforums etc etc. The jury is still out on some of these features, but dont expect them to pop up anytime soon. It should however be noted that most, if not all of these features have been realised in the form of third-party mods.

Renai 0.0.1-1
Renai is a dating simulation engine. more>>
Renai project is a dating simulation engine.
Renai/Dating Simulation Engine is derived from a type of computer game from Japan. The player controls a point of view (POV) game character, who interacts with other game characters in the hopes of winning the love of one of them.
So far all of these games are closed source, and none have been translated into English.
The Renai includes a cross platform, internationalized game engine, on which dating sim type games can be played, plus an English based game to play on that engine.
Main features:
- The game will be set at a high-school in Japan (though it might not be explicitly pointed out that its in Japan); the characters will have Japanese names.
- The progress and outcome of the game will be entirely decided by interaction with other characters. The player wont have the option of spending time to become more athletic or more intellectual (it wont be a stats based game); there wont be any video-game like fights embedded within the game.
- The target game characters (the characters the POV character tries to win) will be both girls and boys.
- The POV character can be either male or female. This will have no influence on how the POV character interacts with the game characters (to make it matter would make the first release of the game too complex).
- No erotica/porn/hentai.
- The game engine will run on Windows, Macintosh and UNIX/Linux (at least), and will be written in C++.
