Looking Glass is a project that allows creating an innovative 3D desktop environment for Linux. It is sponsored by Sun Microsystems.

Looking Glass is programmed in the Java language using the Java 3D system to remain platform independent. Despite the use of graphics acceleration features, the desktop explores the use of 3D windowing capabilities for both existing application programs and ones specifically designed for Looking Glass.

The project is still in early development. The prototype is now working on Suns Java Desktop System.[citation needed]

One of its most notable features is the creation of reversible windows. This capability can be used for features like allowing the user to write notes and comments on the windows backs, or displaying application dialogs without risking them being detached from the application they relate to.

All windows start by looking like a normal 2D or 2.5D window, but can be manipulated as thin slate-like 3D objects which can be set at any angle or turned completely around by the user.

Other features include provision of a panning virtual desktop, icons that reflect the live status of the window they represent and zooming of a window when it receives focus.

MIM Blocks is a set of blocks games (sokoban, taquin and various others) in 3D.

Mim-Blocks is reflexion game, where the goal is to merge different blocks of the same color, by moving them inside a maze. Its still at an early stage of developement, but looks promising!

BooKreader is a Linux KDE twin-panel text files viewer specialized for reading e-books.

It supports multiple bookmarks, custom fonts, encoding selection.

The main feature is the reader has two-page style, so it looks like a real book.

LG is a Looking Glass written in Perl as a CGI script. It can execute almost all BGP-related commands and do ping and traceroute in routers or relay these queries to other looking glasses.
It supports both IPv4 and IPv6 commands, and is tested with Cisco, Zebra, and Juniper. It can connect to a router using different methods of remote connection like SSH, telnet or rsh.

Domino Blue Milk is a Domino config file that looks like MacOS Xs Milk with a blue touch.

Started from Polyester-Blue color profile, transformed it to a murrina-domino config and then customized to add brightness to buttons, scrollbars and checkboxes.

conTEXT is an amaroK script that looks for text or html files in the playing directory and inserts them in a new manageable box into the context browser.
I hope you dont expect too much of a script thats named almost like a tab in amaroK but there already are some ideas to extend its functionality...
Usage:
Scrolling: Left-click an arrow to speed up. Right-click to jump a page up/down. You can also use standard konqueror controls: Shift+ArrowKeys for scrolling, Alt+Mousewheel for horizontal scrolling, Ctrl+Mousewheel for zooming.
Drag the lower box border to resize the box, drag the box header to change its position.

Now you can run Torsmo in KDE! well, not really, but close enough. KaTorsmo is a Karamba theme that looks like Torzmo.

KaTorsmo is very simple and clean. No icons or ugly graphics. Just plain simple usability! Torzmo style!

The Process count does not work yet. The hostname and IP address does not work yet.
