Live Loops is a audio looping software for live music production. You need to have allegro library installed to compile/run this:

NOTICE: This program wont run unless you create a sub-directory where you are executing it called samples with all of your samples in it (wav format).

This program will attempt to run in a window. If that fails it will attempt to use framebuffer (under linux).

Essentially i wrote this for my own purposes and i wanted a very simple way of putting loops together, and outputting them through existing soundcard hardware into an external mixer.

To do in the following versions:

1) put in some code to send a pulse to the parallel port to control the timing of my Commodore64 computer (running custom music software found on this server in /dev/aSid/current/) This functionality was present in v0.1 before I ported to linux.

2) Put in some audio-input functionality so that a user could record a bar of say, guitar, and that bar would be looped over whilst they played other stuff over the top. Nice for making very live sounding looped music. Sort of like a delay pedal.

live-initramfs is a fork from Casper by Canonical. The project is used to build an initramfs suited to boot live systems.

live-initramfs is a hook for the initramfs-tools, used to generate a initramfs capable to boot live systems, such as those created by live-helper(7). This includes the Debian Live isos, netboot tarballs, and usb stick images.

At boot time it will look for a (read-only) media containing a "/live" directory where a root filesystems (often a compressed filesystem image like squashfs) is stored. If found, it will create a writable environ‐ ment, using unionfs, for Debian like systems to boot from.

To modify the code you can follow the below process:

Checkout or install live-initramfs

svn co svn://svn.debian.org/debian-live/dists/trunk/live-initramfs/

Then build to match your target platform (i.e. if target is lenny then build with lenny) with debuilder inside the live-initramfs (debuilder is part of devscripts package):

debuild -us -uc -b

Then copy the .deb generated to config/chroot_local-packages.

DCC/Live is a Knoppix based bootable CD-ROM which provides a virtual DCC cluster.

The virtual cluster consists of one master-node (node0), and three virtual work-nodes running on User Mode Linux (node1, node2, node3).

SILC Map is an utility which can be used to visualize the topology of a SILC network. This project can create maps which indicate the exact global position of the servers and it can create HTML pages out of the information it gathers from the servers.

It is also possible to create a HTML map page which allows the user to click the servers on the map image to get more detailed information of the server. The links between the routers and servers can also be drawn on the map image.

Crossfire Maps packages includes maps for the Crossfire MUD client.

Crossfire is a multi-player graphical arcade and adventure game made for X. It has certain flavours from other games, especially Gauntlet and the rogue-like games (Nethack, Moria, Angband, and Ragnarok).

Any number of players can move around in their own window, finding and using items and battling monsters. They can choose to cooperate or compete in the same world.

IOSN Live CD is an bootable CD that boots into a usable and fully featured Linux Desktop. In addition to standard FOSS productivity and multimedia applications, it is bundled with a User Guide to Using the Linux Desktop in print and multimedia formats as well as several IOSN Free/Open Source Software Primers.

Note: This is a beta release.

AFROS Live CD is a bootable CD with a small collection of GNU/Linux software, ARAnyM and the AFROS. AFROS Live CD boots and runs completely from CD, does not write anything to the harddrive and so is safe to try out. It is meant as a demo version of ARAnyM/AFROS. It is not the dreamed Installation CD of ARAnyM yet (although it could be modified to work so).

The underlying Linux kernel and related software provide the CD autoboot, automatic hardware detection, and support for many graphics cards, sound cards, SCSI and USB devices and other peripherals. ARAnyM plus AFROS provide our familiar and favourite TOS/FreeMiNT/GEM operating environment. Its all integrated seamlessly and after PowerOn boots straight to the Teradesk (GEM desktop).

AFROS Live CD is distributed in the form of a CD ISO image which is the usual way of distributing CDs electronically. The ISO image file can be burnt on a CD-R/RW and so youll get an exact copy of the AFROS Live CD I created on my machine.

AFROS Live CD configuration:

fVDI resolution and/or color depth change: open up the C:FVDI.SYS (double click it and select Edit), locate the "01r aranym.sys mode 800x600x16@72" line, comment it out and uncomment one of the other prepared lines (or just make up your own). Then reboot the AFROS.

The ARAnyM Config GUI is unfinished yet so changes to ARAnyM config must be done outside of ARAnyM in the .aranym/config file. When you quit ARAnyM you should be able to edit the file with one of the supplied GNU/Linux editors (in the future this shouldnt be necessary as I am working on the Config GUI as you read this).

DSL site (AFROS Live CD is based on the DSL) might give you some hints about preserving the changes youve made to the AFROS disk image or ARAnyM configuration (you might also want to read File Restoration -> HowTo in the X11 desktop). Note that this is untested by me and might be dangerous. Try it on your own risk only.

Borg Live is a bootable CD-Rom containing a GNU/Linux operative system, that permits you to boot directly from the CD, without the need of an hard disk installation .
The system is based on Slax , the Slackware Linux Live CD.

To use the Live CD , you need:
A Computer PC-Compatible ( not a MAC one )
A Bios that permit to boot from the CD drive
A Pentium III ( or AMD equivalent ) or better CPU
64 Mb RAM
A CD-Rom or DVD unit
A Mouse ( better if PS2 or USB )
# Instructions for the first boot
1) enable BIOS to boot from Cd-rom
2) Insert the Cd
3) Take a look at the boot options , just when the image appears , pressing F1
4) ( Write down your desired options if any , then ) Press Enter
5) Login as root , no password
