The player is easy to configure and embed into your home page, site, or blog.
FlowPlayer.swf is a player that is ready to be used out-of-the box. FlowPlayer.html is an example of Web page that uses it. The name of the video file to be loaded by the player is specified in html page in the < object > tags flashvars attribute. This attribute is there in two places (both in < objec t> and < embed > tags) to maximize the number of supported Web browsers.
By default, the player loads the video file from the same location as it loads FlowPlayer.swf. The name of this variable is videoFile and the value should be the name of the video file with or without an extension.
There is also a way to specify a complete URL. This is done using the baseURL variable. When this mechanism is used the video files and FlowPlayer.swf may reside in different locations within the Web server or even in different servers.
autoPlay variable is used to specify whether playback should start immediately when the player has been loaded into the Web browser. Legal values for this parameter are true and false.

OptimFROG is a lossless audio compression program. Its main goal is to reduce at maximum the size of audio files, while permitting bit identical restoration for all input. It is similar with the ZIP compression, but it is highly specialized to compress audio data.
OptimFROG obtains asymptotically the best lossless audio compression ratios. It has Windows, Linux, and Mac versions, fully featured input plug-ins for the Windows Media Player, foobar2000, Winamp2/3/5, dBpowerAMP, XMPlay, QCD, and XMMS audio players (with bitstream error resilience, ID3v1.1 and APEv2 read tagging support, ID3v2 compatible), optimal support for all integer PCM wave formats up to 32 bits and an extensible streamable (error tolerant) compressed format. It is also fast, the default mode encodes CD quality audio data at 12.4x real-time and decodes at 17.4x real-time on AMD Athlon XP 1800+ (the fastest mode encodes at 28.1x real-time and decodes at 24.7x real-time). Self-extracting (sfx) archives can also be created with a small overhead of just 54 KB.
The compression ratios which can obtained with OptimFROG are generally ranging from 25% (silent classical music) to 70% (loud rock music) of the original audio file size. This is less compared with around 13% obtained with high quality MP3 files (~176 kb), but you have the great advantage of archiving and listening at perfect copies of your original music.
OptimFROG uses a new audio compression technology, the generalized stereo decorrelation concept (together with the optimal predictor), which was first introduced with OptimFROG 4.0b in December 2001. At the time of its introduction, the new technology yielded significant better (~1.5%) compression than existing state of the art lossless audio compressors.<<less

Simple Flash Menu allows fast constructing nested menus for html pages (like on left side of this page), simply by editing xml file. No, dont afraid, xml knowledge isnt required, look on example and make similar.
This done with macromedia flash, you must place on server flash script which will analyze xml file and draw menus depending on its contest (about 10KB) and xml file or multiple xml files describing your menus. Nothing more must be done.
Now available two versions: one - very small without any decorations, and a bit larger with simple menu decorations. You can choose depending on your needs.
Requirements: any browser with Macromedia Flash Player 5 or Macromdia Flash Player 6 (MX) plugin. Wouldnt work with Flash Player 4 and earliers.
Tested in Internet Explorer 6.0, 6.0 SP1; Mozilla 0.9.8 - 1.2b (aka Netscape 6-7); Netscape 4.78; Opera 6.0 - 6.0.4, 7.0b1 in Linux and Windows enviroments.

GNU Gnash is a Flash movie player. Till now it has been possible to play flash movies with proprietary software.
While there are a few free flash players, none supports anything higher than SWF v4 at best. Gnash is based on GameSWF, and supports many SWF v7 features.
Main features:
Runs standalone
- Gnash can run standalone to play flash movies.
Firefox plugin
- Gnash can also run as a plugin from within Firefox.

- Gnash can play many current flash movies.
XML Message server

Building Gnash:
To build Gnash, you currently need the Mozilla or Firefox development packages installed. I have added the basic Mozilla SDK files, so at least you dont need the full Mozilla/Firefox sources. You can tell if you have these packages installed, because either a firefox-config or mozilla-config should be present. If neither of these arent present, the plugin wont be part of the build.
If these are present, then when you install the plugin, it gets installed in the plugin directory of the same firefox thats in your path.
You can also specify explicit paths to the Mozilla SDK by using the --with-firefox, --with-firefox-libraries, or --with-firefox-headers options at configure time. Youll also want the OpenGL development package and the SDL development packages installed as well.
Currently the plugin renders a hard coded OpenGL graphic in the allocated window within the browers. Youll have better luck with the standalone version, gnash. Development of the plugin is continuing, however, now that much of the basic creation of this new project is done.
Im using the Mozilla plugin API, so although the functionality of the plugin is limited at this time, it has worked in a variety of different versions of Mozilla and Firefox.

- Streaming video to YouTube, Lulu.tv, and other sites now works.
- New FLTK GUI support.
- A new drawing API has been implemented for MovieClips.
- An extension mechanism for creating custom ActionScript classes.
