LinkController 0.37
LinkController is a group of programs designed to take away much of the work of maintaining the links in a web site. more>>
LinkController is a group of programs designed to take away much of the work of maintaining the links in a web site. Instead of the user running the program checking whether links are broken, LinkController does this automatically. When it finds a broken link it checks it several times across several days before reporting it broken. This means that if a link is repaired in the meantime (a common case), the user will never be bothered.
All the functionalities are in place for testing links and repairing problem identified. The software is under development so stability is totally not guaranteed, but then with the exception of the fix-link program, there shouldnt be much risk of data loss so dont worry and make sure you backup your web pages just like normal.
Main features:
- repeatedly checks a link before declaring it broken
- rapid repair of links based on database
- easy but configurable reporting
- access to pages requiring authentication (new/experimental)
- CGI pages for reporting and repair
- scalability - thousands of links across thousands of pages possible
- low network impact: slow checking and well spread
- low resource utilisation: mostly uses HEAD requests
- configurability
- designed for multi-user use
Enhancements:
- Bugfix for checking of incorrect links which get into the database somehow.

SlimScrobbler 0.37.5
SlimScrobbler is an slimserver plugin that builds a profile of your musical tastes. more>>
SlimScrobbler project will submit music files that you listen to on your Squeezebox to Last.FM, where it will show up on your recently-played list and count towards your listening statistics.
If you want to listen to Last.FM internet radio through your Squeezebox, then you also need James Craigs Last.FM plugin - and very good it is too.
Once upon a time there were two websites, one called Audioscrobbler, and one called Last.FM. Audioscrobbler tracked what you listened to on your PC; Last.FM provided personalised streaming radio.
In 2005 they merged completely and dropped the "Audioscrobbler" name. Thats why all the plugins for Last.FM tend to be called Scrobblers.
Enhancements:
- Changed tag submission format again!

EDDIE Tool 0.37.3.1
EDDIE Tool functions as a system monitoring, security and performance analysis agent created completely in Python. more>> EDDIE Tool 0.37.3.1 functions as a system monitoring, security and performance analysis agent created completely in Python. Its key features are portability, powerful configuration and ease of expansion. It runs standalone on a system and performs checks and other actions as defined by an extensible configuration.
Major Features:
- The EDDIE Tool can perform all basic system monitoring checks, such as: filesystem; processes; system load; and network configuration. It can also perform such network monitoring tasks as: ping checks; HTTP checks; POP3 tests; SNMP queries; RADIUS authentication tests; and customized TCP port checks. Finally, a few checks lend themselves to security monitoring: watching files for changes; and scanning logfiles.
- The EDDIE Tool can also send any collected statistic to RRD files to be displayed graphically by any standard RRD tool. No need to run multiple monitoring and data collection agents.
- Monitoring rules are just like Python expressions and can be as simple or as complex as needed. Advanced alert control functionality such as exponential back-off and dependencies are also standard.
- The EDDIE Tool has been designed to be as platform-independent as possible. It is written in 100% Python and will run on all platforms that Python runs on. Only a few system-dependent modules must be customized for individual platforms for system data collection. System-dependent modules are included for: Linux; Solaris; HP-UX; OpenBSD; Darwin/OS X; FreeBSD and Windows (Win32) .

KJam Build Tool 0.37
KJam is a build tool like make. more>>
KJam is a build tool like make. It uses a syntax similar to Jam, with more powerful features than the original Jam.
It has built-in very fast dependency scanning, per-target viewpathing, and C-like control flow. It is optimized for multi-processor machines. It can accelerate building by launching build actions on a distributed peer to peer network of build servers.
KJam Build Tool is designed to support large projects with thousands of targets, or projects requiring building on many target architectures.
KJam is designed to be:
Unintrusive and clean KJam is small. It has negligible CPU overhead, and it doesnt create or leave behind temporary files.
Scalable KJam is able to build large projects spread across many directories in a single pass and can manage and distribute build steps to multiple processors on one or more networked machines.
Highly portable KJam currently runs only on Windows, but it is designed to be easily portable. Ports to Linux and OSX are planned.
Multiplatform Platform independent rules and platform specific actions can be defined separately from dependency rules.
Customizable Developers can enhance and extend KJam by creating user defined rules to utilize other built-in directives.
Language KJam includes flow-control statements, variables, and a few other features of general purpose languages.
Automatic Dependencies KJam computes dependencies for its targets during building. There is no need for a separate off-line make depend step.
Enhancements:
- A new "immediate" action modifier keyword was added, which causes actions to be run as soon as they are parsed, instead of during the command phase.
- Output formatting was improved.
- Several bugs were fixed.

DateTime is a class for the representation of date/time combinations, and is part of the Perl DateTime project. For details on this project please see http://datetime.perl.org/. The DateTime site has a FAQ which may help answer many "how do I do X?" questions. The FAQ is at http://datetime.perl.org/faq.html.
It represents the Gregorian calendar, extended backwards in time before its creation (in 1582). This is sometimes known as the "proleptic Gregorian calendar". In this calendar, the first day of the calendar (the epoch), is the first day of year 1, which corresponds to the date which was (incorrectly) believed to be the birth of Jesus Christ.
The calendar represented does have a year 0, and in that way differs from how dates are often written using "BCE/CE" or "BC/AD".
For infinite datetimes, please see the DateTime::Infinite module.

XTM::LTM 0.37
XTM::LTM is a Topic Map Parsing of LTM instances. more>>
XTM::LTM is a Topic Map Parsing of LTM instances.
SYNOPSIS
# reading a topic map description from a file/url
$ltm = new XTM::LTM (file => mymap.ltm);
$tm = $ltm->sync_in();
This package provides parsing functionality for LTM instances as described in the package documentation (doc directory) or at
http://www.ontopia.net/download/ltm.html
Following clarifications and deviations relative to the LTM specification hold:
comments:
The parser does NOT recognizes nested comments. Any closest following */ sequence terminates a comment.
scope:
Only exactly ONE topic can be specified for a scope, but violations are currently not captured (open issue).
role type:
If a role is not specified, it will remain empty and not - as the specification mandates - will be substituted by the topic type.
The reasons for this are that, first, a topic might have several types (which one to use?), secondly that there might be several topics in a member and thirdly, a role should generally NOT be the type of a member.
This approach would somehow violate the idea of roles in associations, so this should not be encouraged by any tool.
merging:
Merging happens according to the XTM standard. This may affect the item 4 of section 3.2 according to which topics may be merged without error having different subject addresses.
encoding:
Only the encodings supported by the local Text::Iconv module are supported.
BASEURI directive:
Not (yet) implemented.
TOPICMAP directive:
Not implemented.
This directive can give a name to the current topic map. The idea is that this name can be used inside the map to point to the map. An example would be a topic reifying the map.
As the map is a resource (either explicit or via a map expression, XTM::Virtual), there seems to be no good reason to provide an additional name.
MERGEMAP directive:
The HyTime, ISO13250 format is not implemented as there is currently no driver in XTM::base. The strings determining the format are checked case-insensitive, so ASTMA and AsTMa are treated equally.
The location of the map can be defined via any URI handled by LWP::Simple. If no scheme is provided file: will be assumed.
The format string can be omitted. Then the parser will interpret the location string as tau expression (XTM::Virtual).
