libSRTP 1.4.4
libSRTP is an implementation of the Secure Real-time Transport Protocol. more>>
SRTP is a security profile for RTP that adds confidentiality, message authentication, and replay protection to that protocol. It is specified in RFC 3711. More information on the SRTP protocol itself can be found on the Secure RTP Page.
Installation:
./configure [ options ] # GNU autoconf script
make # or gmake if needed; use GNU make
The configure script accepts the following options:
--help provides a usage summary
--disable-debug compile without the runtime debugging system
--enable-syslog use syslog for error reporting
--disable-stdout use stdout for error reporting
--enable-console use /dev/console for error reporting
--gdoi use GDOI key management (disabled at present)
By default, debbuging is enabled and stdout is used for debugging. You can use the above configure options to have the debugging output sent to syslog or the system console. Alternatively, you can define ERR_REPORTING_FILE in include/conf.h to be any other file that can be opened by libSRTP, and debug messages will be sent to it.
This package has been tested on Mac OS X (powerpc-apple-darwin1.4),
Cygwin (i686-pc-cygwin), and Sparc (sparc-sun-solaris2.6). Previous
versions have been tested on Linux and OpenBSD on both x86 and sparc
platforms.
Enhancements:
- Release 1.4.4 is a snapshot of the code in CVS, which has been slowly accumulating minor fixes and extensions.
JClaim 4.4.37
JClaim is an instant message client, tools, and development framework. more>>
The framework can be used for designing your own tools. The UI includes spell checking and a lot more. A Web interface is included for remote access.
WvStreams 4.4
WvStreams is a library set composed of a number of parts. more>>
It was constructed over the lifetime of the NetIntegrator mostly by apenwarr but also with tons of help from dcoombs. More recently, just about everyone in NITI R&D, as well as several people from the WvStreams MailingList have contributed many features, or helped us improve existing features.
WvStreams aims to be an efficient, secure, easy-to-use, and OS-independent library for doing network applications development, and we think that it has pretty much lived up to those goals. Currently all or parts of it work under Linux, *BSD, Solaris, and MAC OS X. Some parts have been ported to Windows, with a more complete port coming really soon.
Most people who have read WvStreams-based code seem to be very impressed with how readable it makes application programs. It would have been impossible to build WvDial, TunnelVision, Retchmail, and the rest of the programs found on this site as quickly as we did without a good framework library.
Currently, what documentation exists is a bit sporadic. The header files from the source code are fairly well documented, and, for those looking for examples, all of the programs on this site have been developed using this library, so you should be able to get some ideas from them.
Enhancements:
- The event loop model has been changed to allow for greater performance in the future.
- The X509 certificate and CRL API have been extended to support more features required for comprehensive X509 path validation.
Glom 1.4.4
Glom allows you to design database table definitions and the relationships between them. more>>
The design is loosely based upon FileMaker Pro, with the added advantage of separation between interface and data. It attempts to provide a simple generic framework sufficient to implement most database applications. These systems normally consists of lots of repetitive, unmaintainable code.
Glom-specific data such as the relationship definitions is saved in the Glom document. Glom re-connects to the database server when it loads a previous Glom document. The document is in XML format.
Glom uses the PostgresSQL database backend but it can not edit databases that it did not create, because it uses only a simple subset of Postgres functionality.
Sylpheed 2.4.4
Sylpheed is a GTK+ based, lightweight, and fast email client. more>>
Sylpheed also has many features such as multiple accounts, POP3/APOP support, thread display, and multipart MIME.
One of Sylpheeds future goals is to be fully internationalized. The messages are managed in the MH format, so youll be able to use it together with another mailer that uses the MH format.
Clarence 0.4.4
Clarence is a small programmers calculator. more>>
Clarence is a PyGTK-based frontend to the eval function with some enhancements. It uses all Pythons operators, math module functions and constants.
It can handle all basic numerical formats including Dec, Hex, Bin, Oct, and ASCII. Expressions can be entered in an entry field without mouse operations.
SMPEG 0.4.4
SMPEG is SDL MPEG Player Library. more>>
SMPEG is based on UC Berkeleys mpeg_play software MPEG decoder and SPLAY, an mpeg audio decoder created by Woo-jae Jung. We have completed the initial work to wed these two projects in order to create a general purpose MPEG video/audio player for the Linux OS.
Based on our initial work, SMPEG is able to playback MPEG video with sound on Pentium II based systems. SMPEG does not achieve adequate performance on slower systems.
SMPEG is offered under the GNU Library Public License (LGPL).
We hope that by making this tool available to the open source community that others will be able to use it for their own products, and that this tool can be expanded and enhanced for everyones benefit.
Slibo 0.4.4
Slibo project is a chess interface and engine for KDE. more>>
Slibo aims to be a comfortable replacement for the xboard chess interface, written for OpenGL and KDE.
It uses the xboard protocol and can be used with common chess engines like crafty or gnuchess, but it provides its own chess engine too.
Though its designed to be easy to use for the new chess player, it supports playing multiple games the same time, or anaylzing PGN files with multiple engines.
Proview 4.4.2-1
Proview is probably the first Open Source system for process control in the world. more>> <<less
LinCVS 1.4.4
LinCVS is an easy to use graphical CVS client. more>>
Basic operations like add, remove and commit are supported as matter of course, just like showing the actual differences between the server version and the local sandbox, graphical display of the version tree, and manifoldy graphical support of project maintenance. All actions are logged on the cvs server (configurable via history), and are therewith comprehensible.
To keep LinCVS independant of the cvs version, LinCVS uses the local but separat installed cvs and therewith always should work with the latest version.
After choosing a startup dir, the project-explorer searches the subdirectories for cvs projects, and displays these on the workbench. Now all functions on one/many files or whole directories can be accessed over pulldown menues or simply a right mouseclick. The state of the individual directories is continuously scanned by LinCVS.
This means the symbol of the dir tells the user that there are for example still uncommited changes somewhere in the depth of a dir hierarchy, even without having opened them yet. So the project state is visualized right after a cvs status call. Completed with on-the-fly dir scanning, LinCVS is qualified for large projects with many thousand files.
Because of the continuous efforts of network administrators, to encrease network security, LinCVS supports all standard cvs connection protocols. Proxy support is also available, this requires a patched cvs. This is of course available on our download page.
Because LinCVS does not affect the cvs internal project maintenance, a concurrent use with cvs commandline is possible. The function of the LinCVS dir state display is not impaired therewith.
Even though LinCVS graphically supports almost the whole cvs range of functions (and is continuously under development;-), it is easy to customize the GUI to the individual needs. Popup menues are freely configurable, while the menues always provide full feature access. An extra toolbar enables direct access to often used features.
In contrast to other programs this one is really easy to use.
Enhancements:
- This version fixes a lot of bugs.
