POCO C++ Libraries 1.3.1
POCO C++ Libraries project are the next generation C++ class libraries for network-centric applications. more>>
POCO C++ Libraries project are the next generation C++ class libraries for network-centric applications.
POCO, the C++ Portable Components, is a collection of open source C++ class libraries that simplify and accelerate the development of network-centric, portable applications in C++. The libraries integrate perfectly with the C++ Standard Library and fill many of the functional gaps left open by it.
Their modular and efficient design and implementation makes the C++ Portable Components extremely well suited for embedded development, an area where the C++ programming language is becoming increasingly popular, due to its suitability for both low-level (device I/O, interrupt handlers, etc.) and high-level object-oriented development. Of course, POCO is also ready for enterprise-level challenges.
The POCO libraries free developers from re-inventing the wheel, and allow them to spend their time on more worthwhile areas, such as getting things done quickly and working on the features that make their application unique.

Gnome Devtool Libraries 0.7.0
Gnome Devtool Libraries project contains components and libraries that are intended to be shared between GNOME development tools more>>
Gnome Devtool Libraries project contains components and libraries that are intended to be shared between GNOME development tools, including gnome-debug,
gnome-build, and anjuta2.
The current pieces of GDL include:
- A symbol browser bonobo component (symbol-browser-control).
- A docking widget (gdl).
- A utility library that also contains the stubs and skels for the symbol browser and text editor components (gdl, idl).
Discussion of GDL development takes place on the gnome-devtools@gnome.org
mailing list and on #devel-apps at irc.gnome.org.
GDL is licensed under the terms of the GPL.
Installation:
The simplest way to compile this package is:
1. `cd to the directory containing the packages source code and type `./configure to configure the package for your system. If youre using `csh on an old version of System V, you might need to type `sh ./configure instead to prevent `csh from trying to execute `configure itself.
Running `configure takes awhile. While running, it prints some messages telling which features it is checking for.
2. Type `make to compile the package.
3. Optionally, type `make check to run any self-tests that come with the package.
4. Type `make install to install the programs and any data files and documentation.
5. You can remove the program binaries and object files from the source code directory by typing `make clean. To also remove the files that `configure created (so you can compile the package for a different kind of computer), type `make distclean. There is also a `make maintainer-clean target, but that is intended mainly for the packages developers. If you use it, you may have to get all sorts of other programs in order to regenerate files that came with the distribution.

Bibliophile 3.0
Bibliophile is a collection of libraries for Web-based literature database development. more>>
Bibliophile project is a collection of libraries for Web-based literature database development that were created to align the development of bibliographic databases for the Web.
Bibliophile was founded by Mark Grimshaw (Wikindx), Matthias Steffens (RefBase) and Daniel Pozzi (PHPBibMan) in 2004. Our goal is to promote collaboration between developers and end-users of bibliographic databases.
We provide GPL PHP libraries to be used in any project for conversion, import and export of bibliographic exchange formats (EndNote, BibTeX etc.), formatting of raw bibliographic data and citations (APA, Chicago, IEEE etc.) and a range of other utilities.
One future target is to establish a technology to provide cross-site searches for references. BPCentral, the central server will hold a catalogue of installations and the kind of search interface they provide and some more information. A first preliminary version is already up and running.
We provide GPL PHP libraries to be used in any project for conversion, import and export of bibliographic exchange formats (EndNote, BibTeX etc.), formatting of raw bibliographic data and citations (APA, Chicago, IEEE etc.) and a range of other utilities. Packages include:
- OSBiB ~ bibliography/citation formatter comprising tools to format bibliographies and citations within a block of text and to create and edit styles. Styles bundled with the download include APA, MLA, Chicago, Turabian, Harvard, British Medical Journal and IEEE. The bibliography and citation formatting can be tested here.
- bibtexParse ~ parse a BibTeX .bib file into PHP arrays.
- charmyKnife ~ the Swiss Army Knife of character conversion.
- minimalRtf ~ provides minimal Rich Text Formatting for marking-up text.
- modsParse ~ parse a MODS file in PHP arrays.

Ham Radio Control Libraries 1.2.6.2
Ham Radio Control Libraries, Hamlib for short, is a development effort to provide a consistent interface for programmers. more>>
Ham Radio Control Libraries is a development effort to provide a consistent interface for programmers wanting to incorporate radio control in their programs.
Hamlib is not a complete user application, rather, it is a software layer intended to make controlling various radios and other shack hardware much easier.
Hamlib will allow authors of such software as logging programs, digital communications programs, or those wanting to develop the ultimate radio control software to concentrate on the user interface and the basic function of the program rather than radio control.
Most recent amateur radio transceivers allow external control of their functions through a serial interface. Unfortunately, control commands are not always consistent across a manufacturers product line and each manufacturers product line differs greatly from its competitors.
Hamlib attempts to solve this problem by presenting a "virtual radio" to the programmer by providing an API to actions such as setting a given VFOs frequency, setting the operating mode, querying the radio of its current status and settings, and giving the application a list of a given radios capabilities. Unfortunately, what can be accomplished by hamlib is limited by the radios themselves and some offer very limited capability.

Oracle Aggregate C++ Library Beta1
Oracle Aggregate C++ Library allows C++ programmers to easily create new aggregate functions for Oracle. more>>
Oracle Aggregate C++ Library allows C++ programmers to easily create new aggregate functions for Oracle.
Oracle Aggregate C++ Library can be used as a glue library to existing C++ and C libraries. Detailed knowledge of the OCI aggregate interface is not required to use the library.
With automatic conversion of Oracle built-in types to C++ types it is possible to use the library without using any OCI functions directly.
The Oracle OCI interface for aggregate functions provides a straightforward way to implement aggregate functions in C or C++. There is, however, a certain amount of bookkeeping that needs to be performed in order to use the interface. The goal of this library is to take care of all the bookkeeping details for your, all you need to provide is the aggregate function itself. This makes it particularly easy to use existing C++ code and libraries in Oracle aggregate functions.
Design
The way the library works is that it defines the shared library entry point functions required by Oracle. The entry point functions simply forward all arguments to the static functions of the Aggregate class.
The Aggregate class along with a number of helper classes and functions takes care of converting arguments, configuring the environment, creating implementation instances and such. When everything is ready the arguments originally sent by Oracle are passed to your aggregate implementation.

The CImg Library 1.2.2
The CImg Library is a C++ Template Image Processing Library. more>>
The CImg Library is a C++ Template Image Processing Library.
It is portable (Unix/X11, Windows, MacOS X), efficient, and simple to use.
Main features:
- The CImg Library is an open source C++ toolkit for image processing. It provides simple classes and functions to load, save, process and display images in your own C++ code.
- It is highly portable and fully works on Unix/X11, Windows, MacOS X and FreeBSD operating systems. It should compile on other systems as well (eventually without display capabilities).
- It consists only of a single header file CImg.h that must be included in your C++ program source.
- It contains useful image processing algorithms for image loading/saving, displaying, resizing/rotating, filtering, object drawing (text, lines, faces, curves, ellipses,..), etc...
- Images are instancied by a class able to represent images up to 4-dimension wide (x,y,z,v) (from 1-D scalar signals to 3-D volumes of vector-valued pixels), with template pixel types.
- It depends on a minimal number of libraries : you can compile it only with standard C libraries. No need for exotic libraries and complex dependencies.
- Additional features appear with the use of ImageMagick, libpng or libjpeg: install the ImageMagick package or link your code with libpng and libjpeg to be able to load and save compressed image formats (GIF,BMP,TIF,JPG,PNG,...). Available for any platforms.
Enhancements:
New features :
- Added CImg ::distance_function() that can compute distance function to the 0-isophote.
