LAME is short from LAME Aint an MP3 Encoder and is a research project for learning about and improving MP3 encoding technology. LAME includes an MP3 encoding library, simple frontend application, a much-improved psycho-acoustic model (GPSYCHO), and a graphical frame analyzer (MP3x).
Please note that any commercial use (including distributing the LAME encoding engine in a free encoder) may require a patent license from Thomson Multimedia.

Apache::MP3::Skin is a subclass of Apache::MP3::Playlist with the ability to "skin" the output using HTML::Template.

Apache::MP3::Skin subclasses Apache::MP3::Playlist enabling the use of skin files which are html files with special tags enabled by HTML::Template. See Apache::MP3 for details on installing and using.

AudioFile::Info::MP3::Info is a Perl extension to get info from MP3 files.

This is a plugin for AudioFile::Info which uses MP3::ID3Lib to get data about MP files.

MP3::ID3Lib is a Perl module for ID3v1/ID3v2 Tagging of MP3 files.

This module allows you to edit and add ID3 tags in MP3 files.
ID3 tags are small pieces of information stored inside the MP3 file. They can contain bits of metadata about the MP3, such as album name, song name, artist, original artist, genre, composer, year of release, additional comment fields, and many more.
