KToon is a 2D Animation Toolkit designed by animators (Toonka Films ) for animators, focused to the Cartoon Industry.
KToon is covered by the GPL License using G++, OpenGL and QT as programming resources from KDevelop as the development platform.
By now, KToon is only available for Unix systems but we expect to make it works on Windows systems too someday.

Tao Linux is a project to build a free Linux distribution from the sources used in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux product line.
The target market is either experienced system administrators who would like freely available binaries of this code, or end users who are interested in experimenting with enterprise functionality.
Besides being mostly compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3, it also includes software packages such as Eclipse and clustering tools not found in the base RHEL products.

Pyro stands for Python Robotics. The goal of the project is to provide a programming environment for easily exploring advanced topics in artificial intelligence and robotics without having to worry about the low-level details of the underlying hardware. That is not to say that Pyro is just a toy. In fact, Pyro is used for real robotics research as well as courseware.

Robots: Currently, the robots supported include the Pioneer family (Pioneer, Pioneer2, PeopleBot robots), the Khepera family (Khepera, Khepera 2 and Hemisson robots), the AIBO, the IntelliBrain-Bot, and the Roomba.

Simulators: Pyro is integrated with several existing robot simulators including Robocup Soccer, Player/Stage, Gazebo and the Khepera simulator.

Pyro Live CD is based on newest Knoppix 5.1.1 and can be placed in any PC that can boot off of a CD., and you can be running Pyro and other robotics software immediately. No need to install anything! This works even on Windows PCs, laptops, and desktops. Great for students, labs, and presentations.

Phantomix is a Knoppix based Operating System running on a CD drive without using the hard drive.
Phantomix Live CD is configured to use the Tor and Privoxy software for anonymous internet communication.
Using Tor can help you anonymize web browsing and publishing, instant messaging, IRC, SSH, and other applications for your safety and security.
Known Issues:
- compared to direct internet connection, browsing is slow
- due to ad and junk filtering some sites may not work as expected (googlemail, ezboard)
- sometimes pages have to be reloaded very often until they are displayed correctly.

Maemo Live CD is a Knoppix (in fact Kanotix) based Linux distribution that contains a pre-built Maemo Environment as well as scratchbox for developing applications.

Thus the Live CD can be used for demonstrating the Maemo GUI and for developing applications without having to install scratchbox.

Since the Live CD is still alpha quality you might run into one of the issues listed at the bottom of the page.

Usage:

You can use the Live CD just like any Knoppix CD to boot directly into an XFCE desktop with a running Xvnc and a scratchbox terminal. In this terminal you can start the Maemo GUI and applications.

Since version 0.5a it is also possible to work over a TCP/IP network, either between physically connected machines or between a host machine running VMware or Virtual PC. For this purpose, the scratchbox directory is available as samba share, SSH login is allowed and the Maemo GUI is exported via Xvnc.

1 . Boot the Maemo Live-CD. If you do not need the GUI, edit the "kernel" line in grub and add "3" to boot to runlevel 3.
1 . Use your favourite SSH-Client to log in to the Maemo box. Login is "knoppix", password is "maemo".
1 . Set some environment variables: export DISPLAY=localhost:3.0 export LANGUAGE=en_GB
1 . Start the Maemo GUI /scratchbox/login af-sb-init.sh start
1 . Use your favourite VNC-Viewer to connect to Xvnc, do not forget to connect to "ip-address:3", since Xvnc is running on display 3.
1 . A Samba server provides access to /home, /tmp and /scratchbox.

Nbed-Nakooki Live CD is a generalist GNU/Linux OS for the x86 platform.
It is based entirely on two projects :
- Norean, a collection of tools for Linux distribution creators.
Nbed is on of the Norean tools, that is used to generate the live-CD using Nakooki packages.
- Nakooki, a demonstration and pedagogic implementation of Norean tools in the form of a small source-centric distribution, that can also be used as a start point for other distributions.

Its also the result of the work on Nbed, that will offer many more things in the future. This Live-CD is a proof of concept of Nbed, at this point in time. Since Nakooki is a simple collection of packages definitions, to be compiled by yourself - without any installation CD or such, Nbed-Nakooki is a simple opportunity to allow people testing and installing (with Nbed-HD-install) a Nakooki system on their Hard Drive without special skills required.
However, even if this cant be compared in terms of features, support, etc. Nbed-Nakooki has the following advantages:
- Its very Simple to use, no complicated questions.
- Has very good performances, once the desktop is loaded.
- Its based on a very classic system, easy to understand (for those already using Linux)

Phoenix Live CD is a Physics with Homemade Equipment and Innovative Experiments Live Linux distribution. Booting from the Live CD, based on SLAX, starts a GNU/Linux operating system with several software development tools and scientific computation packages pre-installed.

Put the CD in the drive and reboot the machine. Follow the instructions displayed to start the graphics mode. Hard disk of your PC is not used by default but it can be enabled for saving experimental data.

If you have the Phoenix Interface hardware connected, you can run the phoenix programs from the main menu. You can also write and run your own programs. Compilers and graphics libraries required for developing programs are part of the CD. It is also possible to browse this CD by opening the file index.html.

Rails Live CD project was born on Ezra Zygmuntowicz blog and realized with help from Brian Ketelsen. Rails Live CD is based on PCLinuxOS which is a great Linux distribution for creating LiveCDs. More information at PCLinusOS.com
