Free konqueror plugin software for linux

Konqueror Burning Sidebar is a KDE ioslave and sidebar that lets you create and burn CDs or DVDs from Konqueror. K3b provides most of the backend.

(Used to be called kio_burn)

The sidebar currently supports burning data and audio CDs.

Quick start guide:

The interface for version 0.8 is very different to previous versions. This page explains how to use the new interface.

Firstly, install the package. If you are using the source package this is done with something like

$ configure --prefix=/usr
$ make
$ su -c "make install"

Note that you need to set the "prefix" directory to be the one where KDE is installed.
Close all Konqueror windows you have open, hit Alt-F2, type "killall konqueror" and click "run".

Now open up a new Konqueror window. If it is not already visible, hit F9 to show the sidebar. Hopefully you will now see a yellow CD icon in one of the sidebar buttons on the left. If not, left click below the buttons and select Add New -> CD Writer. If this does not work, you may need to use "Rollback to system default".

SoundCard Plugin is an input plugin for XMMS which enables to read audio data directly from the soundcard.

Using the plugin you can now use your computer with the XMMS player as a powerful sound processor with any of XMMS effect plugins, such as, equalizer or echo effects.

In particular, this plugin in combination with the FIR filter plugin enables you to use your PC as a DSP to process audio data in real-time using long FIR filters without any need for dedicated DSP hardware.

Kopete KTTS Plugin is a plugin for Kopete, that lets you use the KTextToSpeech subsystem in various ways.

Kopete KTTS Plugin can announce messages (including saying the senders name), read messages and announce status changes (again, including saying the contacts name).

It is also highly configurable: global settings can be overridden on a per contact basis, each contacts name can be overridden internally to set it to something properly pronounced by the subsystem. A properly set up KTTS subsystem is required.

Usage:

- Install the plugin via the Aero-AIO config dialog.

This is a plugin for the Konqueror file manager, which adds an additional tab to the file properties dialogue allowing the destination of a symbolic link to be viewed and changed.
The plugin is released under the GNU General Public Licence, see the file LICENSE within the distribution archive for further information.
The plugin is installed in much the same way as any other KDE or GNU application; you must have the Qt toolkit and KDE 3.1.2 or later already installed, of course. Enhancements:
- Accelerator key "&Symbolic Link" for tab now clashes with "&Share" (KDE 3.3.2).
- Change accelerator to "S&ymbolic Link".
