Kredentials 0.9.2
Kredentials is a KDE systray applet for keeping Kerberos and AFS authentication tokens current. more>>
Kredentials is a KDE systray applet for keeping Kerberos and AFS authentication tokens current.
Each hour Kredentials renews Kerberos tickets and (optionally) obtains new AFS tokens, and it notifies the user upon final ticket expiration.
Installation:
The simplest way to compile this package is:
1. `cd to the directory containing the packages source code and type `./configure to configure the package for your system. If youre using `csh on an old version of System V, you might need to type `sh ./configure instead to prevent `csh from trying to execute `configure itself.
Running `configure takes a while. While running, it prints some messages telling which features it is checking for.
2. Type `make to compile the package.
3. Type `make install to install the programs and any data files and documentation.
4. You can remove the program binaries and object files from the source code directory by typing `make clean.

ClockingIT 0.99.2
ClockingIT is a free to use hosted application, keeping track of all your tasks and the time you spend on them. more>>
ClockingIT is a free to use hosted application, keeping track of all your tasks and the time you spend on them.
Main features:
- time tracking & reports
- milestones & due dates
- tagging & search
- timeline & activity log
- notifications & rss
- no restrictions or limits
ClockingIT was created for fun, not profit, using Ruby on Rails.
Why?
It was created to fill a gap that presented itself while working full time as a consultant. Managing several projects across multiple clients, all wanting reports on progress, and remembering what to do, for who, became a chore. Thus, ClockingIT was born after 6 days of intense learn-as-you-go Ruby on Rails. It has since received quite a few make-overs and rewrites, but the basic idea and vision remains the same.
After giving up on consulting, we kept on programming as Ruby on Rails is a fun platform, and ClockingIT had turned into a usable application others might want to use as well.
Who?
The people behind ClockingIT are Erlend and Ellen Simonsen, a married couple living in Oslo, Norway. Erlend does all the programming, and most of the feature design, while Ellen does the interface design, graphics and colors.
How?
Were keeping it free, as were hosting on our own server, out of our apartment. We already had the internet link and server in place from other projects so we have no running costs, other than our time.
Enhancements:
- New features include task dependencies, recurring tasks, the ability to drag and drop folders and files, iCalendar feeds, email reminders, integrated installation/company/project-wide forums, more auto-completion, task grouping and sorting, and user avatars.

cstermin 0.03
cstermin project is a small scheduler for keeping track of recurring events like birthdays or one-time appointments. more>>
cstermin project is a small scheduler for keeping track of recurring events like birthdays or one-time appointments. The appointments are read from an configuration file created by the user and displayed on the console or with the help of a Gtk2 widget.
You can configure how long in advance you want to be informed, whether the entry should be deleted after passing, you want to be messaged every startup or only once a day and other things.
It is intended to be put into the autostart mechanism of your window manager when you usually start your machine at least once a day. Otherwise a cron job should do the job.
To sum up, cstermin follows the philosophy of "a small tool to solve one task" and tries to provide a simple tool for keeping track of all the birthdays and things you want to remember for next month (and always end up forgetting).
Enhancements:
- Console Output is done now in UTF-8.
- A Version parameter has been added to the command line.
- Appointments are now sorted by date for display.
- In the GTK2 Widget, separators have been added between passed, todays, and future appointments.
- Appointment alignment has been improved.
- Text Highlighting of "PASSED" and "TODAY" Appointments has been added, as well as a program icon.

BlueProximity 1.1
BlueProximity project helps you add a little more security to your desktop. more>>
BlueProximity project helps you add a little more security to your desktop. It does so by detecting one of your bluetooth devices, most likely your mobile phone, and keeping track of its distance. If you move away from your computer and the distance is above a certain level (no measurement in meters is possible) for a given time, it automatically locks your desktop (or starts any other shell command you want).
Once away your computer awaits its master back - if you are nearer than a given level for a set time your computer unlocks magically without any interaction (or starts any other shell command you want).

ShakeTracker 0.4.6
Shake tracker is a MIDI sequencer aimed to all the tracker lovers who allways wanted to go midi. more>>
Shake tracker is a MIDI sequencer aimed to all the tracker lovers who allways wanted to go midi, while keeping all sort of cool tracker features.
Shake tracker has a tracker-like interface which supports patterns, orders and IT-like effects.
Each track (midi channel) is subdivided in columns of its on, so this adds an extra layer to pattern editing. Note on, Noteoff and velocity are also implemented the usual way, while the effect column understands most of IT commands with similar parameter ranges. Finally, theres also a controller/effects column and plans for adding "paintable controllers" support.
Shake tracker has been programmed with MIDI bandwith issues in mind, so its perfectly usable on external synths, softsynths and soundcard synths. There is actually a Windows version of this program, but its not native and it needs you to install an Xserver.
Many features of modern sequencers are still missing, such as sysex and midi in, but the program is perfectly usable and many people wrote songs with it (check downloads section).
