Informant is a set of utilities for keeping a user informed of events. It consists of an informant, which is the means by which the user is alerted to the occurrence of the said event, and a number of sources that "whisper" an alert to the informant when the event occurs.

The current implementation is implemented as a Gnome Panel applet or a stand alone Gtk program. It is implemented in the Python programming language and uses the Twisted network programming framework.

When an alert has been whispered by a source, the text of the applet or Gtk program changes from "No alerts" to "New Alerts". The user can click on the text and a window will pop up containing a list of the alerts received and the time they were received. The sources provided are the original CVSToys source, an e-mail filter source and a daemonized version of it, an RSS feed source (relying on TouRSSt), a web page change monitoring source, and a simple command line source that can be called from anything else. The code for each of these sources is simple enough to follow that new sources can be written quite easily.

Economize! is a new KDE application for managing your personal finances. Economize! features bookkeeping by double entry, with support for scheduled recurring transactions and keeping track of investments in securities.

The focus of Economize! is efficiency and ease of use (with a clean and simple interface) for the small household economy.

There are no homepage yet as I am still not sure if Economize! is the best name for this application (suggestions are welcome).

Office Tournament project is a tool for keeping track of office tournaments, such as foosball.

You may enter data from the command line or from the CGI Web interface. It outputs all kinds of stats and even a nice chart if you use the Imager::Graph::Pie Perl library available from CPAN.

It currently requires no database to run, but there are plans to migrate the text (flat file db) to MySQL.

Gnomesword is a Bible study application for GNOME, a graphical desktop enviroment which is available for several Unix and Linux flavors.
GnomeSword is based on SWORD by the CrossWire Bible Society, a framework providing the possibility to study the Bible and additional information like commentaries, dictionaries and other texts using your computer.

Klaverjas Score is a program to keep track of the scores during a game of klaverjas (a Dutch card game).

The program is meant to replace written score keeping, making accurate score listing much easier. It also keeps track of previous games.

Klaverjas Score is very suitable for small groups of people that play together regularly and that would like to have a record and comparison of their games.

AmarokWhatsPlaying MAO is a script Amarok that sends through HTTP (method GET) the music name, artist and album that you are hearing.

How to use:

1. Edit variable

It must be informed the correct values of the following variables:

$LINKSCRIPT
$CHAVE

The variable LINKSCRIPT is the URL for the site where will be housed script cgi responsible amarok.cgi by receiving the information.

The variable ARQUIVO informs the file where it will be stored the information. Remember of, into server, create the empty file and to apply the permission of writing.

The variable QLIST informs the maximum quantity of name of musics stored in $ARQUIVO. The totally begins of zero, then for ten input the value should be nine.

The variable CHAVE should be the same that it was placed in script whatsplaying_mao.pl. for the facts are recorded in the $ARQUIVO $CHAVE = "secret";

2. Data format into $ARQUIVO.

ClockingIT was created for fun, not profit, using Ruby on Rails.
Why?
It was created to fill a gap that presented itself while working full time as a consultant. Managing several projects across multiple clients, all wanting reports on progress, and remembering what to do, for who, became a chore. Thus, ClockingIT was born after 6 days of intense learn-as-you-go Ruby on Rails. It has since received quite a few make-overs and rewrites, but the basic idea and vision remains the same.
After giving up on consulting, we kept on programming as Ruby on Rails is a fun platform, and ClockingIT had turned into a usable application others might want to use as well.
Who?
The people behind ClockingIT are Erlend and Ellen Simonsen, a married couple living in Oslo, Norway. Erlend does all the programming, and most of the feature design, while Ellen does the interface design, graphics and colors.
How?
Were keeping it free, as were hosting on our own server, out of our apartment. We already had the internet link and server in place from other projects so we have no running costs, other than our time.
Enhancements:
- New features include task dependencies, recurring tasks, the ability to drag and drop folders and files, iCalendar feeds, email reminders, integrated installation/company/project-wide forums, more auto-completion, task grouping and sorting, and user avatars.
