KDevelop 3.4.1

KDevelop 3.4.1

KDevelop is an easy to use IDE for KDE. more>>
KDevelop is a plugin based IDE that currently supports 12 programming languages, 5 build tools, 11 documentation formats, 4 revision control systems, 3 code editors, 5 development toolkits and dozens of other neat tools.
All these are plugins and there is documentation and examples on how to add your own plugins.
Main features:
New refactored codebase
- The KDevelop codebase has been refactored with the goal of improving code reuse and documenting the base library classes that compose KDevelop. These base classes form the new KDevelop platform and present a concise and well documented API
- New RAD (Rapid Application Development) tools
- KDevDesigner integration enables GUI design from within KDevelop itself
- KDevAssistent integration provides a feature rich documentation viewer from within KDevelop
- The C++ Class Wizard can now be used for classes in the persistant class store. This means, for example, that if the Code Completion database for Qt is built then subclassing from Qt classes is possible in the wizard
Much improved ruby language support
- New ruby debugger, combined with improved inspect methods in the qtruby/korundum bindings, for showing Qt::Object metadata such as properties, while debugging
- Class browser has an improved parser that shows Qt and DCOP signals and slots, attr_accessor methods and instance variables
- New project templates for a KDE application framework, KConfig XT, DCOP server and Qt only apps
- Full Qt designer/rbuic integration
- Other improvements and bugfixes
- The Version Control support was refactored. Most of the integration features that were disabled in KDevelop 3.1 are back in 3.2, together with a much improved Subversion plugin.
- Improved "Find in files", Ctags support and history navigation provide faster code navigation
- More application templates are provided
- new templates for cmake based C/C++ apps and libraries
- new templates for scons-based kde apps
- see the change log page for more detail
Enhancements:
- Improved debugger
- Improved code completion
- Improved SVN support

KwickDo 0.10

KwickDo 0.10

KwickDo software aims at easing the creation of new events/todo based on pre-recorded templates. more>>
KwickDo software aims at easing the creation of new events/todo based on pre-recorded templates. For example if you generally set your meetings to start at 10:00, last 1 hour and have a reminder 15 minutes before it starts, you can create this as a template and quickly create a new Event by typing #meeting# Meet with Bob as your Events name. The meeting will be created accordingly.

Note that it uses libkcals iCal implementation so it should be compatible with any iCal compatible organizer (such as Korganizer of course).

This is very Alpha version, with lots of things hard coded that should be configurable, and no internationalization (yet). It requires Qt4, KDE4 and libkdepim4 (+ headers).
I included the KDevelop files so itll be easy for you to have everything running if you use KDevelop.

KScope 1.6.0

KScope 1.6.0

KScope is a KDE front-end to Cscope. more>>
KScope is a Cscope frontend. KScope provides a source-editing environment for large C projects, such as the Linux kernel.
KScope is by no means intended to be a replacement to any of the leading Linux/KDE IDEs, such as KDevelop. First of all, it is not an Integrated Development Environment: it does not provide the usual write/compile/debug cycle supported by most IDEs. Instead, KScope is focused on source editing and analysis.
The most important difference, however, between KScope and common IDEs is that KScope is intended for use with projects written in C, i.e., in a functional-programming environment. Most IDEs specialise in object-oriented languages and are of little help to the C programmer. For example, displaying all functions in the Linux kernel as global objects in a "Classes" tree does not provide any meaningful information.
KScope, on the other hand, is built around an efficient mechanism for code-navigation, which allows the user to run queries on the code.
The types of queries KScope can run include:
- Get all references to a symbol
- Find the definition of a symbol
- Find all functions called by or calling to a function
- Find an EGrep pattern
- Find all files #including some file
- etc.
These queries are handled by an underlying Cscope process. KScope simply serves as a front-end to this process, feeding it with queries, and parsing its output into result lists. The items in those lists can later be selected to open an editor at the matching line.
Main features:
- Multiple editor windows (using your favourite KDE editor)
- Project management
- Front-end to most Cscope queries
- Tag list for every open editor
- Call-tree window
- Session management, including saving and restoring queries
- Works with externally-built cscope.out files
Enhancements:
- Many bug fixes
- Updated documentation

KStella 0.9.1

KStella 0.9.1

KStella is a KDE frontend to the Atari 2600 emulator, Stella. more>>
KStella is a KDE frontend to the Atari 2600 emulator, Stella. It currently supports the display of snapshots, labels, manuals, the configuration of individual game settings and of course, the ability to play games with just a click of the mouse.
All these features are fully customizable to allow maximum flexibility.
KStella is NOT an emulator. It is merely a frontend to Stella, a multi-platform, Atari 2600 emulator.
Enhancements:
- Fixed a bug where ROMs with the #" symbol wouldnt appear in the ROM list.
- Added a progress dialog box when loading ROM information from disk.
- Fixed problem with compiling on Mandrake 9.2 when using older versions of QT.
- Finally fixed the long-standing bug where KDE items (icons, rc files, etc.) would be installed in the wrong places. This was due to a bug in the configure script generated by KDevelop. Thats what I get for relying on a GUI development environment.
- Tested this release on Mandrake 9.2 and 10.0, Libranet 2.8.1 (Debian) and Suse 9.0.

Keep Listening 0.1.1

Keep Listening 0.1.1

The project is a simple program using xine code from mplayer (thanks!) to download BBC Listen Again streams. more>>
The project is a simple program using xine code from mplayer (thanks!) to download BBC Listen Again streams.
Simply open the "Listen with External Real Player" links with this program and you can save the Real audio file. Play it with mplayer, vlc, or even Real Player (their linux player is actually quite good amazingly).
To build it you just need Qt 4. If it doesnt work, you might want to generate mplayers config.h for your system, and then copy it over libreal/config.h
Ive also included a binary that might possible work if you are lucky, but this is linux so it probably wont.
Anyway, enjoy! Also Mark Thomas - legend.
PS: If someone wants to make some packages that automatically do the association thing, that would be great!
PPS: Progress bar is approximate - it will take as long to download as the programme lasts.
To install, do something like:
qmake
make
sudo make install
Then (for KDE):
Go to a BBC listen again stream. Download the .ram file linked to by "Listen in External Real Player".
Right click it->properties->Type: Edit file type->Add Application->/usr/bin/keeplistening
Enhancements:
- Fixed compilation errors (kdevelop assumed absolute paths)
- Close on errors
- Added auto-close checkbox (on by default)
- Ignore lines starting with ## in ram files.

BinaryKlock 0.1

BinaryKlock 0.1

BinaryKlock project is a binary clock kicker applet. more>>
BinaryKlock project is a binary clock kicker applet.

The special thing about this clock is that it displays the time in binary instead of using the decimal system.

Binary is pretty easy to read and many people will nonetheless stare at your desktop, not believing how you can read the time from that.

This is my first KDE application, let me know if you like it ;)

Building:

This is my first KDevelop project as well, and Im not yet extremely familiar with it. It generated the usual autoconf files and you should be able to build it like this:

./configure
make
make install

qmeterslib library provides a highly customizable Qt widget for creating complex analog dial widgets. more>>
qmeterslib library provides a highly customizable Qt widget for creating complex analog dial widgets. It supports multiple scales, multiple needles, and customizable needles and backgrounds.
qmeterslib library works as a "container" QAnalogMeter widget that is initially empty. The developer must create one or more instances of a scale (clock or sector) and one or more instances of index/needle (clock, donut, pie). A demo application is included.
Enhancements:
- All KDE dependence was removed from the demo and the project itself.
- The project is now based on Qmake instead of KDevelop.

Kurd 0.1

Kurd 0.1

KDE Universal Remote Desktop has the goal of becoming an extendable remote desktop control client frontend. more>>
KDE Universal Remote Desktop has the goal of becoming an extendable remote desktop control client frontend.

While Kurd is developed using KDevelop 3.0 (Gideon) on a Gentoo 1.4 system running KDE 3.1, the interface is generic enough that any KDE 3.x version should work. No testing outside of my development system has been done at this point.

The recommended backends for Kurd are:

rdesktop >= 1.2.0
tightvnc >= 1.2.8

I was inspired to create Kurd based on a lack of a rdesktop front end under KDE. I wanted something similar to tsclient, which is a GTK+ based front end. After much searching for a KDE tool, I discovered KRdesktop by Mattias Douhan. KRdesktop was unfortunately not exactly what I was looking for. I used the appearance of KRdesktop to create the onfiguration dialog of Kurd, so I wish to give credit where it is due.
