kdepopup is a project that allows you to receive and send messages via Samba. more>>
kdepopup is a project that allows you to receive and send messages via Samba.
kdepopup uses smbclient to send SMB messages. Incoming SMB messages will be shown in a seperate window.
You may reply to these messages or save them to a file.
kdepopup is running as a server under KDE and can also issue smbclient -M commands.
This lets you receive, send and reply to these messages.
It relies on a running nmbd (and I think smbd).
Enhancements:
- now with more error recovery and session management

KopyShop is a simple KDE application to copy a sheet of paper. KopyShop project uses a scanner and a printer to do that. The main advantage of KopyShop is that your copy is nearly the same size as the original.

One Idea was that this task should easy for the end user. Technicly it uses the SANE and KPrinter to communicate with the devices. Additionaly it has the feature to save or load image files.

The input and output resolutions are adjustable, as well as the input and output device (last is done bei the KDE printer dialog)

Luau is a decentralized autoupdate framework that provides both software and messages. more>>
Luau is an attempt at breaking up the old-style of software updates - browsing web sites, checking freshmeat.net, subscribing to autoupdate services provided by individual distrbutors, etc. - by providing a decentralized approach to software distribution.

In short, Luau allows individual software developers to simply (very simply) provide an outlet for disseminating updates (both in the form of software upgrades and text messages) to their userbase.

lnkMusic project is a new and cool interface for MPD (Music player daemon, www.musicpd.org ). I created it to make a very powerful and easy to use player, just like cool programs like amarok are. It is written in gambas so u need to install it before using lnkmusic.

It has some nice features like playlist sorting and a nice tray system that lets you control mpd by the tray tooltip without having to open the main window. The tag browser is amarok-like with an integrated search engine.

Try it and enjoy!

3dfile 0.1.9.1

3dfile is an OpenGL-based file browser. more>>
3dfile is a simple file browser, using OpenGL to display files and folders.
The navigation is also very simple: just point-and-click.

You may also experiment your favorite moves on it and see if it responds. It may or it may not.

Anyway, I think 3dfile is very intuitive and easy to use. If you cant handle with it, please read the docs (like the README file) and, better, the sources.

archmage 0.1.9

archmage is an extensible reader/decompiler of files in CHM format(Microsoft HTML help, also known as Compiled HTML). more>>
archmage project is an extensible reader/decompiler of files in CHM f format(Microsoft HTML help, also known as Compiled HTML).
There is three ways to use arCHMage package now:
1) Extract .chm to directory(directory will be created):
archmage < chmfile > < directory >
2) Run as http-server, which will publish chm file contents on specified port.
archmage -p < port > < chmfile >
3) Tune your apache to publish chm file contents if there is trailing slash in request to that file(you will need working mod_python for that):
Add that lines to your httpd.conf:
AddHandler python-program .chm
PythonHandler mod_chm
Restart apache.
Lets suppose, you have file sample.chm in DocumentRoot of your apache. After that tuning you can receive raw chm file, if you point your browser to
http://yourserver/sample.chm
or you can view chm file on the fly if you point your browser to
http://yourserver/sample.chm/ (note trailing slash)
Enhancements:
- The "dump" option was added for dumping HTML data from a CHM file as plain text (using external tools such as lynx or elinks).

mod_bwshare 0.1.9

mod_bwshare 0.1.9

mod_bwshare is a bandwidth throttling and monitoring per client IP address. more>>
mod_bwshare is a bandwidth throttling and monitoring per client IP address.

The mod_bwshare module accepts or rejects HTTP requests from each client IP address based on past downloads by that client IP address.

If the HTTP clients download rate exceeds specified levels, the reponse to the HTTP client is an HTML warning message.

A human browser will see a warning message indicating how long to wait.

Automatic rampant downloaders will download large numbers of useless warning messages.

The original motivation for mod_bwshare was to prevent automatic download of all 900 MBytes of material on one of my web sites which was connected to a 33k modem, which would have taken several days if it had succeeded.

LoFiMo is used to monitor logfiles in real time. more>>
LoFiMo is used to monitor logfiles in real time. The output is presented via a web interface and optionally on the console.
Using the web interface it is possible to monitor log files from a remote machine. LoFiMo can be used to colorize the log entries using filters.
Filters can also be used to reformat log entries, hide log entries or play sounds or execute commands when certain log entries are read.
LoFiMo uses inputs to read log entries from different file formats. It can for instance parse files created by the syslog daemon or the apache web server.
Main features:
- Support for apache style log files
- Support for syslog style log files
- Can process iptables log and reformat it. Can detect most ICMP types and convert them to cleat text.
- For example
- Nov 23 16:53:32 esme kernel: FW_ACCEPT: IN=eth1 OUT=eth0 SRC=x.x.x.x DST=x.x.x.x LEN=84 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=53 ID=12419 PROTO=ICMP TYPE=0 CODE=0 ID=7220 SEQ=7
- can be transformed into:
- Nov 23 16:53:32 esme kernel: FW_ACCEPT: ICMP / eth1->eth0 / x.x.x.x->x.x.x.x / len=84 / tos=0x00 / Echo Reply / ttl=53
- Can process postfix mail entries and output them as single line per mail.
- For example these seven lines
- Nov 23 17:56:01 magrat postfix/smtpd[13644]: connect from mx02.domain.com[x.x.x.x]
- Nov 23 17:56:01 magrat postfix/smtpd[13644]: A297015B603: client=mx02.domain.com[x.x.x.x]
- Nov 23 17:56:01 magrat postfix/cleanup[13648]: A297015B603: message-id=< 002d01c5f04e$c44f16c0$0100a8c0@eva >

- Nov 23 17:56:10 magrat postfix/smtp[13649]: A297015B603: to=< rec@domain.com >, relay=localhost[127.0.0.1], delay=9, status=sent (250 2.6.0 Ok, id=12734-02, from MTA: 250 Ok: queued as 1508615B633)
- Nov 23 17:56:10 magrat postfix/qmgr[2764]: A297015B603: removed
- Nov 23 17:56:32 magrat postfix/smtpd[13644]: disconnect from mx02.domain.com[x.x.x.x]
- can be transformed into a single line:
- 2005-11-23 17:56:10 magrat postfix send@domain.com -> rec@domain.com / mx02.domain.com[x.x.x.x] -> localhost[127.0.0.1] / 9 sec / 170113 bytes / sent (250 2.6.0 Ok, id=12734-02, from MTA: 250 Ok: queued as 1508615B633)
- Can remove unwanted log entries from the output.
- Can set the style for each field of a log entry using css allowing multiple fonts and colours in the same line.
- Can play a sound whenever a log entry matching certain criteria is read (e.g. when mail from a certain sender arrived).
