Free kaddressbook to ipod synchronisation 1.0 software for linux

KAddressBook to iPod Synchronisation lets you synchronise your KAddressBook to your iPod by executing this simple script.

The script makes a few modifications to the addressbook file to make it readable by the iPod.

Amarok recently released the ability to synchonise music to your iPod, so I was finally able to stop using iTunes to transfer my songs. However I was still stuck using the Mac to sync my addressbook.

Well not anymore, after some quick poking around, and a simple script, I am now able to transfer my complete KDE addressbook (including photo), with a simple command line.

Just mount the ipod, and execute the script, passing the ipod’s root directory as a parameter. That’s it! The script loads your KDE addressbook, makes a few simple modifications the iPod requires, and copies it across.

KAddressBook is a comfortable frontend to organize the addresses of your friends, business partners, etc.

KAddressBook allows you to import and export adressbook files, offers a function to search for adresses and - which is the most important feature: it is fully integrated into the K Desktop Enviroment and interacts with other KDE applications like e.g. KMail.

KAddressBook is part of the kdepim package.

RevRatio provides a tool for creating systematic reviews.

Revratio is a software package which assists a researcher in making a systematic review by providing an integrated and efficient user-friendly environment.

The goal was to create a powerful free (as defined by FSF) licenced under the General Public License. The software had to be scalable, portable and modular and created in Java.

RevRatio uses plugins both for searching online databases and for entering manual plugins. This means that just about any database or other reference can be used with RevRatio; if a suitable plugin doesnt exist, anybody with some Java programming skills can create one (see plugin development).

RevRatio was planned with multiuser environments in mind, but due to a very limited timeframe, this feature is not yet fully implemented. The missing features include authorization and synchronization. The multiuser requirement led to a server-client design that was implemented with RMI.

Podsyncr allows you to sync photos and sets on Flickr to an iPod. It currently only works with the 2nd generation iPod Nano.

Podsyncr downloads the photos and stores them into an iPod photo database.

Supported Models

Currently only the iPod Nano 2nd gen. is supported. If you have any other model just send me a small sample Photo Database and I will add support for it.

Usage

Start podsyncr.jar
Authenticate yourself to flickr by clicking on auth and following the instructions
click on sync and wait
copy "~/.podsyncr/Photo Database" to the Photos directory on your ipod
copy "~/.podsyncr/F*.ithmb" to the Photos/Thumbs directory

podsyncr is licensed under the GPL version 2 and includes software developed by Aetrion LLC (flickrj).

Applygain is an Amarok script stolen from amarok_replaygain script.

I only need script to apply replaygain adjustment (using -a or -r) so I can apply replaygain to files in iPod without changing my files in harddisk

iPod Video Encoder is a command line tool for convenient encoding of video files for use on iPod video. iPod Video Encoder project uses the ffmpeg tool for the actual encoding.
It features recursive encoding of all files in a directory, and generating a podcast.xml file for convenient use in iTunes.
It can be used in a cron job that periodically checks directories for new files and encodes them without user intervention.

Enhancements:
- Only uses the -e option for processing directories.
- The default ipod extension is now _ipod.mp4 for Windows compatibility.
- The README file has been extended with information on the .ipod-encoder settings file.
- The program no longer crashes when HOME is not set on Windows.
- --width and --height parameters have been added.

Avi 2 iPOD (mp4) project can batch or single convert your .Avi files to .mp4 so you can watch them on your video iPOD.

The video codec is xvid and audio is aac.
