My Guestbook is an easy to use and install guestbook script. My Guestbook is fully customizeable with a combination of CSS and HTML templates. Visitors can leave you a note along with their name, email address, and location.

This works well for personal Web sites, and is customizable enough for professional sites. It also includes comprehensive spam-fighting features. Euchre 0.7

Euchre 0.7

Euchre project is an Euchre game. more>>
Euchre project is an Euchre game.
Euchre is a spades or bridge-like card game played with four players (3 computer players and 1 human).
The game is played via a GTK+ interface and allows customization of the computer skill level, aggression level, and many of the other game parameters. There are three levels of AI skill (easy, medium, and hard).
The medium and hard levels are good enough to give you a decent challenge.
Enhancements:
- Fixed bug where pass markers are not cleared after an all-pass event (thanks to an unknown euchre lover on sourceforge...)
- Added previous tricks dialog and the view menu items to access it

Neohunt 0.1

Neohunt 0.1

Neohunt is an old multi-player shoot-em-up game. more>>
Neohunt project is an old multi-player shoot-em-up game.

Neohunt is a multi-player search-and-destroy game that takes place in a maze. The object is to shoot your friends before they shoot you, while avoiding being blown up by land mines and your own ammunition and running away from the occasional
stream of lava.

Neohunt is an enhanced version of hunt, one of the user-contributed games from the 4BSD distribution. You may still find versions of it
around here and there.

The original neohunt (not to be confused with the original hunt) was developed on a VAX 11/785 running 4.3BSD in 1989.

The version you see here is a slightly ANSIfied version of the K&R source, hacked up
just enough to run under FreeBSD 4.2. Nonetheless, it serves as a fine example of what a lot of software packages looked like in the 1980s.

Neohunt is not to be taken seriously. It is currently considered abandonware.

PseudoQ 0.9

PseudoQ 0.9

PseudoQ is a Su Doku puzzles on your computer. more>>
PseudoQ is a Su Doku puzzles on your computer.

PseudoQ is a java application for creating, playing and solving Su Doku (a.k.a. number place) puzzles of various types. It features both GUI and command-line operation. The automatic solving of puzzles uses "smart" techniques rather than a brute force search of every possible combination.

PseudoQ was originally intended as an entry for a competition in Linux Format magazine, but due to various factors wasnt ready in time for their deadline. However, it was complete enough that it seemed a shame not to finish it, and maybe raise some money for charity from my efforts.

PseudoQ is freely distributable under an open source license (LGPL). You are free to copy it, install it on as many machines as you like, give copies away to all your friends, etc. If you like it, however, perhaps you would consider making a donation? My job pays well enough that I dont need to make any money selling PseudoQ, so every penny I receive from PseudoQ will go to charity.

cdevour 1.01

cdevour 1.01

cdevour is a set of scripts designed to make CD ripping painless. more>>
cdevour script is designed to make CD ripping painless. Aside from swapping discs, it aims for as little user interaction as possible. Drives are continually polled for discs. Upon finding a disc in a drive, it determines what CD it is, makes sure it has enough disk space, and rips.
Names are retrieved from CDDB and the disc is ejected when finished. CDs that have already been ripped are ejected immediately, and when there is not enough disk space, the script waits until there is.
A separate encoding script encodes files into Ogg Vorbis in the background. Encoded files are tagged and renamed. Another script can move albums into a music directory automatically.
Main features:
- continually polls your cdrom drives for discs
- determines what CD it is
- ejects a CD if it has already been ripped
- rips your cds, making sure it has enough disk space to do so
- monitors disk usage of running rips
- queues discs for ripping when not enough disk space is available
- gets all the information it needs to name your rips later
- ejects when finished with a CD
- applies cheese or peanut butter spread to discs if desired
cdevour also spawns its own separate encoding script which:
- encodes any finished rips into ogg vorbis, one track at a time
- removes raw data when finished with a track to save disk space
- tags the encoded file with artist, album, track number, title
- renames the file (by default, to my personal liking)
- moves encodes of finished albums to an artist/album directory structure

Sashenka 3.3

Sashenka 3.3

Sashenka is aJ2EE Servlet container and framework for IRC bots and clients. more>>
Sashenka is aJ2EE Servlet container and framework for IRC bots and clients.

Much of it is incomplete and it only handles basic incoming and outgoing messages but it is enough to build trivial bots with.

Bots are written as Servlets following the
Sun J2EE servlet model which are loaded by the container.

The container dispatches messages to and through the modules so that they may respond (if they so wish).

You could even build a functional IRC client with the utility classes in sashenka but there are enough of those out there already so I dont recommend that you try.

What sashenka does offer is an object oriented framework for managing IRC traffic. My only use for it is the bot framework built on top of the IRC framework.

The distro comes with the j2ee.jar from the 1.2.1 j2ee sdk. I include this for convenience, if you have the j2eesdk I encourage you to use your own copy as mine may not jive with your runtime.

libjit 0.1.0

libjit 0.1.0

libjit library implements just-in-time compilation functionality. more>>
libjit project is a library that implements just-in-time compilation functionality. Unlike other JITs, this one is designed to be independent of any particular virtual machine bytecode format or language.
Currently, libjit is used as the JIT backend for the DotGNU Portable.NET project (in addition to its default CVM backend). However, the hope is that other Free Software projects can use this library rather than spending large amounts of time writing their own JIT from scratch.
Enhancements:
- This is the first version that is integrated with Portable.NET and it is stable enough to be used elsewhere.

Postfix project is Wietse Venemas mailer that started life as an alternative to the widely-used Sendmail program.

Postfix attempts to be fast, easy to administer, and secure, while at the same time being sendmail compatible enough to not upset existing users. Thus, the outside has a sendmail-ish flavor, but the inside is completely different.

uCIFS is a small but (slowly) growing set of modules that provide NBT and SMB networking support.

uCIFSs goal is to create a small, concise library of C functions that will allow you to create a simple SMB client, or NBT and Browse Service probes. Eventually, there might be enough there to build a lightweight SMB server.

Term::TUI 1.20

Term::TUI 1.20

Term::TUI is a simple tool for building text-based user interfaces. more>>
Term::TUI is a simple tool for building text-based user interfaces.

SYNOPSIS

If TUI_Run is the only routine being used:
use Term::TUI;
$flag=&TUI_Run($command,%desc);

$version=&Term::TUI::TUI_Version;
If other TUI subroutines are used:
use Term::TUI qw(:all);
$flag=&TUI_Run($command,%desc);

&TUI_Out($message);

$flag=&TUI_Script(%desc,$script,$sep);

Many times, Ive wanted to quickly write a nice text-based user interface around a set of perl routines only to end up writing the full (though simple) parser and interface to make it nice enough, and friendly enough, to be usable.

This module creates a simple but powerful text based user interface around perl routines, adding such features as command line history, command line editing, and online help (command completion will also be implemented), while hiding all details of the interface from the programmer.

The interface is described in a simple hash which is passed to the TUI_Run command. This routine exits only when the user has exited the program (returning a flag signalling any special exit conditions).
