Come And Go Encryption 1.02

Come And Go Encryption 1.02

Come And Go Encryption provides an encryption program based off one-time pads. more>>
Come And Go Encryption provides an encryption program based off one-time pads.
Cum And Go Encryption is a very basic program to encrypt or decrypt a program using a variant of the one-time pad. This allows for almost uncrackable encryption.
Why is it still crackable? The program uses one relatively small key to XOR the contents of another file, encrypting it.
A one-time pad uses a very large key (about the same size as the file/data to encrypt) and is completely random. Still, the encryption is good enough to mask the identity of a program or document, or stop someone from accessing that document or program.
The origins of this program were an effort to stop a specific kind of movie and image from being viewed normally.
Installing is a breeze: simply run the program. Put it anywhere you like, it wont matter as long as you put the full path to the program to encrypt/decrypt.
Run the program to see a basic description of its use.
This program works very well in windows but was designed for use in Linux/UNIX. The stdout option allows for decryption to standard output, allowing one to pipe the programs decrypted data to another program.
This could be used to view an encrypted movie without having to write the whole movie to disk; the only problem with this is that on some Operating Systems pipes are slow and inefficient, especially with a high-bitrate movie. Steps will be taken to speed this up in the future.
Enhancements:
- Fix password use so the password is not shown in "encrypted" files
- Use an actual encryption method, and not a cheesy XOR
- Adapt CAG to use modules such as SHA, Crypt, MD5, and others

XML_PullParser 1.3.2 (Namespace)

XML_PullParser 1.3.2 (Namespace)

XML_PullParser moves the API of the PHP XML facility from an event-based model to a token-based model. more>>
XML_PullParser moves the API of the PHP XML facility from an event-based model to a token-based model. Instead of processing data as it is passed from the parser to callbacks, a script using PullParser requests "tokens" from XML_PullParser_getToken() and a number of helper functions.
Tokens are arrays representing XML structures, which become available in the order in which they appear in the document being parsed. Methods are provided both to get tokens and to extract their data.
Enhancements:
- XML_PullParser 1.0.0 (Namespace) has been superceded by releases beginning with 1.3.1 which incorporate namespace support directly into the XML_PullParser package and which in addition contain up-to-date enhancements and fixes.

w3t.org URL Shrinker is a small url generator via right-click. more>>
w3t.org URL Shrinker is a small url generator via right-click. When you want to share a long URL (like on many news articles), just right-click on the page you want to link to and choose "Shorten this URL"; and youll get a super-short URL to use that forwards to the longer one.

The site now includes the ability to use custom URL "tags" like "ff" as in http://w3t.org/?c=ff The next version of the extension should include this new site feature.

Adaptive Contrast Enhancement 0.6.3

Adaptive Contrast Enhancement 0.6.3

Adaptive Contrast Enhancement is a GIMP plugin which can enhance the contrast of images. more>>
Adaptive Contrast Enhancement is a GIMP plugin which can enhance the contrast of images.
The basic "Stretch Contrast" operation takes in the whole image at once, and if there is a white pixel anywhere in the image and a black pixel anywhere in the image, it figures the contrast is already as good as can be. But Adaptive Contrast Enhancement works to increase the contrast locally, and brings out details that most wide-sweeping contrast-enhancements pass over.
Enhancements:
- This is just another development-libgimp-compatibility-thing.
- There is more interesting work going on for the upcoming 0.7, but its not quite ready yet.

Lost Cities 0.1

Lost Cities 0.1

Lost Cities project is an implementation of Reiner Knizias card game of risk management. more>>
Lost Cities project is an implementation of Reiner Knizias card game of risk management.

It supports Internet play and includes a complete set of rules.

Each player is dealt eight cards. Each turn, a player must play a card or discard a card, and then draw. Each card has a color and either a value which is either from 2 to 10, or is a handshake. There are three handshakes per suit, and one of each number card.

Each player has one play pile per suit. Your play piles are shown at the top of the window, and your opponents are at the bottom. You may only play higher-numbered cards on top of lower-numbered cards; handshake cards must go before all numbered cards.

Discard piles are also sorted by suit, but discards may be in any order. Discards are shown in the center of the window. After you have played or discarded, you may draw either from the deck, or from any discard pile.

When the last card is drawn from the deck, the game ends immediately.

Freemed-YiRC 0.99 Beta

Freemed-YiRC 0.99 Beta

Freemed-YiRC is based on Freemed, but for Youth in Residential Care centers (YiRC). more>>
Freemed-YiRC is based on Freemed, but for Youth in Residential Care centers (YiRC).
Freemed-YiRC project runs on a web server, and the client can be ANY computer running a decent web browser with good table support.
FMYiRC is web-based!
- It is loaded on a Linux server at your agency.
- Your data is stored on your server at your agency.
- You own your data.
- All that is required to access FMYiRC is a computer with Internet access and a web browser
- Clients/workstations can use Windows, Linux, MacOS, etc...
- The Mozilla Firefox web browser is highly recommended
- With additional networking setup by your agency, one FMYiRC server can be used by many multiple off-site locations and mobile users.
FMYiRC was designed with security in mind
- Anyone in child care circles will tell you that all types of security are important when it comes to information relating to youth.
- For one, much consideration has to be paid to the HIPAA privacy rule!!!
- Access to FMYiRC can be restricted to the HTTPS protocol. This uses encryption (SSL) to ensure sensitive information is not intercepted by 3rd parties during transit across your network or the Internet.
- A properly configured FMYiRC Linux server will have its own firewall, in addition to the main Internet firewall at your agency.
- FMYiRC itself has a very fine-grade access control system. The administrator can control exactly what individual users have access to.
FMYiRC was designed to be reliable and fault-tolerant
- The entire design of FMYiRC was created by taking into account years of previous information system designs.
FMYiRC is easy to backup.
- There are only two major pieces to FMYiRC to backup:
- The database... very easy to backup with MySQL
- The FMYiRC software itself... contained in one place, very easy to backup using operating system utilities
- FMYiRC includes utilities to back itself up!
FMYiRC can make use of MySQL server real-time replication.
- You can set up two FMYiRC servers for a high level of fault-tolerance.
If one server goes down, users can switch over to the second server in very short order.
- Using a dual-server setup, downtime due to server maintenance or upgrades becomes next to nothing. You can switch your users to the secondary server, take the primary server down, perform the maintenance/upgrades without the pressure of a down server situation, bring it back up, switch the users back to the primary server, then do the same cycle with the secondary server if necessary.
FMYiRC is modular
- If you would like to add functionality to FMYiRC, you can do so by creating new software modules.
- Creating new modules for use with FMYiRC is relatively easy, documentation for this process is available.

simple_scan 2.02

simple_scan 2.02

simple_scan Perl module can scan a set of Web pages for strings present/absent. more>>
simple_scan Perl module can scan a set of Web pages for strings present/absent.

ABSTRACT

App::SimpleScan - Mini-language for website testing

SYNOPSIS

simple_scan [--generate] [--run]
[--define key="value value ..." ] [--override] [--defer]
[--debug]
[--warn]
[--no-agent]
[--autocache]
[--status]
{file file file ...}

USAGE

# Run the tests in the files supplied on the command line.
# --run (or -run; were flexible) is assumed if you give no switches.
% simple_scan file1 file2 file3

# Generate a set of tests and save them, then run them.
% | simple_scan --generate > pipe_scan.t

# Run one simple test
% echo "http://yahoo.com yahoo Y Look for yahoo.com" | simple_scan -run

simple_scan is an extensible "little language" for static web page testing. It allows you to define tests in terms of test specs (which tell simple_scan where to go and what to look for there) and pragmas (which define string substitutions, or alter the way that simple_scan runs its tests).

simple_scan is designed to be easy to use. If you know where your page is (what URL) and can write a basic regular expression to match text on that page, you can use simple_scan.

simple_scan itself is based on a pluggable Perl class; more sophisticated users can install plugins to extend the language itself, or even the command-line options that the simple_scan command accepts.

Low-level access to web pages is done via WWW::Mechanize::Pluggable and Test::WWW::Simple, so its even possible to build new methods to access your data into the language by writing plugins for Mech and simple_scan.

simple_scan is meant to be a simple web testing language, so it doesnt implement any control structures. You declare what tests are to be run, and simple_scan then runs them all, telling you at the end which tests passed and which didnt. It uses TAP (Test Anything Protocol) to report on the tests, meaning that any Test::Harness-based program can read and interpret the output.

Firewall-1 Response 1.0

Firewall-1 Response 1.0

Firewall-1 Response is a Perl script for performing simple active responses based on a Checkpoint Firewall-1. more>>
Firewall-1 Response is a Perl script for performing simple active responses based on a Checkpoint Firewall-1. It is good for closing off your network against people who do port scans or network sweeps.

fw sam provides a command line interface to a limited feature-set of the firewall security policy. The purpose of this is to allow scripts such as this a way to dynamically change the security policy of one or more firewalls without administrator intervention. This should scare you, because of the potential of these changes allowing bad guys to run a DoS attack against you.

Suffix tree implementation library 1.2

Suffix tree implementation library 1.2

Suffix tree implementation library is a C library, an implementation of the suffix trees algorithm to store/retrieve key/data pa more>>
Suffix tree implementation library is a C library, an implementation of the suffix trees algorithm to store/retrieve key/data pairs.
The main advantages are a linear indexing time, little memory usage, and very fast retrieving.
It has been developped on FreeBSD/gcc but should be fairly portable.
The source code "testsfx.c" show an example of how to use the library both for inserting, retrieving, and deleting data. There arent many functions and comments should be enough to give you an idea of how to use the library. (read the header of the source file)
You should edit sfxdisk.h to suit your needs: you can change the alphabet size and the offset type. It should be OK to use "long long" 64 bits ints instead of long, in fact I tested it succesfully but havent gone to the point of filling more than 2 GB of data (needless to say you need a 64 bits filesystem).
Two "tools" come with the library (new with version 1.2): dumpsfx and loadsfx. dumpsfx is used to dump the database: dumpsfx [-s separator] if you want to output the result as readable text or dumpsfx < file.sfx > -h to output it for reloading with loadsfx.
dumpsfx outputs on stdout and loadsfx reads from stdin. loadsfx < suffix tree file to create > < dumped_file
Enhancements:
- removed an useless offset incrementation in STwritenode

ExtUtils::AutoInstall 0.63

ExtUtils::AutoInstall 0.63

ExtUtils::AutoInstall is a Perl module to automatic install of dependencies via CPAN. more>>
ExtUtils::AutoInstall is a Perl module to automatic install of dependencies via CPAN.

SYNOPSIS

In Makefile.PL, with Module::Install available on the authors system:

use inc::Module::Install;

name (Joe-Hacker);
abstract (Perl Interface to Joe Hacker);
author (Joe Hacker );
include (ExtUtils::AutoInstall);

requires (Module0); # mandatory modules
features (
-config => {
make_args => --hello, # option(s) for CPAN::Config
force => 1, # pseudo-option to force install
do_once => 1, # skip previously failed modules
},
Feature1 => [
Module2 => 0.1,
],
Feature2 => [
Module3 => 1.0,
],
);
auto_install();
&WriteAll;

Invoking the resulting Makefile.PL:

% perl Makefile.PL # interactive behaviour
% perl Makefile.PL --defaultdeps # accept default value on prompts
% perl Makefile.PL --checkdeps # check only, no Makefile produced
% perl Makefile.PL --skipdeps # ignores all dependencies
% perl Makefile.PL --testonly # dont write installation targets

Note that the trailing deps of arguments may be omitted, too.

Using --defaultdeps will make Makefile.PL behave similarly to a regular Makefile.PL file with PREREQ_PM dependencies.

One can use environment variables (see "ENVIRONMENT") below to set a default behavior instead of specifying it in the command line for every invocation of Makefile.PL.

Using make (or nmake):

% make [all|test|install] # install dependencies first
% make checkdeps # same as the --checkdeps above
% make installdeps # install dependencies only
