Ch Standard Edition 5.0
Ch is an embeddable C/C++ interpreter for scripting and numerical computing. more>>
Ch is an embeddable C/C++ interpreter for cross-platform scripting, shell programming, 2D/3D plotting, numerical computing, and embedded scripting. C/Ch/C++ allow users to use one language, anywhere and everywhere, for any programming tasks. Ch is the solution for:
- Embedded Scripting
- Enterprise
- Academic
- Plotting and Numerical Computing
C++ is C plus plus minus. Ch is C plus (Ch = C+). Ch is a C interpreter. Ch is C with classes and high-level extensions. Ch is a superset of C. Note that C++ is no longer a superset of C. For example, VLA and IEEE floating-point arithmetic in C are not supported in C++.
C is for low-level system programming and embedded systems; C++ for large-scale projects. Ch is optimal for platform-independent scripting in numerical computing and visualization, rapid application development, Web programming and plotting, embedded scripting, shell programming and integration with legacy systems.
Like C++, Ch is designed to be a superset of C, which means a C program can run in Ch without modification. Unlike C++ which is designed for serious professional programmers (elite), Ch is designed for both novice beginners with no computer experience (average Joe and John) as well as experienced programmers.

Barter 0.2
Barter is an integration of the Bazaar revision control system into Nautilus. more>>
Barter is an integration of the Bazaar revision control system into Nautilus.
Barter is an extension for the Nautilus file-manager. It provides a series of context-menu items and property panels to make management of Arch archives.
One of Barters chief aims is to be as intuitive as is feasible, integrating with the file-manager in a clean and natural fashion. It doesnt attempt to be a complete interface to this notoriously complete versioning system, it just aims to cover the functionality people will be using most often.
Please remember that this is an experimental project in its early stages so it isnt intended for general use yet (although by all means use it and let me know how you find it.) It uses several new and rough technologies, not least the python Extensions API itself. As such it is very much for the bleeding edge, experimenting user.
Main features:
- Context-menu support for add, remove, get, merge, branch, commit, update, new archive and new project
- Automatic generation of changelogs
- Able to forward to mirrors on commit
- Reflection of arch information into RDF for integration with common ontologies such as Dublin Core, FOAF, DOAP and Annotea (to do)
- File, archive and working tree property panels to display metadata (to do)
- Information and metadata reflection into the Frege information store (optional)

mojoPortal 2.2.2.8
mojoPortal project is an Object Oriented web site framework. more>>
mojoPortal project is an Object Oriented web site framework written in C# that runs under ASP.NET on Windows or under mono on GNU/Linux or Mac OS X.
Main features:
- Runs under Windows/IIS or mono/Apache with most GNU/Linux distributions or Mac OS X
- Works with MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL databases
- Host multiple sites on 1 installation and db with host names
- Content Management with support for work flow and approval/publishing process
- Enter content with the FCKeditor HTML WYSIWYG
- Blogs
- Forums
- Image Gallery
- RSS Feed Aggregator
- Event Calendar
- Contact Form
- File Manager - use with caution, provides direct access to the server file system.
- Shared Files module - looks and acts like the File Manager module but stores and manages files in a safe way on the server. Folders are really database items as are the friendly file names. Files are stored securely in a special folder and named using guid strings and a .config extension. This prevents them from being requested or served with a normal http request. Authorized users can download because the module serves them using Response.WriteFile. The module also supports versioning of files.
- User Profile Page
- Member List Page
- Bread Crumbs
- Custom Skinning based on Paul Wilsons MasterPages with support for user selectable skins and individual skins per page
- Dynamic HTML Cross Browser Menu using Scott Mitchells skmMenu
- Localization - all labels and image alt text comes from a configuration file
- Configurable Whether to Encrypt Passwords
- Configurable Whether Registration requires e-mail confirmation
- Configure use of SSL for the whole Site or per Page
- Send Password Feature (when not using encryption)
- Url Re-writing for mapping friendly Urls to site pages
- Site Search with Role based filtering
- Error logging and optional debug logging
mojoPortal is being developed/managed by Joe Audette, MCSD, MCDBA, MCSE, I named it after my dog Mojo.
Enhancements:
- mojoPortal 2.x now works on Mono, so mojoPortal 1.x is being retired.
- New features include multi-site support based on folders or host names.
- The editor provider model has support for both FCKeditor and TinyMCE.
- This release has improved markup semantics and CSS organization.

wmWeatherApp 0.0.3
wmWeatherApp is nothing more than a very simplistic weather dock app. more>>
wmWeatherApp is nothing more than a very simplistic weather dock app. There are several quite nice dockapps for this purpose, however they were all far too bloated for my needs therefore I created a very minimalist one.
This application simply grabs the image of the current weather (using your zipcode which you supply as a parameter to wmWeatherApp) and displays it as the background image of the dockapp.
You can left click on the dockapp and have it launch a web browser (which you can configure by setting the environment variable BROWSER) and show you the weather.
Quick usage instructions:
./configure && make && make install
wmWeatherApp -zip 61832 -delay 300
-zip specifies your zipcode
-delay specifies the update interval in seconds. 300 seconds is what I currently use.
The weather image is pulled from www.wunderground.com (which is the most reliable weather provider I have found). License is GPL.

ExtUtils::AutoInstall 0.63
ExtUtils::AutoInstall is a Perl module to automatic install of dependencies via CPAN. more>>
ExtUtils::AutoInstall is a Perl module to automatic install of dependencies via CPAN.
SYNOPSIS
In Makefile.PL, with Module::Install available on the authors system:
use inc::Module::Install;
name (Joe-Hacker);
abstract (Perl Interface to Joe Hacker);
author (Joe Hacker );
include (ExtUtils::AutoInstall);
requires (Module0); # mandatory modules
features (
-config => {
make_args => --hello, # option(s) for CPAN::Config
force => 1, # pseudo-option to force install
do_once => 1, # skip previously failed modules
},
Feature1 => [
Module2 => 0.1,
],
Feature2 => [
Module3 => 1.0,
],
);
auto_install();
&WriteAll;
Invoking the resulting Makefile.PL:
% perl Makefile.PL # interactive behaviour
% perl Makefile.PL --defaultdeps # accept default value on prompts
% perl Makefile.PL --checkdeps # check only, no Makefile produced
% perl Makefile.PL --skipdeps # ignores all dependencies
% perl Makefile.PL --testonly # dont write installation targets
Note that the trailing deps of arguments may be omitted, too.
Using --defaultdeps will make Makefile.PL behave similarly to a regular Makefile.PL file with PREREQ_PM dependencies.
One can use environment variables (see "ENVIRONMENT") below to set a default behavior instead of specifying it in the command line for every invocation of Makefile.PL.
Using make (or nmake):
% make [all|test|install] # install dependencies first
% make checkdeps # same as the --checkdeps above
% make installdeps # install dependencies only

Tie::Formatted 0.02
Tie::Formatted is a Perl module embed sprintf() formatting in regular print(). more>>
Tie::Formatted is a Perl module embed sprintf() formatting in regular print().
SYNOPSIS
use Tie::Formatted;
print "The value is $format{$number, "%3d"} ",
"(or $format{$number, "%04x"} in hex)n";
print "some numbers: $format{ 12, 492, 1, 8753, "%04d"}n";
This module creates a global read-only hash, %format, for formatting data items with standard sprintf format specifications. Since its a hash, you can interpolate it into strings as well as use it standalone.
The hash should be "accessed" with two or more "keys". The last key is interpreted as a sprintf format for each data item specified in the preceeding arguments. This allows you to format multiple items at once using the same format for each.
Alternate name
If you prefer, you can specify a different name for the magical formatting hash by supplying it as as argument when useing the module:
use Tie::Formatted qw(z);
This makes %z the magic hash instead.
print "This is hex: $z{255, "%04x"}n";
Tie::Formatted currently supports only one format in the final argument; this may change if there is demand for it.

GraphViz::Data::Structure 0.15
GraphViz::Data::Structure can visualise data structures. more>>
GraphViz::Data::Structure can visualise data structures.
SYNOPSIS
use GraphViz::Data::Structure;
my $gvds = GraphViz:Data::Structure->new($data_structure);
print $gvds->graph()->as_png;
This module makes it easy to visualise data structures, even recursive or circular ones.
It is provided as an alternative to GraphViz::Data::Grapher. Differences:
GraphViz::Data::Structure handles structures of arbitrary depth and complexity, automatically following links using a standard graph traversal algorithm.
GraphViz::Data::Grapher creates graphics of indiividual substructures (arrays, scalars, hashes) which keep the substructure type and data together; GraphViz::Data::Structure does this by shape alone.
GraphViz::Data::Structure encapsulates object info (if any) directly into the node being used to represent the class.
GraphViz::Data::Grapher colors its graphs; GraphViz::Data::Structure doesnt by default.
GraphViz::Data:Structure can parse out globs and CODE references (almost as well as the debugger does).

Esound 0.2.38
Esound project is an audio mixing server that allows multiple applications to output sound to the same audio device. more>>
Esound project is an audio mixing server that allows multiple applications to output sound to the same audio device. Development on Esound stopped several years ago, in the hope that someone would write a replacement.
Esound is seriously lacking in features required for a modern desktop environment, particularly for multi-channel audio and audio/video synchronization. However, it is part of the GNOME platform (for a little while longer), so we slavishly continue to maintain it. Please dont laugh at us.
Bugs should be reported at http://bugzilla.gnome.org. Its unlikely that theyll be fixed unless theyre regressions from recent versions or accompanied by patches.
Enhancements:
- Fix 100% CPU problem introduced in 0.2.37 (Joe Marcus Clarke)
- Fix libesddsp not linking against libesd (Loà ̄c Minier)
- Fix file descriptor leaks (Pierre Ossman)
- Fix a build problem with the read/write wrapper (Jean Bréfort)
- chdir to "/" when starting up (Dan Winship)
- Only install the esddsp man page if we build the binary

Test::Tail::Multi is a Perl module to execute code, monitor dynamic file contents.
SYNOPSIS
use Test::Tail::Multi files => [qw(file1 file2)] tests=>2;
# Can add files dynamically as well

# Execute a command and check against output
contents_like {system(my_command -my_args")} # Note no trailing comma!

# if code to execute is undef, check against previously captured new content

# Shorten the delay to 1 second.
delay(1, "Now a 1 second delay");
contents_like(sub {system(fast_command)}, # trailing comma in parens
qr/expected/,
"this command runs faster");
Test::Tail::Multi allows you to create tests or test classes that permit you to monitor the contents of one or more files a la < tail -f > using the nice File::Tail module. You can execute arbitrary code and then run tests versus the new content in the files.
If you choose, you can run multiple tests against the same content by passing undef as the code to be executed; Test::Tail::Multi will then reuse the contents it last extracted.
You can also adjust the delay time to be used to allow the code you called to "settle down" before checking the tails.
Test::Tail::Multi comes in handy for those testing jobs that require you to monitor several files at once to see whats happening in each one.
