JDBC Driver for SQLite is a thin layer on top of the SQLite 3.3.x C API. The native JNI library has SQLite compiled into it so all you need to do is include the two files packaged above in your project.
Usage:
Download the binary for the platform you are developing on. Open the tarball and copy the two files into your application directory:
sqlitejdbc.jar
[lib]sqlitejdbc.[dll, so, jnilib]
Reference the driver in your code:
Class.forName("org.sqlite.JDBC");
Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:sqlite:filename");
// ... use the database ...
conn.close();
And call your program with the drivers JAR file in the classpath and the C library in the librarypath. E.g.
java -cp lib/yourprog.jar:lib/sqlitejdbc.jar

JDBC SQL Profiler is a quickly hacked tool to do statistics on SELECT queries in order to know where it is most efficient to create indexes.

This small tool, released under an Apache-based license connects to the P6Spy JDBC logger and displays in real time the queries going to the database. It uses an integrated SQL parser to build statistics on the most accessed tables and columns and can generate SQL index creation files.

Other information is also gathered and displayed, such as the request time for a single request, for a class of request, and for all the requests. Sorting may be done on these views to detect database problems efficiently.

This tool can be very useful when you have a big volume of queries that you need to analyze not one by one (meaning that the specific time isnt that much of interest), but rather when you want to know what "group" of queries is taking a lot of time, such as queries on the same tables and columns but with different query values. The integrated SQL parser (built with ANTLR) is used to analyze the incoming SELECT queries.

The Swing GUI was based on Apaches Log4J Chainsaw, but all the bugs are mine. Also contributors are welcome to test, make new suggestions, give their opinion and submit patches.

JDBCImporter provides a consistent mechanism for importing data from a file to a database, exporting data from a database to a file, and generating data.
JDBCImporter API can run from the command line using an XML config file or from inside an Ant build script. It works with CSV, fixed data, and XML files and supports numbers, strings, and date/times as database column types.
Custom classes can be used to parse different file formats, format column values into different file formats, translate column values before importing or after exporting, or allocate or release JDBC connections.
Installation:
Below are the installation steps for installing JDBC Importer:
unzip the jdbcimporter.zip file
add jdbcimporter.jar and commons-logging.jar to the CLASSPATH.
For example: set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;INSTALL_DIRlibjdbcimporter.jar;INSTALL_DIRlibcommons-logging.jar

Build
Ant Build
The ant build is a quick build that builds the Schema Crawler jar without compiling and running unit tests. Download ant, and run it from the Schema Crawler directory. The jar file will be created in the _distrib directory. The main targets are all.build and all.clean.
Maven Build
The maven build is a more comprehensive build that runs unit tests, and also creates the project web-site. Download maven, and run it from the Schema Crawler directory. The jar file will be created in the _distrib directory. The main goals are all.build and all.clean.
Eclipse
Schema Crawler consists of two Eclipse projects, dbconnector and schemacrawler. Since schemacrawler depends on dbconnector, you will need to import both projects into Eclipse.
Enhancements:
- Database properties are now retrieved, along with column data types, both system data types, and UDTs.
- A new command, maximum_schema, gives all possible details of the schema, including database system properties.
- Bugs with the merge rows option and with appending output for multiple runs of SchemaCrawler are fixed.
- An SQL exception with the Oracle Database 10g Express Edition driver on outputting views is fixed.

Note that JDatabaseImport *will not* generate the target tables, but only import data from one source into the other.

JDBCPersistence project is an Object Relational Mapping Framework. Designed for use in high volume online banking application the package delivers performance matching of that exhibited by hand written JDBC code.

The differentiating features of JDBCPersistence are a result of the focus placed first and foremost on performance followed by making programmer most effective by building on existing knowledge of SQL, JDBC APIs, IDEs and, at the same time, avoiding creation of dependencies on specific libraries, tools, IDEs.

The framework strikes a good balance in what it provides verses what it requires a programmer to do in order to use it, e.g. a programmer could quickly prototype value objects by specifying them as Java interfaces and asking the framework to provide implementation for these interfaces at runtime, thus allowing to go from specifying an interface to using it in no time.

On the other hand, recognizing that data relationships are governed by business rules much more complex than could be specified in a typical ORM configuration file, a programmer is required to maintain such relationships in code.

The focus of the framework is to provide ORM services while leaving other concerns, in particular, data caching, up to the developer to solve in the context of an application. Being aware that the caching requirements may be different in online vs. batch application, the framework does not prescribe a solution. Developer needs to decide on application specific caching policy and implement it in an architectural layer (DAO) designed to function in both contexts.

The framework does not add any behavior to the classes that comprise the application. Classes supplied by the developer are the classes that will be used by the application when it runs.

JDBCPersistence uses bytecode generation technique to create bytecode for classes that implement logic used for persisting the data. Such, for every, loosely speaking "Java Bean", that requires persistence, a persistor class that implements CRUD operations is created. As opposed to using reflection, the approach of generating bytecode is apt to further optimization by JVM.

JDBCPersistence takes bytecode generation a little further by providing a feature that allows generating complete implementation of a value object specified as an abstract class. Similar to generating full implementation for Java interface class that describes value object class, the framework can generate implementation for all abstract methods of an abstract class representing value object.

As all of the bytecode generation takes place at run time, there is no impact on development or build process. The approach of generating bytecode at runtime is also used by RMI implementation of the Java Platform starting with version 5.0.

The API of the framework builds on the existing JDBC APIs. JDBCPersistences public API adds four classes and three interfaces. As the framework uses SQL for queering the data a curve associated with learning framework specific query language is avoided.

In an attempt to "keep it simple" JDBCPersistence only dependency is ASM, which is used for bytecode generation. The footprint of the package is under 200K.

DBD::JDBC is a Perl module which works in conjunction with a server written in Java to provide a DBI front end to a JDBC driver. The Perl module and Java server may be installed on different machines, as long as socket connections are allowed. The Java server portion is multi-threaded and supports multiple simultaneous connections.

This driver currently supports JDBC drivers which implement the JDBC 1.22 interface. JDBC 2.0-compatible drivers are expected to work, but no JDBC 2.0 functionality is explicitly exposed via DBD::JDBC. The $h->jdbc_func method exposes additional JDBC and driver-specific methods. Only Java methods with primitive or String parameters and return types are currently supported in this way.

The expected use for this module is as a DBI interface to databases with JDBC drivers but no DBI drivers. The implementation of this module was originally done for a non-SQL database in order to take advantage of the existing SQL parser in the databases JDBC driver.

The Java classes provided with this module also allow a Java application or servlet to create a JDBC connection and then execute a Perl script which can use that pre-existing JDBC connection via DBI. This particular functionality was implemented in order to allow Perl customizations to a Java servlet-based application. See the example in the example/ directory.

Virtuoso is at the core a high performance object-relational SQL database. Virtuoso has a built-in web server which can serve dynamic web pages written in Virtuosos web page language as well as PHP, ASP .net and others. This same web server provides SOAP and REST access to Virtuoso stored procedures, supporting a broad set of WS protocols such as WS-Security, WS-Reliable Messaging and others. A BPEL4WS run time is also available as part of Virtuosos SOA suite.
Virtuoso has a built-in WebDAV? repository. This can host static and dynamic web content and optionally provides versioning. The WebDAV? repository is tested to interoperate with WebDAV? clients built into Windows XP, Mac OSX and others and makes Virtuoso a convenient and secure place for keeping ones files on the net. Further, Virtuoso provides automatic metadata extraction and full text searching for supported content types.
Open Virtuoso supports SPARQL embedded into SQL for querying RDF data stored in Virtuosos database. SPARQL benefits from low-level support in the engine itself, such as SPARQL aware type casting rules and a dedicated IRI data type. This is the newest and fastest developing area in Virtuoso.
