Falling is a fast-paced survival game involving a ball falling through wooden planks.

Falling is a survival game where the user controls a small steel ball and tries to roll it through holes in floors which are constantly moving up.

Avoid being crushed between the top of the window and a floor, avoid mechanical sticks of TNT that explode on contact, and avoid magnetic balloons which pull you to the top of the screen.

Collect jewels for extra points. Try to survive as long as possible!

Konversation 1.0.1

Konversation 1.0.1

Konversation is a user friendly Internet Relay Chat client. more>>
Konversation project is a user friendly Internet Relay Chat client.
Enhancements:
- A bug that caused left-to-right text contained in lines determined to be right-to-left text to appear reversed has been fixed.
- Whether a line is treated as right-to-left vs. left-to-right text is now determined by the amount of each type of character in the line, improving the user experience in chats involving bi-directional text considerably.
- The "Edit Network" dialog has been refined for clarity and ease of use.
- A warning dialog to prevent accidentally quitting Konversation has been added.
- The Auto Replace list can now be sorted.
- The /media script command now sports improved player recognition, enhanced and easier configurability, the ability to distinguish between audio and video media as well as newly added support for kdetv. New /audio and /video command aliases have been added to expose these new abilities.
- The lower boundary of the default DCC port range has been raised from 1025 to 1026 to avoid conflicts with the commonly blocked Windows RPC port 1025.
- Dismissing an OSD notification by clicking on it will now also cancel the systray notification flash.
- A new configuration file option [OSD]OSDCheckDesktopLock has been added, allowing to manually disable the screensaver check in non-KDE environments that do not support it, causing the OSD not to be displayed.
- A bug that could lead to the "Switch to" sub-menu in the context menus of tabs not to be updated properly upon switching tabs has been fixed.
- A bug that caused the irc setBack DCOP call not to function has been fixed.
- A bug that caused ampersands in the names of tabs not to be displayed and an immediately following character to be used as keyboard accelerator has been fixed.
- A bug that caused ignoring nicknames with [ or ] characters in them to fail has been fixed.
- Command aliases containing regular expression syntax can no longer cause built-in commands not to function.
- A bug that caused the Konversation irc:// protocol handler not to function has been fixed. Its compatibility with systems that do not use the GNU bash shell as default shell has been improved.
- A notable number of code quality improvements suggested by KDEs automated quality control service EBN have been implemented.

Synonym 0.4.3

Synonym 0.4.3

Synonym that allows a company to easily archive all email messages going in and out. more>>
Synonym that allows a company to easily archive all email messages going in and out. It can copy mail messages, delete, reject or add a text and/or html signature based on a XML based configuration file listing regular expression rules.

An archive containing all the messages that passed through a companys MTA ensures no messages are lost.

Even when using public folders with read-only access, some messages might not contain the public folder address in the recipients list so when a user deletes a message that email might be lost forever.

A searchable archive of all the talks between a company and the client is a very useful tool allowing incident tracking for people that were not directly involved in the email flow.

SipUnit 0.0.6b

SipUnit 0.0.6b

SipUnit provides a class library that allows software developers to create automated unit tests for SIP applications. more>>
SipUnit provides a test environment geared toward unit testing SIP applications. SipUnit project extends the JUnit test framework to incorporate SIP-specific assertions, and it provides a high-level API for performing the SIP operations needed to interact with or invoke a test target.
A test program using the SipUnit API is written in Java and acts as a network element that sends/receives SIP requests and responses. The SipUnit API includes SIP User Agent Client (UAC), User Agent Server (UAS), and basic UAC/UAS Core functionality - the set of processing functions that resides above the SIP transaction and transport layers - for the purpose of interacting with the test target.
SipUnit uses the JAIN-SIP reference implementation as its underlying SIP stack/engine. The primary goal of SipUnit is to abstract the details of SIP messaging/call handling and facilitate free-flowing, sequential test code so that a test target can be exercised quickly and painlessly.
A test program using SipUnit API:
1. Extends SipTestCase
2. Creates SipUnit API objects - SipStack, SipPhone, SipCall, etc.
3. Calls methods on the object(s) to set up and initiate action toward a SIP test target. For example: SipPhone.makeCall("sip:roger@nist.gov", SipResponse.OK, ....) makes a vanilla call to sip:roger@nist.gov and blocks until an OK is received or a timeout occurs. The test target could be any node up to and including the final destination of the INVITE request message.
4. Verifies the results of the action involving the test target using both the SIP-specific assert methods provided by SipUnit and the standard JUnit assert methods. For example: assertHeaderContains(sipCall.getLastReceivedResponse(), "From", "sip:amit@nist.gov"), assertEquals("Unexpected response received", SipResponse.OK, sipCall.getReturnCode()).
Main features:
- A basic set of SIP-specific assert methods - assertHeaderPresent(), assertHeaderContains(), assertBodyPresent(), etc.
- High level API for interacting with a test target.
- Low-level SIP messaging access for interacting with a test target.
- Registration/unregistration and call processing with or without authentication (DIGEST).
- Support for testcase-specified timeouts.
- Support for different routing configurations.
Enhancements:
- Support was added to the SipPhone and SipSession classes for running SipUnit tests from behind a NAT and communicating with a SIP server on the Internet.
- A STUN example test was included.
- An enhancement that allows more flexible multiple SIP stack creation was incorporated.

Quantum Minigolf 1.0.0

Quantum Minigolf 1.0.0

Quantum Minigolf is nearly the same as the game minigolf - except that the ball obeys the laws of quantum mechanics. more>>
Quantum Minigolf is nearly the same as the game minigolf - except that the ball obeys the laws of quantum mechanics.

Such a ball can be at several places at once. It can diffract around obstacles and interfere with itself. Apart from that, the rules are the same: You can play on various tracks involving various obstacles. You hit the ball with a club and try to kick it into a hole on the other side of the track.

The software

To play quantum minigolf, download the game in the download section. It is a GPLed C++ program, which has been tested under Windows and Linux. It features a simple user interface. You can add your own tracks by editing them in any image editing software and saving them in bmp format.

The hardware

There also exists a (virtually) real version of quantum minigolf. It permits to play with a real club and a ball which is projected onto the track by a video projector mounted on a 2m (6ft) high tripod. The club is marked by an infrared LED, and detected by a webcam next to the video projector. An image recognition algorithm in the quantum minigolf software computes the club position and feeds back hits into the simulation.

Opennap NG project is a Napster-like sever based on Opennap. more>>
Opennap NG project is a Napster-like sever based on Opennap.
It offers more security features, bugfixes, WinMX abuse tracking/penalizing, and new features.
Enhancements:
Major bug fixes
- Ghosts are fixed properly. Ticket #5
- The older of the two users is expired, the newer one is resynced across the network as if the user has just logged into the network. No users are killed, easier on the users and the servers.
- Ghost kill timer
- New configuration variable to delay ghosts from logging back in so they do not bounce between servers.
- Server crash when linking a server with an invalid_nick already online. Ticket #3
- A nasty crash involving linking a server with an invalid_nick online has been fixed.
- Tag 10018, server encapsulated, has been fixed. Ticket #27
- Previously it would broadcast to the entire network, now it only sends the data to the server the intended recipient is located on. Incredible bandwidth reduction.
- Memory Usage in all supported OS. Ticket #14, #16
- Memory usage in stats works for Linux, FreeBSD, and Win32 now. Also included are load averages, swapped ram, etc.
Minor bug fixes
- Search on Linux now works perfectly. Ticket #8, #21
- Searching on Linux was globbing the first character of search strings, and some older GCC versions hosed up network searches.
- Debug now compiles/works
- Debug has been broken for a while, its now working again.
- Increased BUFFER_LENGTH to 16k
- Increased buffer length improves memory return on *nix when previously no memory could be returned to the system.
- Backwards Bans have been fixed. Ticket #18
- Some backwards bans were due to matching invalid_nick, the checking is better now.
- Conversion of wasteful types.
- Where it made sense, variable types were changed from int to bool to save ram.
New enhancements
- Extended statistics port
- A new port has been added that gives LOTS of information out for tracking server/network status in a program like Cacti. More on this to come, well soon provide templates and information to set this up yourself, as well as example output.
- Operserv control over log_level
- A new Operserv command, loglevel, allows easy adjustment of log levels, such as "loglevel all -debug", "loglevel +debug", etc.
- Expanded whois information. Ticket #15
- Shows friend, muzzled, and or criminal status. It shows every status of a current user, such as FRIEND MUZZLED.
- Dynamic filters file. Ticket #28
- Adds filter keywords into the filter file if theyre seen >5000 times, same as the server has always done internally, but now the changes are kept.
- Win32 compiled with Visual Studio .net
- Includes all project files, used with the download link on the File Releases page, anyone can recompile the Win32 binary now if they wish.
- Improved autogen.sh. Ticket #19
- Smarter autogen.sh for easier compiling of dev code for FreeBSD users
Current known bugs
- Ghost-synced users sometimes still out of sync. Ticket #30*
- Sometimes lagged users, or users on lagged servers, when they ghost their server hash entry gets mixed. Happens very seldom, perhaps one an hour. Currently worked-around by killing the offending user.
- Other bugs being worked on for 0.49. Current open bugs.

Seismic Unix 4.0

Seismic Unix 4.0

Seismic Unix package is a software environment for seismic processing and seismic and wave-propagation related research. more>>
The CWP/SU Seixmic Un*x (SU) package is a software environment for seismic processing and seismic and wave-propagation related research.
Seismic Unix project is used not only in seismology but in other areas involving time-dependent data, such as Ground Penetrating RADAR.
Installation:
1) read the READMEs before unbundling cwp.su.all.xx.tar.Z
2) dont install as root (the superuser) (It is possible to damage a systems file structure if the install is not done properly.)
3) begin with the compressed tarfile cwp.su.all.xx.tar.Z in /your/root/path
4) set the CWPROOT environment variable to CWPROOT=/your/root/path
5) put /your/root/path/bin on your working shell path
6) uncompress and untar the compressed tarfile via:
zcat cwp.su.all.xx.tar.Z | tar -xvf -
The code will appear as the single directory /your/root/path/src
7) compile codes via:
cd /your/root/path/src
1) edit the file /your/root/path/src/Makefile.config to agree with the needs of your system.
2) type:
make install (to install the basic set of codes)
make xtinstall (to install the X-toolkit applications)
make finstall (to install the Fortran codes)
make mglinstall (to install the Mesa/ Open GL items) (experimental)
make utils (to install libcwputils) (nonessential)
make xminstall (to install the Motif application)(nonessential)
make sfinstall (to install an improved version of SEGDREAD)
or if remaking:
type: make remake (to remake the basic set of codes)
make xtremake (to remake the X-toolkit applications)
make finstall (to install the Fortran codes)
make mglremake (to install the Mesa/ Open GL items)(experimental)
make uremake (to remake libcwputils.a)(nonessential)(nonessential)
make xmremake (to remake the Motif-based applications)(nonessential)
make sfremake (to remake the improved version of SEGDREAD)
You may have to do some hacking along the way, if the codes fail to compile the first time through. In this event, you may simply type "make" in the directory where you were modifying code. If code appears to have been missed, you may need to
use the "remaking" options.
A screen dump of a successfull install of the current version of the codes on a RedHat Linux based PC is located in the file: "install.successfull"
Enhancements:
- This version added functions for converting stiffnesses to velocities, replacing lobes on seismic data with a spike of height scaled by the area of the lobe, and carrying out deconvolution by complex division in the frequency domain.
- There were also many code speedups, cleanups, and bugfixes.

BLITZ 0.1

BLITZ 0.1

Perl utility used in conjunction with the Majordomo mailing list manager to remove bounced addresses from mailing lists. more>>
Perl utility used in conjunction with the Majordomo mailing list manager to remove bounced addresses from mailing lists.

One mistery of the Internet is why it is that any drooling moron can instantly subscribe to every mailing list he hears word of, but cant seem to manage to unsubscribe without posting something to every user on the list, or personally involving the list manager, often soliciting this assistance with abusive and obscene E-mail.

Genuinely solving this problem will probably require an upgrade to the general intellectual calibre of Internet users, and it appears the trend is heading in the opposite direction. BLITZ merely reduces the workload on the poor overworked list manager by providing a cut-and-paste tool that allows blowing away these idiots without invoking a text editor on a series of mailing list files. BLITZ is intended to be used in conjunction with the Majordomo mailing list manager and, like Majordomo, is implemented in Perl. It assumes a Unix-like mail program, with the ability to receive input from a pipe; its probably not worth the effort to try to get BLITZ running on a non-Unix system.

Note that users are actually unsubscribed by sending messages to majordomo (or whatever list manager user name is configured) rather than directly modifying the mailing list files. This automatically protects against race conditions since the list manager contains locks to prevent multiple simultaneous updates to its list files.

As an extra gimmick, entering a user name of "?" lists the number of subscribers to each of the lists being managed.

Another continual irritant in the life of a list manager is bounced messages due to subscribers abandoning E-mail accounts without first unsubscribing. In many cases BLITZ is all you need to purge such addresses, but with the advent of "permanent name" services which forward mail to an arbitrary address, the name on your list may have nothing to do with the name you see on a bounced message. Properly-configured mail transfer agents will furnish you adequate header information to track down the original destination, regardless of forwarding, but "properly-configured" is a term one learns to use parsimoniously in a universe which admits of the existence of Microsoft.

PROBELIST is a Perl script which sends an administrative message to all subscribers of a given list, informing them that they are listed as subscribers and providing instructions how to unsubscribe, should they wish to. The subtext to this is that PROBELIST creates a log directory which enables, for all but the most extremely incompetent mail delivery systems, tracking back bounces to the original subscriber address on your list responsible for them, even in that horror of horrors where somebody subscribes a list address at another site to your list.

PROBELIST is an epiphany of system administration wonkery--youre going to have to read the code and be competent in Perl and things mailwise to use it and interpret the output. But if you find yourself deleting the same enigmatic mail bounces again and again, you may find the intellectual investment worth making.
