LINGOT is a musical instrument tuner. LINGOT is easy to use, accurate, and highly configurable. Originally conceived to tune electric guitars, its configurability gives it a more general character. (Tuning another instruments has not been tested).
It looks like an analogic tuner, with a gauge indicating the relative shift to a certain note --found automatically as the closest note to the estimated frequency--, indicating that note and its frequency.
The note will be found automatically, since the program hasnt any manual function mode (indicating the note to tune manually), for mantaining its general purpose.
We recommend using the tuner in conjunction with a sound mixer for selecting the desired recording source and the signal recording levels.

DGuitar is a Guitar Pro (*.GP4, *.GP3, GTP) viewer, player that works under Linux, Solaris, BSD and any other Operational System that has Java Runtime Environment 1.4 or later installed.

Theres this piece of music notated in tablature that youve seen in the news and you want to see how it sounds. You usually have to modify very ittle of the original file (if it was precise enough) to do that.
Play along with chord changes or a rythm section: just program the chord change / a simple drum sequence / a simple bass line and improvise.
Practise a lick: program the lick, loop it in the sequencer, start at slow tempo and speed up slowly.
Compose a song: you can, with a certain amount of work, obtain a very crude demo of a song that you can show to your friends before rehearshing.
Convert tablature to standard notation using this program plus a commercial notation program, or this mid2tex program thats supposed to hang around somewhere.

GNUitar is a real-time guitar processor.
This is a program for real-time sound effect processing. You can use it to add some distortion to your guitar, or some reverb to your voice.

Tie::UrlEncoder is a Perl module for interpolatably URL-encode strings.

Syntactic sugar for URL-Encoding strings. Tie::UrlEncoder imports a tied hash %urlencode into your package, which delivers a RFC 1738 URL Encoded string of whatever is given to it, for easy embedding of URL-Encoded strings into doublequoted templates.

No longer must you clutter up your CGI program with endless repetitions of line noise code that performs this tricky function. Simply use Tie::UrlEncoder and you instantly get a magic %urlencode hash that gives you an Url Encoded version of the key: $urlencode{$WhatYouWantToEncode} is ready to interpolate in double-quoted literals without messy intermediate variables.
