xSite project is an HTML album generator.
Main features:
- Handles the whole publishing workflow from images to HTML - youre expected to use something else (like digikam) to organize, tag, manage etc. your photos
- Pure, standards-compliant, static xHTML without Javascript or tables
- All image comments are extracted from the actual images (no funny separate text or XML files)
- Efficient method for refreshing albums (subsequent runs only update images where needed)
- Minimalistic requirements: only exiv2 and ImageMagick are required (no MySql, no PHP, no X server even)
Installation and usage:
- Get the scripts: xsite-0.1.tar.gz
- Install the requirements mentioned above (present in most Linux distributions)
- Untar the scripts, read the README and edit xsite for generic changes (album author field etc.)
- Run it as xsite outputdir ~/tmp/MyPictures. The outputdir directory, a new subdirectory called MyPictures within, assorted thumbnails and HTML files will be created for you.
- Check out outputdir/index.html from any browser. Enjoy!
Enhancements:
- Bugfixes to the new RSS generation code.
- The ability to sort RSS feeds by image modification time.
- Minor cleanups.

GContact is a web application wich allows you to manage your address book online. You can add persons with multiples contacts (email, ICQ, phone, MSN, ...) and multiples addresses.

This application can notify next birthdays by email and you can export all yours data by excel.

Mailing-lists can also be managed by this application to send an email to a group of people.

Pwytter is a standalone Twitter GUI client. This application is intended to be multi-platform.

XScanMaster is a program to control intelligent lights using DMX512, based on the fixture library from GrandMA-firmware. The DMX512 output is done using DMX4Linux, which offers support for most common interfaces and many DMX512 lines.

Also included are functions to control fixtures movements in calibrated reference environments. More than one reference setting can be added to any fixture, and any fixture can be selected to run in one of its reference environments or not.

In the environment the user can control the fixture in different coordinate systems. Sceens and cues can be recorded on a fixture:feature base.

Both can be included in other sceens or cues. Playing sceens/cues can be done from one or more "replay units"; each replay unit can run any program at a given speed (beatcounters are included).

KXNeur is a X Neural Switcher front-end for KDE. Its a program like Punto Switcher, but has other functionally and features.

SMSTerm is an application that uses the ICQ2000 protocol to present you a shell on your mobile phone which allows you to interact with your computer from any mobile on a GSM network. It runs a shell on a pty, and allows you to directly send commands to the shell through SMS. Minimal authentication is done over SMS before spawning a shell and offering it to the user on the mobile phone. It is very useful for remote administration tasks, or checking out the status of the network, or just to run some small chores on your system while you are away. It uses Expect.pm in the background. SMSTerm also includes a script to send SMS through the ICQ network from the command line to any GSM mobile, and also includes a PHP script to set up a Web->SMS gateway.
This is a simple perl script to allow all you people out there who cannot live without having a peek at what your box at home has to say, when you are on the move. All you need is a GSM mobile, and an ICQ account. An ICQ account is required because it is used as the
underlying protocol in SMSTerm to transfer/recieve SMSs.
Yoy can use this application to contact systems behind NATs, as the kernel ships with kernel modules to allow ICQ to be masqd reliably. It is a good way to telnet into your system, which maybe behind a firewall, and do some chores, when youre halfway accross the globe
Enhancements:
- included the new vICQ.pm version 1.10: the earlier version had some serious bugs in receiving SMS which prevented SMSTerm from working at all. I released SMSTerm 0.6 in a hurry during my exams so I couldnt test it thoroughly. Apologies to everyone who couldnt get it to work. This time everything is tested and tried, and it works.

- delay modified: the default delay time has been increased from 10s to 20s in SMSTerm. This is because ICQ was giving me RATE_LIMIT errors if i set it too low. Anyone who get a RATE_LIMIT can try bumping it somemore.

TVSpectre reads the TV programme information provided by tvmovie.de. Its GUI resembles that of the free, closed source Windows client TVGhost.

Installation:

- Create the directory "data" unter the installation directory.
- Modify TVSpectre.pm to find these directories.
- If the included Perl skripts should be callable from any directory, add use lib "installation directory"; to the top of them. Include the quotation marks.
