iPuissance 4D - iPuissance 4D is a free multiplayer (local/online) Connect 4 style video game.
The Connect Four game is played with red and yellow counters on a vertical grid of 6x7, closed at the bottom. In turns each player drops a counter of his colour in the column of his choice, until one of them makes a line of 4 counters of his colour, like in Morpion. Easy you think? But its not and if you dont like the classical game rules you can just change them in iPuissance 4D: 10x10 grid, 2 Per Turn, No Fill C...
The Connect 4 grid can be rendered in 3D (three dimensions). The game displays players scores, time left and supports different game rules. You can play locally against a friend without any internet connexion, or you can play online. You can also train yourself by playing against the computer (an artificial intelligence).
Come and play against other players on the net; you can connect to our Beroux.com server and play against some real players for free. The internet players gain points (for the ranking), they can chat together (before and during the game), and you dont even need to register to play on-line. A high score page displays the best players.

screen-scraper 3.0
screen-scraper is a tool for extracting data from Web sites. more>>
- Data Mining and Extraction
- Data Migration
- Application Integration
- Business Intelligence
- Web Task Automation
- Portal Components
- Meta-Searching
- Archiving
The screen-scraper application consists of two primary pieces:
- Workbench: A graphical user interface provides an intuitive approach that allows you to designate pages and specific pieces of information to be extracted.
- Server: After using the workbench to designate the data to be scraped, screen-scraper can be run in a server mode, much like a database. External applications can then connect to screen-scraper, which will pull data off of the designated web sites, then return them to the calling application. For example, you might build a web-based application using Active Server Pages (ASP) or PHP that invokes screen-scraper to search for products found on an external web site in real-time.
Additionally, screen-scraper can be started in a non-graphical mode from the command line such that it can be scheduled or invoked on-demand.
screen-scraper can automate many of the tasks typically required when scraping data from web pages, such as tracking cookies, logging in to web sites, and traversing search results pages.
Depending on the programming languages and platforms you most prefer, screen-scraper is likely to be familiar to you. screen-scraper contains an internal scripting engine that supports:
- VBScript
- JScript
- Perl
- Interpreted Java
- JavaScript
- Python
When invoking screen-scraper externally take your pick from the following languages:
- Java
- PHP
- Anything COM-based (such as Active Server Pages, Visual Basic, and Visual C++)
- .NET (both Microsoft-based and Mono)
- Cold Fusion
Enhancements:
- Several bugfixes and minor features have been added, including automatic backup of the database, enhanced HTML rendering and HTML stripping, fixing an error that caused duplicate scripts to appear at times on import, and fixing multiple errors relating to international character sets and non-ASCII characters.
SINUS Firewall 0.1
SINUS project is a application which assess the potential of security without obscurity. more>>
The SINUS Firewall is a TCP/IP packet filter for the Linux operating system. It is distributed under the GNU General Public Licence and comes with complete source code, as the Linux operating system does.
The SINUS firewall is a free and easy way to protect your network from the malware of the Internet. It does not guarantee perfect security, however it comes with a wealth of features, including:
Filtering of all header fields in the IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, IGMP packets.
Intelligent RIP and FTP support.
Easy to understand, text-based configuration.
Graphical management interface for configuration of several firewalls.
Dynamic rules, including counters and time-outs.
Extensive logging, alerting, and counter intelligence.
Prevention of packet and address spoofing - GNU GPL license.
To install the software, you need a Linux 2.0.x based system. We suggest you install a bare-bone system without X or any of the other nifty features which tend to have security holes. You should not install user accounts on the firewall system. Log-ins other than from the console should be forbidden (if you absolutely have to log in remotely, we strongly suggest you install a copy of ssh).
Although the software has been subject to thorough testing, and has been continuously running without crashes for over 12 months, we are confident someone will eventually unconver A BUG in the software. Therefore, it is version "0.1".
Please do not use this software as the sole means to protect your top secret data. This software is intended for:
People who want to study firewalls
People who dont trust their current firewall
People who currently dont have any protection at all (even if there are serious bugs, it cannot get worse, can it?)
Enhancements:
- NEW FEATURES
- user level authentification between firewall and management interface
- compiles and runs on libc6 (glibc2) systems.
- CHANGES
- management interface now written as Java application (JDK 1.1.6)
- detect land attack
- changed name from sf to sifi (SINUS firewall) due to change of maintainer (now Harald Weidner ).
- BUG FIXES
- TCP RST of established connections now pass through the firewall
- fixed a segfault bug in the passive FTP code

ABSTRACT
This module is a simple neural net learning tool designed for those who have an interest in artificial intelligence but need a "gentle" introduction. This is not intended to replace any of the neural net modules currently available on the CPAN. Instead, the documentation is designed to be easy enough for a beginner to understand.
netAI 0.1
netAI has been developed for identifying the end host applications that are responsible for traffic flows in the network. more>>
Unlike previous solutions that identify the application based on port numbers or packet payload (either through protocol decoding or signatures) netAI computes various payload independent features (e.g. packet length and packet inter-arrival time statistics) for a traffic flow and uses machine learning (ML) techniques.
ML is a discipline of the wider area of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Before netAI can be used to classify a particular application it must be trained on a representative set of traffic flows of that application. netAI can be used offline (reading packet data from tracefiles) and online (live capturing on network interfaces).
Main features:
- Reading packet data from live network interfaces or tracefiles (tcpdump or Endance format)
- Direct creation of WEKA data files (.arff files) from the packet data
- Interim flow information export (while flows are still active), TCP and time-based flow timeouts
- Flexible packet classification and filtering thanks to NetMate
- New features can be easily added and used
- Flexible selection of features to be used for classification
- A large number of machine learning algorithms can be used thanks to WEKA
- Feature extraction and ML based flow classification can be run on different machines - feature extractor supports data export via UDP or TCP
JSothello 2.0.0.0
JSothello is a Javascript/DHTML implementation of the board game Othello, also called Reversi. more>>
JSothello is a Javascript/DHTML implementation of the board game "Othello", also called "Reversi".
Othello is very easy to play. The board is a square grid of any size. The two players pieces are black or white. Each player must place a piece on the board adjacent to one of his opponents pieces so that another of his own pieces is on the other side of his opponents piece(s). In other words, the opponents piece(s) should be "sandwiched" between the players pieces. When that occurs, all such "sandwiched" pieces are changed to the players color.
The game ends when one player cannot make a legal move. The winner is the player with the most pieces on the board.
This version allows the user to play the computer, another human or watch the computer play itself. The computer players have four levels of "intelligence", each with different styles of play:
- "Only took a minute to learn": The computer chooses random (legal) moves.
- "Laughable": The computer picks (one of) the move(s) that will flip the most pieces.
- "Respectable": Plays like "Laughable" but tries to grab the edges and the corners whenever possible while keeping its opponent from being able to grab the edges and corners.
- "Took a lifetime to master": Plays like "Respectable" but adjusts its edge/corner bias as the board fills up, favors moves that flip pieces in more than one direction, tries to prevent moves that will allow the opponent to immediately reverse its gain and places pieces closer to the corners when possible.
