simple instant messaging (sim) is an IRC client specialized for use with bitlbee. It is based on sic (http://suckless.org). It reads commands from standard input and prints all server output to standard output.
simple instant messaging also multiplexes all channel traffic into one output, so you dont have to switch to different channel buffers. sim must be customized by editing its source code to insert the correct username, server, password, and identification information.
Enhancements:
- The command operator was changed.
- Some code simplifications were done.
- The output format was adjusted.

Instant is a Python module that allows for instant inlining of C and C++ code in Python. Instant is a small Python module built on top of SWIG.

Wily::Message is a Perl extension to handle Wily Messages.

A simple object wrapper around Wily messages with a helper function to assist in extracting messages from the wily connection.

X Message Daemon is used to overlay graphical information messages on your X display.

You can choose parameters such as color, font, icon, and duration.

It also has a frontend Perl daemon and client.

Installing:

then edit /usr/local/share/Xmsgd/etc/msgmaild.conf and change the configuration to your preferences.

Yafumato Web Messenger is a Web-based instant messenger client. Users can connect to supported instant messenger services using only a Web browser via HTTP (or HTTPS).
The Yafumato server connects to the messengers by proxy and provides the Web interface to the user, allowing instant messaging from computers where a desktop client cannot be used.
Yafumato Web Messenger is currently alpha software; as such, it has minimal error handling and is not feature complete.
Enhancements:
- The database is now an optional package; users can now login using messenger credentials rather than single sign-on using the database.
- Messenger session handling has been improved; any active messenger sessions are restored upon signin.
- Unstable messenger sessions can be disconnected and replaced using the new "Reset Messenger" link on the status page.

Message::Style is a Perl module to perform stylistic analysis of messages.

This Perl library does an analysis of a RFC2822 format message (typically email messages or Usenet posts) and produces a score that, in the authors opinion, gives a good indication as to whether the poster is a fsckwit, and therefore whether their message should be ignored.

Smarty and MIME message integration is a PHP class library that can send e-mail messages using Smarty templates.

This package can be used to compose and send e-mail messages using Smarty templates.

It wraps around Smarty and MIME message class by Manuel Lemos, and prepares the body and headers of the messages to send.

It can set several message options at once passing an array of options values.

Currently it supports options to define HTML or text message template files, the sender, recipient, bounce and reply names and addresses, whether to send messages in plain text, HTML or both, whether to automatically wrap the message text, message character set, and the bulk precedence header to prevent that notification messages be returned due to temporary delivery errors.

Once the message options are set, the class composes and send message according to the specified option values.

Mail::Message::Field contains one line of a message header.

This implementation follows the guidelines of rfc2822 as close as possible, and may there produce a different output than implementations based on the obsolete rfc822. However, the old output will still be accepted.

These objects each store one header line, and facilitates access routines to the information hidden in it. Also, you may want to have a look at the added methods of a message:
