Kopete Reloading Kits goal is to improve Kopete GUI. Except its cool styling feature, Kopete hasnt visually changed a lot for months...

You can see in the screenshot, the current result of my attempts to refresh the contact list visual aspect.

The aim of that project is to provide to the Kopete users a pack of well made patches that will give them the ability to customize their favorite IM client without having to write a single line of C++.

Everything will be stored as bitmaps, which means everyone will be able to create its own theme, youll only need Gimp and a few minutes of patience...

The screenshot you can see isnt a mockup but what is currently displayed on my computer, Ill try to improve it before releasing a first pack.

NOTICE : As a patch archive, youll have to fully compile kopete source code in order to benefit from these functionalties...

Trinity Rescue Kit or TRK is a 100% free CD bootable Linux distribution aimed specifically at offline operations for Windows and Linux systems such as rescue, repair, password resets and cloning, with the ability to update itself.
It has custom tools to easily recover data such as deleted files, clone Windows installations over the network, perform antivirus sweeps with 2 different antivirus products, reset windows passwords, read AND write on NTFS partitions, edit
partition layout and much much more.
Trinity Rescue Kit 3.1 is the evolved version of 3.0 and a complete rewrite of version 1.1 and the unfinished 2.0. It s mostly based on Mandrake 10.2 (Mandriva 2005) binaries and heavily adapted startup scripts.
What s new since 3.0?
- self update capability: TRK now has a script that will download/search all non-GPL
licensed software, like the Microsoft ntfs
drivers or F-prot. It will also update antivirus definitions for F-prot and Clamav.
Afterwards, it will recreate itself as a new iso
file which you can burn again to CD
- new version of captive-ntfs, using the latest XP SP2 drivers and LUFS
- clamav 0.88-1
- mkisofs, cdrecord, pico, cfdisk
- eject CD (was bug in build 204) and powerdown on halt
What s new since 1.1 (and 2.0):
- more hardware support:
kernel 2.6.14.3 with most default options left on, so all important hardware like
disc controllers and network cards are supported, even SATA disks, USB storage and gigabit ethernet. Also patched with lufs (for ntfs support) and bootsplash (background graphics)
- better network capability: besides all common network client tools, you can also run a secure shell server for remote access or TRK to TRK file copies
- run completely from memory: provided you have at least 192Mb of ram, you can run TRK from memory and eject the CD once it has booted, giving you the ability to mount other CDs
- vesa framebuffer support: TRK now has limited graphical support thanks to kernel
builtin framebuffer support.
- qtparted: the famous PQMagic clone. Partition editing never been this easy thanks to the graphical interface this tool uses (via framebuffer)
- configure your LAN to be "TRK 3 compliant": you can change the way a TRK behaves by adding an otherwise unused parameter to your DHCP server to point to a webserver where you keep specific configuration data for your TRK such as proxy settings or complete scripts with which you can do anything you want
- run scripts from a local computer by searching for /.trk/trklocal.conf
- full NTFS write support thanks to the captive ntfs project by Jan Kratochvil.
- more NTFS write support with the NTFS Fuse driver.
- Secure Shell server: let a user boot from TRK, enter a new password for root and
connect to TRK remotely
Featuring home brewed scripts, new and improved:
- updatetrk (since 3.1): updates TRK with ntfs drivers, F-prot + definitions and
Clamav definitions. When the script is run without arguments, it looks for a Windows pagefile.sys, creates a loopback filesystem on it and creates TRK from there. Afterwards it copies the new isofile to C: emp, from where you can burn it to CD again
- clonexp: script that uses ntfsclone to perform copies of ntfs filesystems between
two computers each running their copy of Trinity Rescue Kit 3.1. One PC copies his Windows installation over the network to another PC running a TRK 3.1 with a secure shell server enabled. An easy way to clone Windows installations or recover as much as you can from a dying disk. Run it either interactively or from a single commandline
- winpass: does the same thing as in TRK 1.1, searches for all local Windows
installations, runs chntpw on your SAM file and resets the password. It now also handles Windows on FAT32 correctly and uses the safe ntfs driver from the Linux kernel, so it works even without captive support
- regedit: is actually the same as winpass, but starts chntpw in interactive mode and allows you to edit a Windows registry
- virusscan: completely rewritten,this script now has two different engines: the default is to run with the GNU Clamav antivirus which is free for everyone. This is a very good scanner, but the drawback is that it can only detect virus infected files, not clean them. So the only option is to delete them, where most of the time the file is the complete virus. But just to be sure we don t delete anything valuable, a quarantined backup is being made first. The other part of the script uses the free-for-home-users F-prot. F-prot itself is not included in TRK but it gets downloaded from their site. F-prot DOES have the ability to disinfect files if necessary.
- ntfsundeleteall: also completely rewritten, ntfsundeleteall, a wrapper for
ntfsundelete now recovers deleted files from an NTFS volume but it gives you the ability to add a recoverability percentage to the commandline. Since it only recovers files and not directories, sometimes you would have double filenames. This has been countered by adding the inode of the file at the beginning of the filename, so recoverability is 100% within the possibilities of ntfsundelete

- ms-sys: This program is used to create Microsoft compatible boot records. It is able to do the same as Microsoft "fdisk /mbr" to a hard disk. It is also able to do the same as Microsoft "sys d:" to a floppy or FAT partition except that it does not copy any system files, only the boot record is written.

- PhotoRec: File and pictures recovery. PhotoRec has been created to recover pictures from digital camera memory and it has been extended to recover lost files from harddisk (List of known files). PhotoRec is safe to use, it will never attempt to write to the drive or memory support you are about to recover from. Recovered files are instead written in the directory from where you are running the PhotoRec program.

Statistical Traffic Analysis Kit is a set of command-line traffic analysis tools, designed to help a network administrator to see what is happening at a router at the moment.

Unlike tcpdump (1), the stak set uses statistical and stream-oriented methods, and will rarely produce an output stream at a speed beyond human perception. The output is less accurate.

The kit consists of five different utilities, designed to perform the following tasks:
estimating overall traffic rates (stakrate),
determining network nodes generating the highest traffic (stakhosts)
monitoring the amount of traffic exchanged with particular autonomous
systems (stakasta),
extracting strings from packets (stakextract),
determining connections and flows generating the highest traffic
(stakstreams, experimental),

GNU MIX Development Kit offers an emulation of MIX and MIXAL. The current version of MDK includes the following applications:
- mixasm A MIXAL compiler, which translates your source files into binary ones, executable by the MIX virtual machine.
- mixvm A MIX virtual machine which is able to run and debug compiled MIXAL programs, using a command line interface with readlines line editting capabilities.
- gmixvm A MIX virtual machine with a GTK+ GUI which allows you running and debugging your MIXAL programs through a nice graphical interface (see screenshots).
- mixguile A Guile interpreter with an embedded MIX virtual machine, manipulable through a library of Scheme functions.
- mixal-mode.el An Emacs major mode for MIXAL source files editing, providing syntax highlighting, documentation lookup and invocation of mixvm within Emacs.
- mixvm.el An elisp program which allows you to run mixvm within an Emacs GUD window, simultaneously viewing your MIXAL source file in another buffer.
Using the GNU MDK tools, youll be able to:
- write, compile and execute MIXAL programs,
- set breakpoints and run your programs step by step,
- set conditional breakpoints (register change, memory change, etc.),
- collect execution timing statistics,
- trace executed instructions,
- inspect and modify the MIX registers, flags and memory contents at any step,
- simulate MIX input-output devices using the standard output and your file system.
In addition, the MIX virtual machine simulators include an embedded Guile interpreter and, therefore, their functionality can be extended using Scheme.
Enhancements:
- The Gmixvm interface has been improved with respect to the external programs dialog and about box.
- Compilation warnings in PPC and 64-bit platforms were fixed.
- Minor bugs were fixed.

Pre Make Kit (PMK) aims to be a BSD alternative to GNU autoconf, GNU libtool, and pkg-config. Pre Make Kit uses data files instead of scripts to limit the spreading of trojans in software packages.
Its designed to be easy to use for users and developers. For better portability and efficiency, all of the components are written in C. Requirements are a POSIX system, a C compiler, a POSIX shell, and a make tool.
Main features:
- Dependency configuration like autoconf (with partial compatibility mode).
- Compiler detection to set shared library flags.
- Architecture and cpu identification (support for x86 32 and 64 bits, IA64 and alpha).
- Internal pkg-config support (faster than calling pkg-config).
- Use a data file instead of a shell script that could hide trojans.

Ink is a command line tool which displays the ink level of your printer. Ink project makes use of libinklevel.

Clearsilver is a fast, powerful, and language-neutral HTML template system. In both static content sites and dynamic HTML applications, ClearSilver CGI Kit provides a separation between presentation code and application logic which makes working with your project easier.
The design of Clearsilver began in 1999, and evolved during its use at onelist.com, egroups.com, and Yahoo! Groups. Today many other projects and websites using it.
High Performance and Language Neutral. Because Clearsilver is written as a C-library, and exported to scripting languages like Python, Perl, Java and Ruby via modules, it is extremely fast. This also means you can work with the same template system independent of the language your project is in.
Pluggable Look and Feel. Clearsilver makes it easy to face lift a site by providing a new set of templates. It is possible to easily run more than one look and feel at once, and share components with a base look and feel to reduce maintenance.
Internationalization Support. Clearsilver makes it trivial to support internationlization. You write your templates in your native language and included tools automatically extract and catalog language strings for translation.
Advanced features. Built in support for advanced features such as gzip compression, smart whitespace stripping, parametric macros, online debugging mode, url and javascript string escaping, and more.
Enhancements:
- Compilation problems were fixed.
- Improvements were made to the Java and Perl wrappers and several functions were added for template expressions.
