Injection 1.0.0

Injection is a simple dependency injection plugin for Rails. more>>
Injection is a simple dependency injection plugin for Rails. Injection allows you to inject ojects into your controllers which have been described in a yaml file (config/objects.yml).

By using constructor injection for controllers, it becomes easy to test the controllers use of such objects using dynamic mocks.

Installation:

$ script/plugin install svn://rubyforge.org//var/svn/injection/tags/injection

libdejector 1.0

libdejector 1.0

Libdejector provides developers give their database queries a great degree of resistance to SQL injection attacks. more>>
Libdejector provides a simple, easy-to-use set of libraries which help Web developers give their database queries a great degree of resistance to SQL injection attacks.

libdejector library currently provides Python bindings to protect PostgreSQL 8.0.3 through 8.0.5.

Installation:

The simplest way to compile this package is:

1. `cd to the directory containing the packages source code and type `./configure to configure the package for your system. If youre using `csh on an old version of System V, you might need to type `sh ./configure instead to prevent `csh from trying to execute `configure itself.

Running `configure takes awhile. While running, it prints some messages telling which features it is checking for.

2. Type `make to compile the package.

3. Optionally, type `make check to run any self-tests that come with the package.

4. Type `make install to install the programs and any data files and documentation.

5. You can remove the program binaries and object files from the source code directory by typing `make clean. To also remove the files that `configure created (so you can compile the package for a different kind of computer), type `make distclean. There is also a `make maintainer-clean target, but that is intended mainly for the packages developers. If you use it, you may have to get all sorts of other programs in order to regenerate files that came with the distribution.

Jesktop 2.0

Jesktop 2.0

Jesktop is a platform-independant Java-based desktop system. more>>
The Jesktop project is a desktop system written in Java that can have GUI applications installed into it. It is semi-dependant upon NanoContainer which is a component framework at Codehaus. NanoContainer and Constructor Dependency Injection are going to change the way we think of Java based component computing.
Jesktop has been under construction since November 2000. Its team was founded by people building Williams Portable Java Environment (PJE) since early 2000.
- To have a fully functional Java desktop environment running on a fully functional Java operating system that is portable across a number of host operating systems, or if there is JDK support in a BIOS layer, without a host operating system.
- To have a single CD installation of Linux (or other Java capable OS) without its own applications, but with NanoContainer, Jesktop and many Java apps pre-configured.
- To see the Jesktop and NanoContainer used widely by Java enthusiasts and deployed on yet to be created Network appliances and palm sized devices (when palm sized devices support J2SE). Thats right, we see this running on small devices. The attraction to hardware manufactureres is obvious - a standard open source OS layer that can support multiple applications safely.
- To see thousands of GPL, MPL, SPL, Commercial etc. etc. apps runnable inside Jesktop. All will be hot installable, reinstallable and de-installable. No reboot/restart necessary. No questions asked.
Main features:
- Multiple GUI applications running inside the same virtual machine.
- Multiple server applications running inside the same virtual machine.
- Drag and drop between applications (to finish)
- Mime type associations for applications (to finish)
- Many built-in, bundled and ported applications.
- Plugable Window Managers.
- Hot installable applications. Hot deinstallable and reinstallable too.
- Externally skinable applications. Apps dont need their own skin logic.

VulnDetector is a project aimed to scan a website and detect various web based security vulnerabilities in the website.

Currently, VulnDetector can detect Cross Site Scripting (XSS) and SQL Injection (SQLI) vulnerabilities on a web based script, but has no easy to use interface. You must edit the script itself to change the settings at the top, and run the program.

VulnDetector is in the experimental stages, with a planned user interface and the debug displays taken out of it.

Libnet 1.1.2.1

Libnet 1.1.2.1

Libnet is a high-level API (toolkit) allowing the application programmer to construct and inject network packets. more>>
Libnet is a high-level API (toolkit) allowing the application programmer to construct and inject network packets. It provides a portable and simplified interface for low-level network packet shaping, handling and injection.

Libnet hides much of the tedium of packet creation from the application programmer such as multiplexing, buffer management, arcane packet header information, byte-ordering, OS-dependent issues, and much more.

Libnet features portable packet creation interfaces at both the IP-layer and link-layer, as well as a host of supplementary and complementary functionality. Using libnet, quick and simple packet assembly applications can be whipped up with little effort.

With a bit more time, more complex programs can be written (Traceroute and Ping were easily rewritten using libnet and libpcap).

Libnet was designed and is primarily maintained by Mike D. Schiffman (mike at infonexus dot com) and a host of other people (please see the libnet documentation for the complete list of contributers).

This is an open-source project. Donations are welcomed.

phpCodeCabinet 0.5

phpCodeCabinet 0.5

phpCodeCabinet provides an extensive, multi-platform code snippet library for any programming language. more>>
phpCodeCabinet provides an extensive, multi-platform code snippet library for any programming language.
phpCodeCabinet allows developers to store code snippets from any language. Features include user-defined categories, syntax highlighting, an extensive search engine, a theme-based interface, user authentication, and code/category ownership privileges.
Enhancements:
- Fixed bug in snippet.php and input.php that stripped slashes from snippet if magic_quotes_gpc was enabled in the php.ini.
- Added another link for "ENTER CODE" in the category bar below the snippet listings. (Just to make it easier to find.)
- Added option in config.php to specify allowable html tags for form fields other than the actual snippet (which allows all html tags by default).
- Modified search.php to include author name/email and language when searching. Now also presents snippet category with search results.
- Fixed bug in category deletion that leaves subcategories and snippets orphaned. Category deletion is now recursive in deleting subcategories and snippets, provided user is either an admin or owns all subordinate items.
- Fixed http script injection vulnerability within several files. Thanks to Yao-Wen (Wayne) Huang for pointing them out.
- Tabs are now preserved within code snippets.
- Added functionality for importing / exportingcategories and snippets. Currently exports in CSV format.

Auditor Security Linux 200605

Auditor Security Linux 200605

The Auditor Security Linux is a live CD based on Knoppix. more>>
The Auditor security collection is a Live-System based on KNOPPIX. With no installation whatsoever, the analysis platform is started directly from the CD-Rom and is fully accessible within minutes.
Independent of the hardware in use, the Auditor security collection offers a standardised working environment, so that the build-up of know-how and remote support is made easier. Even during the planning and development stages, our target was to achieve an excellent user-friendliness combined with an optimal toolset.
Professional open-source programs offer you a complete toolset to analyse your safety, byte for byte. In order to become quickly proficient within the Auditor security collection, the menu structure is supported by recognised phases of a security check. (Foot-printing, analysis, scanning, wireless, brute-forcing, cracking).
By this means, you instinctively find the right tool for the appropriate task. In addition to the approx. 300 tools, the Auditor security collection contains further background information regarding the standard configuration and passwords, as well as word lists from many different areas and languages with approx. 64 million entries.
Current productivity tools such as web browser, editors and graphic tools allow you to create or edit texts and pictures for reports, directly within the Auditor security platform. Many tools were adapted, newly developed or converted from other system platforms, in order to make as many current auditing tools available as possible on one CD-ROM.
Tools like Wellenreiter and Kismet were equipped with an automatic hardware identification, thus avoiding irritating and annoying configuration of the wireless cards.
