Technorati Tracker 1.1

Technorati Tracker 1.1

Technorati Tracker examines the traffic your blog is receiving from Technorati. more>>
Technorati Tracker examines the traffic your blog is receiving from Technorati.
This open source web analytics software will examine an Apache web server log and will display hits generated by clicks from technorati.com and will also track the visits by Technoratibot.
Output:
Each hit from Technorati will be displayed in a row with these columns:
- Time
- IP Address
- Section (Tags, Search, Blog Finder, Popular)
- Keywords
At the bottom of the page, a bar chart will be displayed comparing the number of hits from each section on Technorati. Technoratibot visits are in bold and indicated by a section label of Technoratibot.
Instructions:
- Download the script to your machine.
- Edit the line that reads:
LOG_FILE="/var/log/httpd/access_log"
so the CGI script will know where your Apache web server log file resides. Upload technorati_tracker.cgi to a directory on your web server where you can run CGI scripts. Change permissions to make the file executable (chmod +x or chmod 755).
Enhancements:
- Technorati launched a new section called Explore that displays recent blog posts based on category tags.
- This release has been updated to track hits from the new section.

Trip Tracker 0.8.1

Trip Tracker 0.8.1

Trip Tracker is a position tracking client-server system. more>>
Trip Tracker is a position tracking client-server system. Trip Tracker is designed to assist people in setting up a real-time tracking environment with either a private or public tracking server.
The Trip Tracker GPS client sends coordinates to the tracking server to update its position. In the event that the GPS client loses its Internet connection, it can send all collected coordinates to the tracking server as soon as its back online.
The tracking server saves all the coordinates and can forward them to listening map clients.
Version restrictions:
- The map client can only display a map of Norway, as the WMS server is hardcoded in the server-side PHP script "mapservice.php". This may change in the future. If you know any good WMS servers we might add it to the server-side script, but you still need to add the proper WMS layers in the source code to make it work.
- The GPS client version 0.8 does not set up the Java Communications library properly so it most likely wont find your GPS receiver. We hope to address this issue in the next release quite soon.
- And more...

Network Tracker 0.5

Network Tracker 0.5

Network Tracker is a user (MAC) tracker daemon, for big LANs (campus). more>>
Network Tracker application is a user (MAC) tracker daemon, for big LANs (campus).
The Network Trackerd builds a table which records which user is connected on which port of a switch by scanning the devices with SNMP in your inventory which is in a MySQL database. Trackerd keeps that table up-to-date by scanning the network regularly.
Thus, you will have the opportunity to know exactly where a user (MAC, IP, UID) is connected on your network !
Your devices are also checked with ping and SNMP, and you are informed with e-mail when any of the devices is not alive.
More over, you may produce various reports about your network infrastructure on the web (cgi) or by using other tools.
Network tracker eases especially to find and shutdown the switch port of the users, when their PCs on the network start to spread viruses or warms using lots of bandwith; so you are able to stop that kind harmfull traffic on the network.
Main features:
- Collects all the MAC addresses and port numbers from CAM tables of the switches.
- Finds IP addresses of the MACs from ARP tables of the routers.
- Finds LDAP uid of the user.
- Check devices on the network with both ping and SNMP for better reliability.
- The daemon sends 2 self check e-mail per day.
- Developped with C.
Enhancements:
- trackerd is now multi-threaded and works very quickly because a new thread is created for each network device.
- MAC tracking code has been reimplemented for multi-threaded use.
- Wireless access point support has been added.
- gnuplot graphics are prepared, showing the active number of users like MRTG graphs.
- tracker now accepts MAC addresses in free format.

tektracker 0.7.0

tektracker 0.7.0

ttrk (tektracker) is a console MIDI sequencer with a tracker-style step editor. more>>
ttrk (tektracker) is a console MIDI sequencer with a tracker-style step editor.I was annoyed by the bad step editors found on pretty much all MIDI sequencers I could find, and since I was big fan of the tracker interface, I used the user interface ideas behind a tracker in my design.
There are five main goals for creating ttrk:
1. Tracker-style step editor, think ScreamTracker3.
2. Pattern based sequencer per track, more like Sonic Foundrys ACID.
3. Big, accessable track mute buttons, think Alesis MMT8.
4. Realtime editing, never need to push stop.
5. All functions directly accessable from the keyboard for rapid editing.
Main features:
- Tracker-style step editor.
- 256 channels, each with 256 patterns.
- Songs up to 4096 patterns long.
- Pattern copy and paste.
- Sync to external MIDI.
- Sends MIDI sync.
- Convenient channel mute buttons for live play.

Asset Tracker 0.5.06

Asset Tracker 0.5.06

Asset Tracker provides an inventory management system. more>>
Asset Tracker provides an inventory management system.
Asset Tracker is an inventory management system that allows flexibility in choosing column names and types and contains a plugin system, an access control system, filtering and sorting in the list view, and bookmarkable pages and views.
Main features:
- Suitable for tracking any kind of physical object.
You can create multiple asset databases containing any information you wish to keep track of. Some examples: put all your IT infrastructure into the database, or if you are a building manager, put all your facilities equipment in the database.
- Designed with flexibility in mind.
This means that you can add or remove any columns from the database at any time. Each column can have whatever name youd like to give it. Currently, columns can contain numbers, dates, free-form text, or drop-down lists (to be used if there are a range of valid items that could go into that field).
- Contains a plugin system
This allows you to add any custom functionality that youd like. A plugin is included with the default distribution to enable a connection with RT2 and RT3 databases (I have verified that it works with RT3, but have not updated the documentation to reflect this yet). RT is Request Tracker, an incident management and response system available from http://www.bestpractical.com/rt/. If you have created a plugin youd like to share with everyone, please email me at assettracker@yoderhome.com so I can upload your plugin to the sourceforge download area.
- Contains an access control system
This allows you to decide who can view, add, modify, and delete items from any of the tables. The access control system is administered from within Asset Tracker.
- Comprehensive filters and sorting in the list view
This allows you to choose only to see the data you want to see. For example, a facilities manager might want to see items that were installed 1 year ago, and whose expected lifetime is 365 days. This is easy to manage with the filtering interface. It becomes particularly powerful when coupled with external database connections such as RT2 (see above). If a particular asset keeps generating repair orders within RT2, there will be a high number of RT2 links associated with the asset; this can easily be identified using the sorting and filtering interface.
- All asset list views are bookmarkable
If you create a view with a particular sort order and filters, you can bookmark the search and return to it easily (of course, if the contents of the database change, the view will reflect the updated database). In fact, all operations within Asset Tracker are handled this way, so you can easily bring up any previous page or view.

Bluetail Ticket Tracker 4.0.2

Bluetail Ticket Tracker 4.0.2

Bluetail Ticket Tracker is a workflow management tool. more>>
The Bluetail Ticket Tracker (BTT) is a system for creating, storing and keeping track of tickets. A ticket describes an issue of some sort.

It can, for example, be a Trouble Report or a ToDo note. It is available for use (and distribution) under the GNU Public License.

The users of BTT are divided in four different user categories: Staff, Friend, Customer and Anonymous. The access to the data stored in BTT can be tailored for the Friend, Customer and Anonymous groups, while the Staff group has full access rights. This (hopefully) allows BTT to be used both for Open Source Projects as well as in more commercial settings.

In an Open Source Project:

* one or several people (Staff) hosts a site which runs the Ticket handling for a certain application
* a number of people (Staff + Friends) collaborates in the development which also include Ticket handling
* anyone else interested (Customer or Anonymous) may want to check the status of the Tickets (e.g Trouble Reports)

In a commercial setting:

* a company (Staff) runs the Ticket tracker as an aid in their product development.
* the company may be spread geographically or may have development partners (Friends)
* the customers can report problems and track the progression (Customer)

A ticket consists of a number of fields, e.g denoting a release name, component name, responsible person, staus, priority, etc. The actual field values is defined by the Staff when the Bluetail Ticket Tracker is setup. The daily operation of BTT includes creation, editing, searching and viewing of tickets.

The users can also activate the mail alert function which will send a mail to the user when, for example, a new ticket as been assigned to the user.

BTT can also store information about customers which can be useful in a support desk scenario. This makes it possible to connect a ticket with a particular customer. It is also helpful in a support desk scenario where the support engineer quickly need to find information about a customer.

BTT can also store more general information. This Knowledge Base consists of a mail store and a information store.

The mail store makes it possible to retrieve mails (from a POP3 account) and store it locally in a BTT directory. Stored mails can then be searched, viewed and turned into tickets.

The information store is divided in two parts, one external (for users/customers) and one internal (for staff/friends). The external area can for example be used for creating a FAQ (Frequently Asked Question), a HOWTO area. The internal knowledge base is intended for the Staff and/or Friends, and may for example store information such as address lists, how to fill in the expenses form, or contain description of the work process, etc.

Currently BTT supports English, French, German, Spanish and Galician. Adding new languages is easy, one language definition file has to be created with a translation of all text that can be displayed. (If you do this, make sure to send the new language file to the maintainers so that it can be incorporated into the standard release).

Tickets can also be retrieved and stored via a Unix command line interface.
