Hell World is a thrilling FPS adventure game which features excellent graphics, a dark atmosphere and an excellent scenario. Hell World game is designed to be a port of the Windows-only version of Hell World.
It is written using the openGL and SDL library and is developing for the last months by ironhell3.
The game starts from main.c There we call first two functions, sdl_init() and game_init() to initialise the sdl and game part of the game.After the succesfull initialisation of Hell World we loop in a while() function.Each frame we check the keyboard and mouse for events through keyhandler() and then render the game frames through loop().When we catch a done=true signal we quit the game.
Important:
1)We are in need of developers,musicians,artists etc to help develop this game
2)This game is released under the GPL license.Please READ the COPYING file for more info
Enhancements:
- Fixed movement
- Added fog
- Added crates
- Redesign of level 1 including texture changes

Tile World 1.2.2
Tile World is an emulator of Chips Challenge. more>>
Tile World is an emulation of the game "Chips Challenge". "Chips Challenge" was originally written for the Atari Lynx by Chuck Sommerville, and was later ported to MS Windows by Microsoft (among other ports).
Please note: Tile World is an emulation of the game engine(s) only. It does not come with the chips.dat file that contains the original level set. This file is copyrighted and cannot be freely distributed. The chips.dat file was originally part of the MS version of "Chips Challenge". If you have a copy of this version of the game, you can use that file to play the game in Tile World. If you do not have a copy of this file, however, you can still play Tile World with the many freely available level sets created by fans of the original game, including CCLP2.
"Chips Challenge" is a game made up of both intellectually engaging puzzles and situations demanding fast reflexes. As you might have guessed, it is a tile-based game. The object of each level is simply to get out -- i.e., to find and achieve the exit tile. This simple task, however, can sometimes be extremely challenging.

The Mana World (TMW) is a serious effort to create an innovative free and open source MMORPG. TMW uses 2D graphics and aims to create a large and diverse interactive world. The Mana World project is licensed under the GPL, making sure this game cant ever run away from you.
The project includes the development of both a client and a server, as well as the development of an online world. At the moment were making alpha releases of the client, while our server is in early development.
The eAthena free software Ragnarok Online server is used until our own server has matured enough to replace it. Once ready, well be making releases of our server too so anybody will be free to set up their own server and start building their own online world.

Car World 0.243
CarWorld is a small driving simulator/demo I use to test various things of interest. more>>
CarWorld is a small driving simulator/demo I use to test various things of interest. It was mostly developed when I was a student. Car World is released with the full source code under the GNU General Public License.
The rendering
The two top pictures represent an slightly older version (v0.072) but graphically similar of CarWorld as it was presented for my project. v0.072 includes an OpenGL based renderer allowing
file input and displaying of texture mapped models with interpolated surface normals, real time projected shadows (as seen in the dino lights example).
background object
on screen command line to modify visual and simulation parameters
The mechanics
based on classical mechanics
uses standard metrics (Newtons, meters, seconds...)
there are no constraints on the environment surface
variable length time increments and variable increment number means "CarWorld time" is not dependent on frame rate.
adjustable simulation specs include: metrics, mass, moment of inertia around rotation axis, suspension pre load, compression damping, rebound damping, engine torque output, air friction, surface friction.

Image::WorldMap 0.14
Image::WorldMap is a Perl module to create graphical world maps of data. more>>
Image::WorldMap is a Perl module to create graphical world maps of data.
SYNOPSIS
use Image::WorldMap;
my $map = Image::WorldMap->new("earth-small.png", "maian/8");
$map->add(4.91, 52.35, "Amsterdam.pm");
$map->add(-2.355399, 51.3828, "Bath.pm");
$map->add(-0.093999, 51.3627, "Croydon.pm");
$map->draw("test.png");
This module helps create graphical world maps of data, such as the Perl Monger World Map (http://www.astray.com/Bath.pm/). This module takes in a number of label locations (longitude/latitude) and outputs an image. It can attach text to the labels, and tries to make sure that labels do not overlap.
It is intended to be used to create images of information such as "where are all the Perl Monger groups?", "where in the world are all the CPAN mirrors?" and so on.
This module comes with a low-resolution image of the world. Additional larger images have not been bundled with the module due to their size, but are available at: http://www.astray.com/WorldMap/

The Circle 0.41c
The Circle is an open source scalable decentralized peer to peer application. more>>
The Circle is an open source scalable decentralized peer to peer application. What does that mean? Well, theres no central authority running the show. No entry taxes either, no censorship, and (in theory) no weak point which can break the whole system.
No one even owns the source code. As long as there is one Circle peer running, anywhere in the world, theres still a network.
Main features:
- Share files
- Send instant messages and chat IRC-style
- Put together your own personalized, trust based news service
- Proxy Debian package downloads
The Circle is written in Python. It runs on Linux and Windows. (in fact, there is very little operating system specific code, so it will most likely work on any system that supports Python)
Scalability
At the core of the Circle is a decentralized hashtable, or "Chord". This table allows users to search for files in logarithmic time, based on keywords. This means that the Circle does not have the scalability problems of Gnutella style network (such as Kazaa, eDonkey), while also avoiding the need for a central server and therefore a single point of failure. Details of its operation are given in the "Technical Details" section below.
Privacy
The Circle does have the ability to post fully anonymous news a la Freenet. However, the file-sharing protocol isnt entirely anonymous. People will be able to work out your IP address.
In order to protect user privacy, the Circle includes a Digital Rights Management system. Although everybody can search your files by their keywords, you may choose which users are authorized to download them. An unauthorized third party has access only to the names of your files, not to their content. Needless to say, we expect you to use this system in order to prevent copyright infringement, while allowing private copy.
Note: If we become aware that you are trying to share snuff or child pornography, we will be able to work out your IP and from that your location and identity, and report you to the police and/or your ISP. Snuff and child pornography are things we think any reasonable person considers to be evil (its an issue quite separate from the debate over copyright).

Windstille 0.3.0
Windstille is a classic jump and shoot action game. more>>
Windstille project is a classic jump and shoot action game.
Windstille is an old-school 2D site-scrolling shootem up game, similar to Turrican or Metroid with some influence from Another World and Flashback.
In Windstille the player will be placed in a foreign alien world and has to find its way back into safety. Special focus will be on getting the foreign world and the players character itself believable.
Exploration will be more needed than plain shoot action, even so the players-character will be equipped with a multifunctional war-suit, so he will be far from defenseless.
The game will have slow placed explore and seak sequences as well as more rough section that will feature fast shoot and jump action. The game world should be presented in a consistent state, enemies once destroyed should not respawn automatically.
The player is free to go forward and backward in the world as long as the level design allows it.
Enhancements:
- 3D sprites, giving fluent animation and the ability to zoom in without pixelation in the characters
- multi color light effects for added athmospheric effect as well as new gameplay posibilities
- flexible particle systems for fire, water smoke and such
- dynamic 2D water
- Squirrel based scripting
- console to enter script commands
- simple dialog system
- cutscene support
- menu system for easy access to all the parts and features of the game

Apache Hello World Benchmarks 1.04
Apache Hello World Benchmarks is a tool that generates benchmarks of Apache Web frameworks. more>>
Apache Hello World Benchmarks is a benchmarking tool that seeks to give a sense of Web application execution speed on various software platforms running under the Apache Web server.
Benchmarks can vary greatly from system to system, so this tool allows one to get numbers on ones own platform. Applications tested include mod_perl, mod_php, Tomcat, and Apache::ASP, with over 62 benchmarks in all.
Benchmark Descriptions:
Hello World 2000 ( 2000 )
The 2000 benchmark tries to emulate a heavy web page template. It is typically 3K+ in program length that results in output of over 20K. While this does not properly reflect any web applications speed of back end business logic execution, it does show a template heavy request with some application logic and loops, some HTTP parameter passing, and much variable interpolation in the output stream.
Hello World ( hello )
The Hello World benchmark merely prints "Hello World" and as such is a good test for the fastest a web page could ever run under the given web application environment. For historical reasons, the benchmarks are written to print "Hello" and then add to the output World as a raw string.
HelloDB ( hellodb )
The HelloDB benchmark merely queries the database for the string "Hello World", and as such represents the fastest a web application can process a request when talking to a database. This is a new benchmark with only MySQL supported for now, but more environments and databases will be added over time.
XSLT Big ( xsltbig )
This benchmark hits an XSLT rendering engine hard with 18K+ XML being transformed with a 1K+ XSL stylesheet for over 20K output. Though XSLT is generally slow, many applications will use XSLT caching to speed up response times. This benchmark should emulate well a real world XSLT usage scenario, with perhaps the XSL itself being too trivial.
Hello XSLT ( xslt )
Like the Hello World benchmark, the XSLT version just outputs "Hello World", or the closest we can get when doing XSLT, so it too demonstrates the fastest an application can render a page with XSLT. Benchmarks should be similarly configured between xsltbig and xslt, so a slow caching layer that benefits the former might slow down this benchmark.
