SEOlizer is a GPL application that generates web pages of analysis, from webserver log files (Apache, etc). more>>
SEOlizer is a GPL application that generates web pages of analysis, from webserver log files (Apache, etc). The seolizer is based on the webalizer code.
Please note that the code is one-night hack, from my point of view its a very very poor quality! It is not recommended to run seolizer on a production server. I have published the seolizer to get some feedback from SEO community. Stable version will be available in several months, after I make clear decision how to implement all required features. Your feedback is appreciated !
Compile seolizer by running make all -C src. Then you can run it using ./seolizer [logfile]. Output will be placed in the current directory.
SEOlizer functions
Web spiders daily/monthly crawling reports (incl. bots IP addresses)
Keyword and phrase analysis, displays pages that matched query
Most popular pages for search engine query results and relevant keywords and phrases
Fully static HTML
About SEO
Search engine optimization (SEO) as a subset of search engine marketing seeks to improve the number and quality of visitors to a web site from "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. The quality of visitor traffic can be measured by how often a visitor using a specific keyword leads to a desired conversion action, such as making a purchase or requesting further information. In effect, SEO is marketing by appealing first to machine algorithms to increase search engine relevance and secondly to human visitors.
Enhancements:
- Pagerank support was added along with support for www.rankcheck.info.
- The code was cleaned up and better HTML was implemented.

News Script 1.1

News Script 1.1

News Script allows you to write articles for your website. more>>
News Script allows you to write articles for your website. News Script features a WYSIWYG editor which makes writing an article easy and it supports search engine friendly URLs.
Main features:
- Write, edit and delete text articles
- Use the built-in WYSIWYG editor for formatting
- Create search engine friendly URLs
- List and search in existing articles
- Completely template driven
- Installation routine
How the script works
As the admin you can write new articles and list, edit, delete and search in existing ones.
News script features a WYSIWYG editor that gives you full control over the format of an article. JavaScript is required, though. The script allows you to choose an article date and the date when the article is to be published.
The title of an article appears as part of the URL which is good for search engine optimization. In case your server supports mod_rewrite the article URL looks like a normal URL of an HTML page.
On the front end the visitor will be provided with a list of published articles. As admin you can set the number of articles per page which results in several result pages which can be browsed by the visitor.

Finnix 89.2

Finnix 89.2

Finnix is a self-contained, bootable Linux CD distribution. more>>
Finnix is a self-contained, bootable Linux CD distribution ("LiveCD") for system administrators, based on Debian testing "etch".
You can mount and manipulate hard drives and partitions, monitor networks, rebuild boot records, install other operating systems, and much more.
Finnix includes the latest technology for system administrators, with Linux kernel 2.6, LVM2, encrypted partitions, etc. And above all, Finnix is small; currently the entire distribution is over 300MB, but is dynamically compressed into a 105MB bootable image.
Finnix is not intended for the average desktop user, and does not include any desktops, productivity tools, or sound support, in order to keep distribution size low.
Finnix is freely distributable under the terms of the GNU General Public License.
Main features:
- Finnix is based on Debian "testing"; Knoppix is based on Debian "unstable" and several other repositories.
- Finnix is available as a 105MB ISO; Knoppix is available as a 700MB or 3.5GB ISO (CD/DVD editions).
- Knoppix includes XFree86 and many, many desktop and productivity tools and games; Finnix does not.
- Finnix includes utilities not found in Knoppx, such as LVM2, cryptsetup, cdpr, iftop, irssi, reiser4progs, an OTP calculator, VLAN tools, and the essential robotfindskitten.
- Finnix includes a different Linux kernel than Knoppix; as of this writing, 2.6.13.3 versus 2.6.12, respectively.
- Finnix uses an almost completely reworked initrd, a compressed ROM filesystem with BusyBox; Knoppixs initrd uses a compressed ext2 filesystem with statically compiled tools.
- Knoppix can be installed on a hard drive or use floppies/USB keys for storing personal data; Finnix cannot.
- Finnix can be copied to RAM and run in only 256MB; Knoppix requires at least 1GB.
- Knoppix is available in several languages and has an impressive array of internationalization tools; Finnix is English only.

libtiff 4.0.0 Alpha

libtiff 4.0.0 Alpha

libtiff project provides support for the Tag Image File Format (TIFF), a widely used format for storing image data. more>>
libtiff project provides support for the Tag Image File Format (TIFF), a widely used format for storing image data. The latest version of the TIFF specification is available on-line in several different formats.
Included in this software distribution is a library, libtiff, for reading and writing TIFF, a small collection of tools for doing simple manipulations of TIFF images, and documentation on the library and tools. Libtiff is a portable software, it was built and tested on various systems: UNIX flavors (Linux, BSD, Solaris, MacOS X), Windows, OpenVMS. It should be possible to port libtiff and additional tools on other OSes.
The library, along with associated tool programs, should handle most of your needs for reading and writing TIFF images on 32- and 64-bit machines. This software can also be used on older 16-bit systems though it may require some effort and you may need to leave out some of the compression support.
The software was originally authored and maintained by Sam Leffler. While he keeps a fatherly eye on the mailing list, he is no longer responsible for day to day maintenance.
Enhancements:
- The BigTIFF specification is now supported, allowing the creation of files larger than 4GiB.
- Despite this large upgrade, the library remains almost completely source compatible with the previous releases and in most cases you just need to recompile your application with new library to get read support for BigTIFF.

SBCLinks 0.5

SBCLinks 0.5

SBC is a collection of scripts consisting in several PHP scripts for webpages. more>>
SBC is a collection of scripts consisting in several PHP scripts for webpages that have the following objetives in common:
- Easy to use and install.
- Fully customizable.
- Commented code in order newbies to learn some PHP.
- XHTML 1.0 compliant
- Fast and simple.
It can be very easily integrated in any Web site just by including "sbclinks.php" after configuring it.
SBCLinks is a PHP/MySQL script that lets you run your link/download directory. At the moment it has implemented only a hits counter. If I see that people is interested in this stuff, I will implement some other cool features such as:
- Vote system.
- Broken link reports
- Link reviews.
Installation:
mysqladmin -u root -p create sbc
mysql -u root -p sbc < sbclinks.sql
now edit config.php and change the variables.
Add new categories and links and it should work loading the URL in the browser.
When you import the database to MySQL, you can remove sql directory.
Usage:
Using SBCLinks is very easy. The only thing that you have to do is installing phpMyAdmin and add links and categories.
When you add a category, if it "pid" field is 0, it will hang at the root of the directory. If "pid" is the "id" of another category, it will hang at that category... its very easy. For that root categories, there is a field called "icon" that will load an image for that category in img/ directory. There is also a "descr" field to add a description of that category. If you add subcategories, leave this
fields in blank.
When you add a link, in the field "pid" you must enter the ID of the parent category where you want to hang that link.
If you add a link to a webpage, insert "0" in field "kind".
If you add a link to a file, insert "1" in the field "kind".

MPI Ruby 0.3

MPI Ruby 0.3

MPI Ruby is a Ruby binding of MPI. more>>
MPI Ruby is a Ruby binding of MPI. MPI Rubys primary goal in making this binding was to make the power of MPI available to Ruby users in a way that fits into the languages object oriented model.
In order to do this, the buffer and datatype management necessary in the C, C++, and Fortran bindings have been removed. What this means is that MPI Ruby allows you to treat objects as messages.
MPI Ruby also aims to be a complete binding to MPI in that it offers access to nearly all functionality of MPI. While there is not a one-to-one correspondence to functions and constants in the Ruby and C/C++/Fortran bindings, all of the communication and topology features are available.
There are fewer methods in the Ruby binding than there are functions in the C/C++/Fortran bindings, but this is mainly due to the fact that the programmer no longer needs to deal with buffers and datatypes.
Enhancements:
- examples/irecv.rb: Removed sleep from irecv example
- configure: Removed configure
- examples/Makefile.am: Added op example to Makefile
- examples/redsubmit.rb, examples/op.rb, examples/redhalt.rb, examples/red.rb:

Fixed all of the rb_str_new2()s that were causing marshalling problems.
Fixed defines of singleton methods.
Fixed dims_create()
Now works with MPICH because of atexit(MPI_Finalize)
Set the MPI error handler
Fixed operators in MPI::Group (+ -> | and ^ -> &)
