Liquid War is a unique multiplayer wargame. Liquid War rules are truely original and have been invented by Thomas Colcombet.

You control an army of liquid and have to try and eat your opponents. A single player mode is available, but the game is definitely designed to be multiplayer, and has network support.

It has been ranked "most original Linux Game" by the Linux Game Tome in 2002. It and has also been nominated in the games category at the internationnal free software contest "Les trophées du libre" in 2003. And I was pleased to hear that Liquid War has been distributed on CD-ROM by a fair number of magazines (essentially in Germany).

Liquid War is available for DOS, Windows, GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and uses Allegro. It is distributed as free software (free speech, not beer), under the terms of the GNU General Public License ( GPL ).

Whats New in This Release:

· Joystick support has hopefully been fixed.
· It had been missing for several years due to dead and untouched broken code.
· Other minor bugs have also been fixed.
· As usual, the game comes with still more new maps.
· One notable change is that it now uses Allegro 4.2.0.
· RPM packages have not been generated yet.

GNOME War Pad is VGA Planets client for GNOME 2 desktop platform. It aims to develop a full featured client, including scripting Python support.

VGA Planets is a play-by-email space conquest strategy game, it can be played by 11 players max. This game is being played by strategy fanatics all over the world for some years now, is very addictive and there are several servers on the Internet that host various kinds of this games.

Well, first of all this game is great, I thank Tim Wisseman for his creation, secondly its very cheap to register it (I think 5 USD) and if you dont want to register it, you still can play it with some limitations. Plus, because this game was developed for DOS, almost all clients existing this days are for DOS or Windows, and since Im a GNU/Linux freak, Im tired of playing VP with dosemu, its just too slow! :-)...so thats my itch, I wanna scratch it as ESR says.

Actually, there isnt a GNU/Linux client for VP that Im aware of, I know that PCCs author, Stefan Reuther from Germany, is porting his excellent client to GNU/Linux using the SDL library, this is great! but again, GNOME deserves to have its own client, so I started this project as an excuse to learn how to program for GNOME, and also to polish my C programming skills.

Wars of Destiny project is a real-time strategy game with network support.

Wars of Destiny is a real-time strategy game. It is currently in a major building stage, but looks very promising. If you are interested in helping, then your assistance would be greatly appreciated. It uses SDL 1.2.0 and SDL_mixer, and it includes fully integrated network support for playing with other people over the Internet. It also includes a map creator and an easy-to-use interface for configuring WOD.

Blob Wars : Blob and Conquer is a 3rd person action shooter. With the apparent defeat of Galdov and the reclaiming of the Fire, Space, Time and Reality Crystals, the Blobs battle was only just beginning.

Bob had rescued many Blobs and fought many battles, but now he had an ever bigger task ahead of him. The Blobs homeworld is still littered with the alien forces and Bob once again makes it his task to lead the counter attack.

But even without Galdov the aliens are still extremely well organised.

Fid Emacs project is an Emacs-like text editor integrated with the Frigand Imperial Desktop.

fid-listbuffer is a buffer implementation for the Frigand Imperial Desktop. Fid buffers are typically mutable monoids over particular unit types; the exact unit type and the equations satisfied by the monoid determine the particular buffer type.

This package defines a parametric buffer type for the simple case of a free monoid over a unit type that is to be exposed to the programmer, where replaceableRegion additionally is equivalent to ( r d -> return True).

Fid Core Library is the core library for the Frigand Imperial Desktop, a genuine Unix desktop environment based around multiprocessing, text-stream IPC, and the "everything is a file" concept.

fid-graphics project is a simple toolkit for the Frigand Imperial Desktop.

It is probably the easiest toolkit to write a display engine for, but it does not support any widgets.

Civil is a cross-platform, turn-based, networked strategy game, developed using Python, Pygame and SDL. Civil allows players to take part in scenarios set in historical battle theatres. To date, the U.S. Civil war has been the primary focus.

JDiveLog is an open source divers logbook for logging scuba dives. JDiveLog project is written in Java (JRE 5.0 or later required). For transfer of dive profiles from a dive computer, the javax.comm package has to be installed and configured.

For Linux I recommend the RXTX implementation. Up to now some Suunto models are supported. I would appreciate feedback whether a dive computer model works or not.

The reason for writing this logbook was, because I couldnt find a logbook software for Linux which had all features i wished.

JDiveLog is licensed under the terms of the GPL. So anybody can use it and modify it as he wants.

Me TV is a digital television viewer for GNOME.

The software was developed for the modern digital lounge room with a PC for a media centre that is capable of normal PC tasks (web surfing, word processing and watching TV). It is not designed to be a full-blown media centre such as MythTV but will integrate well with the existing GNOME desktop. If you think that a remote is something that belongs in a museum then Me TV is probably for you.

It currently supports only DVB-T but Im willing to add support for other DVB types because it seems straight forward. It just needs to be tested.

Claros Anonymity is a servlet that allows anonymous browsing. It acts like a proxy, hiding the end users IP.

Claros Anonymity also enables the user to bypass a URL/IP based corporate firewall, as the requests are all directed to the machine running the servlet.

Installation:

Copy the war file to $TOMCAT_INSTALL_DIR/webapps folder
Start Tomcat

For other application servers, you shall know what to do with a war file. If war extension means nothing to you, just unzip is it, if it was a regular zip archive.

Claros Anonymity is an out of box application and no configuration is needed. If you want further assistance details are bundled with the readme.txt file.

Whats New in This Release:

Claros Downloader is a simple, highly customizable, multi-threaded, web based downloader manager. You can download files to your desktop, corporate server, wherever you are. You simply point your browser to Claros Downloader, login, add new urls. It forks a new thread downloading the remote file to the server running the web application. Thats it.

Installation:

For Tomcat Users:

Copy the war file to $TOMCAT_INSTALL_DIR/webapps folder

Start Tomcat

For other application servers, you shall know what to do with a war file. If war extension means nothing to you, just unzip is it, if it was a regular zip archive.

All configuration is done in WEB-INF/resources directory. Open config.properties with your favorite editor, and follow the instructions.

Please Note: There is a Java class called AddUser.class in WEB-INF/classes/org/claros/downloader/admin directory. Run this class from console to add a new user to the system.
