IMAP utils software contains a set of simple utilities for managing IMAP emails.
imap-purge
Purges old read and unread mails from folders.

MrPostman is a java program that allows you to access Yahoo Mail, Hotmail and other webmail services directly from your favorite mail client.
MrPostman project converts the web pages of your favorite webmail provider to e-mails and provides the standard POP interface to your mail client (e.g. Outlook Express, Netscape or Mozilla Mail, Thunderbird, Pegasus).
MrPostman is Free Software, released under the terms of the GNU Public License.

Adding a new webmail provider might be as simple as writing a script of 50 lines. Feel free to add a script for your favourite provider and send it to us to be included in the next release.

Hmail is a SuperKaramba theme to check for unread messages on one or more Hotmail accounts. It uses gotmail (http://sourceforge.net/projects/gotmail) to do its work.

Feel free to use it and modify it as desired.

Wapymail is a WAP/WML email client written in PHP. It allows you to check your IMAP email from any WAP/WML enabled device.

Wapymail projetc is pretty good, and real simple to setup and use.

sKimap SuperKaramba theme will display the number of new and unread emails in your imap mail account. It can monitor your imap server mailboxes for new and unread messages. It will auto-size itself to accommodate the number of mailboxes you are watching.

The number of mailboxes is only limited by your screen real-estate. You can choose which of the mailboxes on your account you want to watch.

You can set the update interval, and which email client opens when you click the top of the theme. Configuration is all done through a configuration dialog.

pilot-mailsync is an application to transfer outgoing mail from and deliver incoming mail (from a mail source like IMAP, POP or local files) to a Palm OS device using the Palm Mail application.
pilot-mailsync project relies on the libraries installed by pilot-link.

IMAPFilter is a mail filtering utility. It connects to remote mail servers using the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP), sends searching queries to the server and processes mailboxes based on the results.
IMAPFilter can be used to delete, copy, flag, move, etc. messages residing in mailboxes at the same or different mail servers. The 4rev1 and 4 versions of the IMAP protocol are supported.
IMAPFilter uses the Lua programming language as a configuration and extension language.
Main features:
- Definition of filters using many searching criteria available in the IMAP protocol, such as:
- Matching of a string in the headers or the body of a message.
- Size of a message.
- Date of a message.
- Status (recent, unread, etc.) of a message.
- Ability to use logical operators (and/or/not) while defining filters.
- Different actions when a filter matches a message, including:
- Deleting of a message.
- Moving of a message to a mailbox in the same of different servers
- Copying of a message to a mailbox in the same or different servers.
- Changing of a messages flags.
- Listing of the available and/or subscribed mailboxes, along with support for the IMAP CHILDREN extension.
- Internationalisation (I18N) support.
- Server namespace support using the IMAP NAMESPACE extension.
- Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS) encrypted imaps (port 993) connections.
- Encrypted connections using the IMAP STARTTLS extension.
- User authentication with the Challenge-Response Authentication Mechanism (CRAM), specifically CRAM-MD5.

imapbiff checks IMAP accounts for new mail. It uses images similar to those of the classic xbiff program. The project works similar to xbiff, except it is only used to check for new mail in IMAP accounts.

It is written in perl, and requires the Tk module for perl. It was written spefically to be docked in my fvwm2 button bar, as I could not find a simple xbiff like app that would do IMAP checks.
