Gallery Uploader 0.2.2

Gallery Uploader 0.2.2

Gallery Uploader is a Python script that can upload pictures to Web Gallery (only versions 2.0 or above). more>>
Gallery Uploader is a Python script that can upload pictures to Web Gallery (only versions 2.0 or above).

Gallery Uploader supports multiple galleries. To do it so, you need to save URL, User and Password using the –save option, passing a name to the gallery. You can point to this gallery using the -G option. If there is only one gallery in the configuration, you won’t need the -G option, as GUP will automagically use that gallery.

Creating Albums

To create an album, you need the -c option. This option takes three parameters:

Parent album id: the id of the album where the new album will be created. There is an special album with id “0″, which is the root of all albums, but it is NOT the album you see when you open Web Gallery in the browser. To find this “first album”, you can use the –show-child=0 option;

Album name: it’s the name your gallery will have. In the web interface, it is the first field asked when creating an album. Internally, it is the directory name in the server where the pictures will be stored (so, invalid file names will cause GUP to fail);

Album title: it’s the visible part of the album, displayed on the page.

Also, note that there is three parameters and that space is used to split them. So, if you want to add spaces to your album name or album title, you need to enclose it by quotes, like -c 7 my_first_album “My First Album” (this will create an album named “My First Album”, stored as “my_first_album” in the server, under the album with the id “7″).

Uploading Images

To upload images, you need to create an album (using something like the above example) or using the -a option, passing the album id. Also, if you don’t need the picture in your computer after uploading, you can use the –delete option.

image-viewer is a very simple Kommander script. But written following one of the 2-3 tutorials you can find on the net. Included in tarball you can find this guide to introduce in Kommander GUI. The site is: http://applications.linux.com/article.pl?sid=04/12/17/2033227&tid=49 and was written in 2004 by Michał Kosmulski

I know people want to use this great program..but documentations are very poor...this example helps people who wants to learn something about simple array, combobox, label and connections between signals and slots..very very important.

So, i hope the guide and the example will be usefull.

GAIA Image Transcoder 1.0

GAIA Image Transcoder 1.0

GAIA Image Transcoder project is an open source library that operates image transcoding, with a special focus on mobile apps. more>>
Transcoding is the process by which a data object in one representation is converted into another representation. Typical examples include conversion between different formats of the same media type (e.g., an image encoded in a certain format is transcoded into an image encoded in a second format), as well as conversion between media types (e.g., speech to text). In addition to format conversion, transcoding also allows a data object to be compressed or transformed.
GAIA Image Transcoder (GIT) project is an open source library that operates image transcoding, with a special focus on mobile applications. GIT was originally developed by Open Reply team as a part of a content adaptation and delivery framework and its publication under LGPL license is the first step of the entire framework release process.
GIT comes in two parts:
- a transformation and transcoding library that performs image adaptation to mobile device using information retrieved from WURFL file
- a very simple JSP tag library that enables library utilization into a J2EE environment
The transcoding library works as a transformation pipeline. The pipeline is composed by a set of filters. A filter could operate directly on the image body or indirectly on the associated meta-information. GIT architecture supports the management cycle of such pipes while GIT tag libraries simplifies their definition.

Prima::image-load 1.20

Prima::image-load 1.20

Prima::image-load is a Perl module using image subsystem. more>>
Prima::image-load is a Perl module using image subsystem.

Simple loading

Simplest case, loading a single image would look like:

my $x = Prima::Image-> load( filename.duf);
die "$@" unless $x;

Image functions can work being either invoked from package, or from existing Prima::Image object, in latter case the caller object itself is changing. The code above could be also written as

my $x = Prima::Image-> create;
die "$@" unless $x-> load( filename.duf);

In both cases $x contains image data upon success. Error is returned into $@ variable ( see perldoc perlvar for more info).

Image Magazine provides a content type which acts both as a folder and as an image.
You populate it with 2 to 4 images, and optionnaly select a layout.
Options include width, background color, padding and margin, and layout mode.
ImageMag then merges the images into a layout while keeping the aspect ratios.
You can then use and call your ImageMag as a standard ploneImage, this mean you can :
.use instance/image_thumbnail, instance/image_large, and so on suffixes to call its different sizes
.call it directly from kupu to illustrate your articles (see readme.txt)
Works with:
- Plone 2.5.2

Image Database 2.1

Image Database 2.1

KDE Image Database (KimDaBa) is a tool for indexing, searching, and viewing images. more>>
If you are like me you have hundreds or even thousands of images ever since you got your first camera, some taken with a normal camera other with a digital camera.
Through all the years you believed that until eternity you would be able to remember the story behind every single picture, you would be able to remember the names of all the persons on your images, and you would be able to remember the exact date of every single image.
I personally realized that this was not possible anymore, and especially for my digital images - but also for my paper images - I needed a tool to help me describe my images, and to search in the pile of images. This is exactly what KimDaba is all about.
With KimDaBa it is today possible for me to find any image I have in less than 5 seconds, let that be an image with a special person, an image from a special place, or even both.
There is of course no such thing as free lunch - with KimDaBa this means that you have to annotate all your images before you are set. KimDaBa is, however, highly optimized for annotating images, so annotating 100 images in 10 minutes are no way impossible.
Enhancements:
- BUGFIX: Using kapp->invokeHelp to show help rather than kapp->invokeBrowser, as the later doesnt work unless your default browser is konqueror.
- BUGFIX: the category was sometimes shown twice in the status bar
- BUGFIX: remove tokens didnt work for KDE 3.4

# - makes for a progress bar which really means something
$gif = new Image::ParseGIF ("progress.gif") or die "failed to parse: $@n";

$gif->print_header;

$gif->print_percent(0.00); # starting...
do_some_work_stage1();
