Ideality is an advanced IDEAL-like library for Qt4.

To compile:

qmake -recursive
make

The library contains some demostrations.

Currently only g++/Linux is tested using Qt 4.1/4.2 but there is no reason for not work on other platform/compiler supported by Qt 4.

AIOTrade (i.e. Humai Trader Platform) is a stock technical analysis platform with a pluggable architecture that is ideal for extensions such as indicators and charts.
It supports parallel quote data retrieval from Yahoo! or ASCII text files, historical (daily, weekly, and monthly), intra-day, and real-time charts, and candle, bar, and line charts.
It has a calendar date/trading date view model. "MACD", "OBV", "ROC", "KD", "BIAS", "DMI", "RSI", "MTM", and "WMS" indicators and drawing of "Line", "Parallel", "Gann Angle", and "Fibonacci Line" are supported. You can easily write your own indicators.
Enhancements:
- Charting performance was improved a lot.
- An integrated scrolling and zooming controller was added.
- An icon was added, indicating the data source, such as from Yahoo!, CSV, or IB.
- Indicators and drawings icons are shown with the same frequency as current charts only.
- A scrolling real-time chart window which can pop up as a standalone window was added.
- An indicators title can be double-clicked to pop up a standalone indicator window for detailed analysis.
- An experimental IB-TWS data feed interface was added. (Calling for test).
- A chart can be saved to a custom time frame image, which can be even bigger than your screen.

Quick Order provides an ordering system using Java Wireless HTTP Form.
It uses J2ME libraries to submit forms to an HTTP server running PHP and MySQL. It can run on any embedded device that supports Java Wireless, including mobile phones and Palm systems.
It is ideal for making orders in restaurants, point of sale (POS), etc. It supports English and Chinese Big 5 encoding.
Enhancements:
- PASP is used for the server-side language font.
- An HTTP POST method was added to the server.
- A vector is used to allow flexibility of ordered items.

Davids Perl Games project is a collection of ASCII graphics arcade style games written in Perl.

These games are recreations of simple ASCII graphics games originally written in BASIC.

They are ideal for use as Perl programming tutorials. Some of the first few games are PerlBlaster (defend your planet from invading aliens), PerlRacer (steer your car through the twisting passages), and PerlArena (eliminate the mutant hordes).

debian-updates is a simple script that sends an email or displays console messages if any relevant Debian security updates become available. debian-updates is ideal for running from cron.

QuickRip is a basic DVD ripper for GNU/Linux (and other UNIX variants, though none have been tested) written in Python and PyQt.
Whilst it lacks options to fine-tune how you want to rip your DVD, it makes ripping quick and easy, and so is ideal for those who arent bothered about framerates, clipping, and other (in my experience) unecessary options.

KPlaylistCreator is a jukebox for KDE.

encdec encodes and decodes a wide range of C objects.

This module may be used to encode and decode C objects such as integers, floats, doubles, times, and internationalized strings to and from a wide variety of binary formats as they might appear in portable file formats or network messages.

These encodings include 16, 34, and 64 bit big and little endian intergers, big and little endian IEEE754 float and double values, 6 time encodings, and the wide range of string encodings supported by libiconv.

The functions are all designed to be ideal for in-situ decoding and encoding of complex formats. The code is licensed under the GNU Library General Public License.
