KMilo Thinkpad Plugin

KMilo Thinkpad Plugin

The KMilo Thinkpad Plugin allows you to use the volume, mute, brightness, and other special buttons on IBM Thinkpad keyboards. more>>
KMilo is a service for kded, the KDE daemon. KMilo is new to KDE 3.2. It allows plugins which interact with the special buttons found on some keyboards and laptops.

This KMilo plugin reads the nvram used in IBM Thinkpads. You need the Linux nvram module (insmod nvram) and to create a device node (mknod /dev/nvram c 10 144).

Thinkpad R30/R31 models do not have a hardware volume control and so require software volume control. Other models need software volume control only if you want a volume change step different from the builtin value (14). This required write access to nvram (chmod 666 /dev/nvram) and could potentially damage the machine.

A KControl Centre module is included to configure the values including whether this service is run or not (by default it is not).KMilo is a service for kded, the KDE daemon. KMilo is new to KDE 3.2. It allows plugins which interact with the special buttons found on some keyboards and laptops.

Xbox360 Controller Driver

Xbox360 Controller Driver

Xbox360 Controller Driver package contains the diabolixs compiled Xbox360 controller driver for Linux on the PS3. more>>
Xbox360 Controller Driver package contains the diabolixs compiled Xbox360 controller driver for Linux on the PS3.

Its been tested with Fedora Core 5 (PPC distribution) using Snes9x and Doom.

The Xbox 360 is the successor to Microsofts Xbox video game console, developed in cooperation with IBM, ATI, Samsung and SiS. Information on the console first came through viral marketing campaigns and it was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005, with detailed launch and game information divulged later that month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

The Xbox 360 is the first console to have a near-simultaneous launch across the three major regions, and the first to provide wireless controller support at launch. The console sold out completely at release and by the end of 2006 had sold 10.4 million worldwide.

The Xbox 360 was the first home console to be released in the seventh generation of game consoles and competes against Sonys PlayStation 3 and Nintendos Wii. Its Xbox Live service allows players to compete online as well as download games and additional content.

GCViewer 1.26

GCViewer 1.26

GCViewer is a little tool that visualizes verbose GC output generated by Sun and IBM Java Virtual Machines. more>>
GCViewer is a Swing-based application that visualizes the verbose garbage collection output generated by the IBM and Sun Java VMs (-verbose:gc/-Xloggc:-flags).
The data can also be exported as CSV for forther processing with a spreadsheet application. Visualizing the data can help when one is tuning the garbage collector, especially the generation sizes and initial heap size.
Main features:
- Sun JDK 1.4/1.5 with the options -Xloggc:< file > [-XX:+PrintGCDetails]
- Sun JDK 1.2.2/1.3.1/1.4 with the option -verbose:gc
- IBM JDK 1.3.1/1.3.0/1.2.2 with the option -verbose:gc
Best results are achieved with: -Xloggc:< file >
GCViewer can also export the data in CSV (comma separated values) format, which may easily be imported into spreadsheet applications for further processing.
GCViewer has been developed with J2SE 1.4.
Enhancements:
- The build scripts were moved from Ant to Maven2.
- The Jar was compiled with Java 1.4.
- Also, support for HP-UX 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 was added.

Domino Javadoc Generator 0.4

Domino Javadoc Generator 0.4

Domino Javadoc Generator project aims to create a documentation to the Lotus Notes API for Java. more>>
Domino Javadoc Generator project aims to create a documentation to the Lotus Notes API for Java in a standard format common in the Java comunity and accepted by the most IDEs for Java.

The Lotus Notes API is delivered as a Java archive together with the original documentation in the native format of a Domino database with the IBM Domino Designer. The documentation can be read only in the Lotus Notes. Java-oriented tools cannot use it to display a description of a Java class, to browse classes and their methods or to offer an automatic code insertion based on a Java object and its class.

The goal is to create a Javadoc documentation together with a pseudo-source code of the Lotus Notes API. The documentation can be viewed, indexed and integrated to IDEs. The pseudo-source code can be integrated to IDEs to support object browsing and automatic source code insertion.

MirBSD Korn Shell R30

MirBSD Korn Shell R30

MirBSD Korn Shell (mksh) is an actively developed successor of pdksh (the Public Domain Korn Shell). more>>
MirBSD Korn Shell (mksh) is an actively developed successor of pdksh (the Public Domain Korn Shell), aimed at producing a shell good for interactive use, but with primary focus on scripting.
The project is intended to be portable to most *nix-like operating systems as long as theyre not too obscure. mksh incorporates improvements from OpenBSD and Debian, as well as bugfixes and enhancements developed for the MirOS and FreeWRT projects. The emacs command line editing mode is UTF-8 capable.
The shell supports large files, as well as all pdksh and some csh, AT&T ksh, and GNU bash features, is compatible with the Bourne shell (within limits, but you can turn off brace expansion), has no limit on array sizes, and incorporates some other useful builtins and features. While being already fast and small (without losing functionality), flags to make it even smaller can be given at compile time. An interactive shell reads "~/.mkshrc" on startup.
Enhancements:
- Packagers should read the information at http://www.mirbsd.org/mksh.htm#upgrade.
- mksh can now be built on more platforms, such as AIX, and with a lot of vendor compilers (Intel, Sun, IBM, Microsoft, Borland, Digital Mars, HP) in addition to gcc.
- Some constructs from GNU bash are supported.
- The code and build system got cleaned up, fixed, and improved further.
- Large file support on some OSes and POSIX compatibility got better.

OpenPKG leverages proven technologies like Red Hat Package Manager (RPM)and neatly provides an additional system layer on top of the operating system.
It is a fully self-contained with minimal external dependencies(no RPM pre-installation required), and installs itself by means of a tricky bootstrapping procedure with minimal operating system intrusion. OpenPKG especially supports multiple installation instances on the same system.
Main features:
- Portable across major Unix platforms.
- Available for FreeBSD 4.11/5.4/6.0/7.0, NetBSD 2.0, Sun Solaris 8/9/10, Debian GNU/Linux 3.1, Fedora Core 4, RedHat Enterprise Linux 4, Novell SUSE Linux 9.3/10, Gentoo Linux 1.12.0, Mandriva Linux 10.2.
