I-AM-DOH 1

I-AM-DOH 1

IAMDOH is a tool designed to increase the reliability of an IDS by reducing the number of false positives. more>>
IAMDOH is a tool designed to increase the reliability of an IDS by reducing the number of false positives. It uses existing reliable tools like Nmap, Nessus, and Amap to validate IDS alerts.

In early 2003, nobody had volunteered to collaborate (although some chaps from London 2600 did share some info) so in-between versions of WIDZ and whilst I was resting ( consultant speak for having a huge falling out with several dumb-ass Scottish accountant types, then running away to find a new job with a big bag over one shoulder with swag written on it ), I wrote I-am-doh as a proof of concept (i.e. I dont programme worth a damn) to demonstrate how the above techniques can be used.

It leverages nessus and the nessus database for vulnerability identification. It leverages Nmap for port and OS identification - and now service identification. It used to (and may do again) use AMAP and VMAP for Service and version identification. It uses bug tracking to find out online vulnerability info.

The concept of product re-useably is continued, all guis are based on existing products like gnome-terminal, which provides the ability to scroll and to open browser windows on to bug track or nessus.org. These features would have taken ages to code !!!.

I wasnt going to release the code ever because youd all been so bloody unco-operative but in view of the comments from the G**TNER last week about IDS being dead I thought Id better release early

BOTTOM-LINE - I-AM-DOH filters greater than 75% of the false-positives.

Give it ago, the code is as flaky as hell but it proves a point.

Lyric-am 0.2

Lyric-am 0.2

Lyric-am is a Superkaramba applet that shows lyrics of your songs directly on your desktop. more>>
Lyric-am is a Superkaramba applet that shows lyrics of your songs directly on your desktop.
Lyric-am requires amaroK player version 1.3.X or newer. If you want to test your configuration before download this script write "dcop amarok default lyrics" in your shell when amaroK plays a song with lyrics: if you get lyrics in your shell, the script could be work.
You can get better performance if you use a database to store lyrics: see amaroK manual to see how you can do it.
When you have created an amaroK database and configured it correctly, you can create a collection of lyrics listening songs with "Lyrics" tab selected (do it on-line!): youll have a collection to browse it also off-line.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Im a newbie.
- Ive wrote it only to learn Python (I cut-and-pasted, modified in a bad way some code from other scripts to learn syntax).
- For that reason I dont assure you that this scripts works fine, use it carefully.
- It works for me and thats all!

Legendary Legions 20070411

Legendary Legions 20070411

Legendary Legions is a turn-based strategy game with fantasy theme and rpg-elements. more>>
Legendary Legions is a turn-based strategy game with fantasy theme and rpg-elements (e.g. leveling the units, and skills which you could raise).
Your mission is to destroy enemys castle. You can be on good or evil side. A the moment game supports only 2 human player game, but in future we plan to add AI and network play. The gameplay is similar to this in Heroes of Might and Magic but its much simpler of course.
Game was written with allegro for graphic and:
- allegromp3 for music
- loadpng for png support
Note:
All units have been taken from Celtic Legends (an old Amiga game), the concept is a hybrid of Celtic Legends (its not clone), Heroes of Might & Magic and Civilization :D . The dragon in menu and in interface is not ours too as well as music in trailer ;D. Hmmm whats more... the code is ours (but we wont public it yet and everything is in polish so you wont understand it at all), the rest graphic are ours. Oh and sound when the unit is building is not ours too. I think its all about copyrights. The game is freeware, non-profit etc.
Enhancements:
- network multiplayer support
- graphic feature: dynamic clouds with lightining
- builder now can build tower or town
- performance tweak: framelimiter
- fixed bug: tower capture
- some optimization and bugfixes

Play What I Mean 0.09

Play What I Mean 0.09

Play What I Mean plays media files on a local machine based on a given set of terms found within the filenames. more>>
Play What I Mean project allows a user to, from a single commandline or terminal, enter a string, or list of strings, that represent what he/she wishes to have played by whatsoever media player he chooses, the default being MPlayer, and then having that particular item be found and played.
What this essentially means is that if I were to have a sudden hankering to listen to a particular song or video, lets say Ice Pick by The Pillows, which happens to be the song to a particular music video that I enjoy watching. Under the traditional methods of video viewing I would be stuck with two potential courses of action for playing this particular file:
- Change directories several times to that one folder somewhere that I "know" its in, or
- Point and Click my mouse until I find that same directory and then search through what could be countless files to find it.
Each of these prospective choices have their own inherent difficulties and ire. Using the commandline often requires alot of typing to arrive at the desired directory, often times nestled deep within the tree.
Once there your problems only multiply by the number of files you actually store in your "media" folder, try ls | moreing through a heavily populated folder looking for the name of that file you wanted to play sometime, it isnt too fun and further is a waste of my valuable time.
You may be thinking at this point that the second option, the graphical one, must be easier since its exciting, full of pictures, and frankly novel, I disagree. I may not be the best judge on this matter, seeing as how I cant see out of my right eye however, I feel that scanning through a large folder, or folders, full of files is quite a strain on the vision, and more importantly an unnescesary burden on what should be a simple matter.
Main features:
- Nestable Playlist support
- Multi-string arguments
- Transparent command option passing
- Cache for faster access of frequently played files
- Graphical configure

Spectalum rev31

Spectalum rev31

Spectalum project is an engine for the CRPG Eye of the Beholder II. more>>
Spectalum project is an engine for the CRPG Eye of the Beholder II.

Spectalum is a reverse engineered Open Source game engine for the 1991 CRPG Eye of the Beholder II: The Legend of Darkmoon originally developed by Westwood Associates.

Like with most similar projects, the original game data has to be obtained seperately to play the game.

Why..?

Because I loved this game so much - I played it a long long time ago on my Amiga 500 and later on my first PC.

Another point is my interest in classic gaming technologies. I think this Dungeon-Master style is very interesting from a gamers - and a programmers view. You can create fascinating worlds with very low system resources.

How to play

Copy your original game datafiles (ENGLISH version only) into the "original" game folder. Now start the game with the remake-binary (e.g. spectalum.exe).

Eye of the Beholder - the Legend of Darkmoon is a classic role playing game from the early 90s. You move through a static tile-based 3D environment solving puzzles and hunting monsters.

What do I need to play this remake?

My ambition is to create a system-independent 100% remake of the great original. That means old-school 320x200 role playing gameplay. By using the SDL multimedia library and general C++ coding standards the game will run on any libSDL supported platform.

Unix I-Ching Generator 0.8.1

Unix I-Ching Generator 0.8.1

Unix I-Ching Generator is an I Ching generator for the Unix command line. more>>
Unix I-Ching Generator project is an I Ching generator for the Unix command line.
It accepts questions and generates responses that can be looked up in the I Ching (a Chinese divination book).
It is designed around "spiritual algorithms", that is, algorithms that make some sort of sense spiritually, not just programatically.
This is software that automates the casting of I-Ching hexagrams. It does not provide the interpretations or readings of those hexagrams.
It merely outputs a mandella of two hexagrams and then informs you of the numerical identity of each hexagram.
Enhancements:
- Moved global options to header file. (ARJ)
- Changed unigram::cast() so that it relied on globals. (ARJ)
- Fixed spelling errors. (ARJ)

# Get list of constraints
my @constraints = $widget->get_constraints;

# Get list of filters
my @filters = $widget->get_filters;

Create easy to maintain HTML widgets!

Everything is optional, use validation only or just generate forms, you can embed and merge them later.

The API was designed similar to other popular modules like Data::FormValidator and FormValidator::Simple, HTML::FillInForm is also built in (and much faster).

This Module is very powerful, dont misuse it as a template system!
