WMS Javascript Library 0.02
WMS Javascript Library is an object-oriented JavaScript library for creating dynamic Web-based maps. more>>
WMS Javascript Library is an object-oriented JavaScript library for creating dynamic Web-based maps from otherwise static WMS (Web Map Service) images by adding pan/zoom functionality with Google Maps-like draggability.
Custom clickable overlays can be added to create a useful GIS.
WMS Javascript Librarys wmsmap.js purpose is to facilitate the creation of dynamics maps using freely available WMS servers. For example to create the dynamic equivalent of the image above, include the javascript files, define the Layer object, create a new map object, and associate it with an html DIV element.
// define layer object
var myLayer = {
URL: http://wms.jpl.nasa.gov/wms.cgi?,
LAYERS: [BMNG],
FORMAT: image/jpeg,
BBOX: [0,0,180,90]
};
// create new map object with layer
var myMap = new WMap(map_div,[myLayer]);
Enhancements:
- This release fixes IE bugs and improves the documentation and example layout.

Javascript::Menu 2.02
Javascript::Menu is a NumberedTree that generates HTML and Javascript code for a menu. more>>
Javascript::Menu is a NumberedTree that generates HTML and Javascript code for
a menu.
SYNOPSIS
use Javascript::Menu;
# Give it something to do (example changes the menus caption):
my $action = sub {
my $self = shift;
my ($level, $unique) = @_;
my $value = $self->getValue;
return "getElementById(caption_$unique).innerHTML=$value";
};
# Build the tree:
my $menu = Javascript::Menu->convert(tree => $otherTree, action => $action);
my $menu = Javascript::Menu->readDB(source_name => $table, source => $dbh,
action => $action);
my $menu = Javascript::Menu->new(value => Please select a parrot,
action => $action);
my $blue = $menu->append(value => Norwegian Blue);
$blue->append(value => Pushing up the daisies);
$menu->append(value => A Snail);
# Or maybe you just want a navigational menu?
my $menu = Javascript::Menu->new(value => Please select a prime minister);
$menu->append(value => Ariel Sharon,
URL => www.corruption.org/ariel_sharon.htm);
$menu->append(value => Benjamin Netanyahu,
URL => www.corruption.org/bibi.htm);
$menu->append(value => Shaul Mofaz, URL => www.martial_law.org);
# Print it out as a right-to-left menu:
my $css = $menu->buildCSS($menu->reasonableCSS);
print $cgi->start_html(-script => $menu->baseJS(rtl),
-style => $css); #CSS plays an important role.
print $tree->getHTML;
Javascript::Menu is an object that helps in creating the HTML, Javascript, and some of the CSS required for a table-based menu. There are a few other modules that deal with menus, But as I browsed through them, I found that none of them exactly fitted my needs. So I designed this module, with the following goals in mind:
Flexibility
The main feature of this module is the ability to supply all nodes or any specific node with a subroutine that is activated in time of the code generation to help decide what the item will do when it is clicked. This allows customisation far beyond associating a link with every item. Multy-level selection menus become very easy to do (and this is, in fact, what I needed when I started writing this).
I18n
Working with i18n (internationalization) can be a big headache. Working with Hebrew (or Arabic) forces you not only to change your charachters, but also to change your direction of writing. I incorporated into this module the ability to produce right-to-left menus and tested it using a legacy ASCII-based encoding (iso-8859-8).
Object Hierarchy
I designed the module to work with two other modules of mine, Tree::Numbered and Tree::Numbered::DB, which simplify the task of building the menu and allow for construction of a menu from database information.
The current version adds support for highlighting the item thats hovered over. Youll find that having made some preliminary steps, like tweaking the CSS to look the way you like it to, the rest is fairly easy.

Freejtv HTML/Javascript Slideshow Template 1.16
Freejtv HTML/Javascript Slideshow Template is a cross-browser, cross-platform HTML/Javascript template page... more>>
Freejtv HTML/Javascript Slideshow Template is a cross-browser, cross-platform HTML/Javascript template page for building your own slideshow and gallery. The project supports more than 30 DirectX transitions in the IE browser and fade in/out transition in Firefox.
Howto:
Press Simple Slide, Effect Slide and Collage Slide on top menubar to generate your own thumbnail photo album and music photo presentation (NO demo versions restriction or other functional limitations). Its a self-aid free service (based on Java applet, 1.4.2 or higher is required).
Nowadays a lot of free web hosting services provide free subdomain web space (100-500M space, 5G-20G bandwidth/Month, 500K filesize limit, PHP support, Zero cost for 1 year). You can upload the generated thumbnail gallery and the slide page to any web spaces. If the photos are too large, you can press the Image Processing on top menubar to reduce the filesize of a group of jpeg files. Its much easier than using photoshop to save them one by one.
Problems:
The most common error is caused by applets cache. For efficiency, applet and application data are cached and sticky in a directory other than browsers cache. If the applet could not work correctly, you should open the java plugin control panel and empty the cache first.
Error could also be caused by proxy. As this site is powered by services from Blogger, Googlepages and Myjavaserver, users should make sure that the browser could visit the 3 sites. Since applet may use a network connection different from browsers, users should make sure that the applet could visit all the three sites too. Applets network connection could be set from java plugin control panel.
If it still could not work, email the java consoles output to me.
Enhancements:
- Background music playing is improved in Firefox and Safari.
- This release works with Safari correctly.
- Music pause/resume support has been added.
- The documentation has been revised.

tkscript 0.9.0.60
tkscript is a JIT-accelerated more>>
tkscript is a JIT-accelerated C-like scripting language with bindings for OpenGL, SDL, SDL_net, libpng, and zlib.
A plugin SDK can be used to dynamically extend the script engine with custom C functions and C++ classes.
It can be used to create portable, 3D, OpenGL-accelerated multimedia applications.
TKS, short for "toolkit script-language", is an open and portable glue language for native code libraries. The script engine focuses on C++ API backends but also allows for C and Assembler functions. The scripts look much like C/C++/JavaScript/PHP so it will not take someone too long to get familiar with the syntax. A CPU table based (i.e. rather portable) Just In Time (JIT) compiler can speed up script execution by up to 100 times.
TKS serves as a scriptable application host for custom C++ libraries (?plugins?). Bindings for OpenGL,SDL,SDL_net,libpng,zlib,MiniFMOD and MySQL are available while other extensions are currently being developed, e.g. for the FOX GUI toolkit.
A TKS application project can be compiled to a gzip compressed TKX archive which will contain all data necessary to run that application. This technique makes it possible to deploy applications without prior local installation (besides the TKS runtime) which suggests the use for network based systems, e.g. the world wide web or intranets. TKX archives, in contrary to regular executables, are hardware-independent and can thus be used across multiple platforms.
The current implementation of the scriptlanguage, its source codes as well as precompiled distributions are available under the terms of the GNU General Public License.
The interface for application-specific C/C++ extension libraries (YAC) is released under terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License which also allows for proprietary (i.e. closed source) extensions (plugins).
Note: The code snippets found in this documentation can be run as-is, just copy them to a test.tks file and run them with the "tks" CLI command.
Main features:
- a C/C++/Java(Script) like, JIT accelerated scripting engine (and gzipd VFS) (TKScript)
- available for and tested with JIT support on:
- Microsoft Windows 95,98,Me,2000,XP
- X86 (very probably 68K) Linux (Mandrake, SuSE and some custom setups..)
- CygWin
- AmigaOS 3.0 (68040+ixemul+g++)
- application host for "YAC" plugins
- uses Win32-API resp. Solaris/Linux libdl to dynamically load DLLs/SOs
- a self contained, binary level C++ component/reflectance model and plugin SDK ("YAC")
- bindings for the OpenGL (1.1) toolkit ("tkopengl")
- bindings for the SDL cross platform hardware abstraction layer ("tksdl")
- The plugin can be used to develop video games and similar "realtime" applications.
- an abstraction to the hardware and software APIs of the Linux,Win32,BeOS,MacOS,MacOS-X,QNX,AmigaOS operating systems..
- supports the OpenGL graphics interface
- supports keyboard/mouse/joystick input devices
- audio support
- uses the SDL, SDL_net, libpng and zlib toolkits.
- The SDL_net API provides TCP/UDP networking facilities.
- a XML/HTML like markup language and interface to the FOX toolkit ("FXML")
- easy to learn if you know HTML and JavaScript (:
