GNU Aspell is a Free and Open Source spell checker designed to eventually replace Ispell. The project can either be used as a library or as an independent spell checker.
Its main feature is that it does a superior job of suggesting possible replacements for a misspelled word than just about any other spell checker out there for the English language. Unlike Ispell, Aspell can also easily check documents in UTF-8 without having to use a special dictionary.
Aspell will also do its best to respect the current locale setting. Other advantages over Ispell include support for using multiple dictionaries at once and intelligently handling personal dictionaries when more than one Aspell process is open at once.
Main features:
- Is an actual library that other programs can link to instead of having to use it through a pipe.
- Does a much better job of suggesting possible replacements for a misspelled word than Ispell does or for that matter any other spell checker I have seen. If you know a spell checker that does a better job please let me know.
- Can learn from users misspellings.
- Can easily check documents in UTF-8 without having to use a special dictionary.
- Has support for using multiple dictionaries at once.
- Is multiprocess intelligent. When a personal dictionary (or replacement list) is saved it will now first update the list against the dictionary on disk in case another process modified it.
- Can share the memory used in the main word list between processes.
- A better, more complete word list for the English language. Word lists are provided for American, British, and Canadian spelling. Special care has been taken to only include one spelling for each word in any particular word list. The word list included in Ispell by contrast only included support for American and British and also tends to included multiple spellings for a word which can mask some spelling errors.

aspell-da is an aspell dictionary for spell-checking Danish texts. aspell-da is based on "Den store danske ordliste" (The Comprehensive Danish Dictionary).

The Comprehensive Danish Dictionary (DSDO) is a free spell-checking dictionary for Danish published by Skane Sjeland Linux User Group (SSLUG). One thing which makes this dictionary different from most other dictionaries is that it basically is the result of a vote among the proof-readers. The editorial group has _not_ proof-read all the words in the dictionary, but guides the proof-readers and keeps track of the overall status of the dictionary.

Faroese Spell Checking Dictionary is intended to be used with programs like aspell and ispell.
Installation:
After unpacking this package you can use it at least four ways:
Make and install a Faroese dictionary for aspell:
$ make aspell && su -c "make install-aspell"
Make and install a Faroese dictionary for ispell:
$ make ispell && su -c "make install-ispell"
Make and install Faroese dictionaries for aspell and ispell in a single run:
$ make all && su -c "make install"
Make a plain text list of Faroese words:
$ make words

spell-karamba is a desktop applet for SuperKaramba that spells the typed words - letter by letter.

You can choose from deutsch, english, american, international and NATO spelling.

Installation:

Actually the installation is pretty easy:

Copy all files from the tarball into a new folder. A good choice would be $HOME/kde3/share/apps/superkaramba/themes/dwd. Thats all. You start the theme from a shell by "superkaramba spell.theme". If you have a superkaramba theme running already its even simpler. Right-click the open theme and select superkaramba - manage themes.

From there you can search for the .theme-file. Do not open any other file with the superkaramba application.

Yahoo::Search is a Perl interface to the Yahoo! Search public API.

The following search spaces are supported:

(Note: what this Perl API calls "Doc" Search is what Yahoo! calls "Web" Search. But gee, arent all web searches "Web" search, including Image/News/Video/etc?)

Wolfshade mud project is an an original MUD code base written in C++.
Wolfshade is an all new MUD (Multi-User Dimension), completely written in C++, with an object-oriented model and open source code. It is complete with full ANSI color, thousands of rooms, 27 races, 13 classes, 300+ spells, moving maps, God-run quests, race wars, and much more.

Enhancements:
- More bug fixes, more spells and potions, and a few more god commands. Note: WolfshadeMUD will no longer be hosted at the Wolfshade site.
- Code update releases are planned, but hosting a site has become an impossibility, for reasons beyond the authors control.

Source Mage GNU/Linux distribution is based on a sorcerous metaphor of "casting" and "dispelling" packages, which we refer to as "spells".

Please download, burn, and install this ISO to a spare partition, extra computer, or over your least favorite friends Windows partition. VMWare or bochs works too. Upon finding a glitch, please report it in bugzilla. No bug is too small, or too large.
