Extract archive is a service menu that allows you to extract any archive file that ark is capable to read + ACE files.
You can chose to extract here, or in a subdirectory. In that case, it asks you the name of the subdirectory where you want to extract, and suggests you the archive name by default.
To install, simply extract, and move the 2 files in ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus
Its highly recommended to download the latest version of unace on www.winace.com and to run this command line in the unace directory location : sudo cp unace /usr/bin/unace
You should desactivate ark integration into kde by going into the configuration menu of ark.
If you want translation to be added, post me comments.
Enhancements:
- thanks to shirka, extract archive path is now "test" for an "test.tar.bz2" file
- Name that appears in the menu is now "Extract archive" as suggested by dovidhalevi to differentiate with ark

Autoconf Macro Archive aims to provide a collection of reusable Autoconf macros as free software.

The archive currently features more than 300 macros which perform portability tests ranging from compiler support for weird language extensions to automatic generation of sophisticated Automake rules.

However, all these macros have been contributed by friendly supporters of the cause from all over the Internet; the archive really just collects and distributes them.

WormBase::Archive::Build 0.028

WormBase::Archive::Build 0.028

WormBase::Archive::Build can create archives of Wormbase releases. more>>
WormBase::Archive::Build can create archives of Wormbase releases.

SYNOPSIS

use Bio::GMOD::Admin::Archive;
my $archive = Bio::GMOD::Admin::Archive->new();

$archive->create_archive();

METHODS

Bio::GMOD::Admin::Archive->new(@options)
Create a new WormBase::Archive object for archiving WormBase releases.

The options consist largely of file system and remote paths. If none are provided, they will all be populated from the default file located on the primary WormBase server.

This is the recommended idiom as it insulates your programs from structural changes at WormBase. In this case, archives will be built in /pub/wormbase/RELEASE where RELEASE is a WSXXX release.

There are, however, at least two options that you will wish to provide:

--database_repository Full path where to store archives on your filesystem
--mysql_path Full path to the mysql data dir

See WormBase.pm for additional details on all system-dependent paths that can be overridden.

XArchive 0.2.8-6

XArchive 0.2.8-6

XArchive is a generic front-end that uses external wrappers around command line archiving tools. more>>
XArchive is a generic front end for archives that uses external wrappers around the command line tools. XArchive checks its wrapper directory when it starts, consulting each wrapper found to see what file types are supported.
Thus, a new archive format can easily be supported by just writing a wrapper for it and dropping it in the wrappers directory.
Currently there are bash shell wrappers for: rar, tar, zip, and ace
(ace supported using unace, so only reading and extracting available).
These can easily be copied and modified to have xarchive support other command line tools and file types without having to touch xarchive at all.
Enhancements:
- This version supports adding files to an archive using Drag n Drog, and has a few GUI clean ups.

xDash::Archive::Pg 1.02

xDash::Archive::Pg 1.02

xDash::Archive::Pg is a base class for Archive. more>>
xDash::Archive::Pg is a base class for Archive.

SYNOPSIS

package Archive;
use base xDash::Archive::Pg;
# Set up your own database access parameters
sub SetParameters { shift->SUPER::SetDatabaseConnection(
name => xdash, user => , password => ) }

USAGE

The module is developed in the object orientated way. It can be used as the base class for archiving based on PostgreSQL as persistence. The base class has to implement a fixed set of methods, called by the derived class Archive. Archive is hardcoded in the xDash::Archivist (driver pattern).

For more details, how to set up all the needed components, see the introduction to the deployment: Planning and deploying xDash in a sandbox at http://xdash.jabberstudio.org/deployment/perl. By deriving from the class, as the way of passing arguments, you have to implement explicit methods listed below . The synopsis above is an example of the client script generated by the xdscr.

METHODS

SetDatabaseConnection( name => $database_name, user => $database_user, password => database_password )

Passes the self explanatory parameters to the DBI module, required by xDash::Archivist.

Archive::SelfExtract 1.3

Archive::SelfExtract 1.3

Archive::SelfExtract is a Perl module to bundle compressed archives with Perl code. more>>
Archive::SelfExtract is a Perl module to bundle compressed archives with Perl code.

SYNOPSIS

use Archive::SelfExtract;

# writes output script to STDOUT
Archive::SelfExtract::createExtractor( "perlcode.pl", "somefiles.zip" );

# with various options:
Archive::SelfExtract::createExtractor( "perlcode.pl", "somefiles.zip",
perlbin => "/opt/perl58/bin/perl",
output_fh => $someFileHandle,
);
See also the command line tool, mkselfextract.

Archive::SelfExtract allows you create Perl programs out of compressed zip archives. Given a piece of code and an archive, it creates a single file which, when run, unpacks the archive and then runs the code.

This module provides a function for creating a self-extractor script, a function to unpack the archive, and utility functions for wrapped programs

metazip 0.1

metazip 0.1

metazip project is an Apache 2.0 module that allows you to serve dynamically-constructed, uncompressed zip files. more>>
metazip project is an Apache 2.0 module that allows you to serve dynamically-constructed, uncompressed zip files. Thus, your users can choose to download individual files or entire collections, but you dont have to reserve disk space for both.
Main features:
- Extremely efficient, by hooking into Apaches filter system.
- Works equally well for zip, tar, and other archive files.
- Supports resumption of aborted downloads.
- Lightweight, self-contained C implementation.
- Free, open source license (Apache).
Version restrictions:
- Works for uncompressed archives only.
- Requires command line utility to construct .zip.mz "template" file.
- Currently only supported on Linux with GNU bash, gcc, and make.
metazip works by comparing a real, uncompressed archive to the files it contains. It then constructs a special .mz file that contains the "difference" between the files and the archive. This difference contains the metadata that the archive tool uses to extract the files. metazip does not interpret this metadata; it simply records it in the .mz file. After the .mz file has been created, the original archive file can be deleted. Simply place the newly-created .mz file in the same directory as the files it references. The mz command-line utility takes care of most of the details.
When the .mz file is requested, metazip "glues together" the files and the contents of the .mz file to reconstruct the archive file. Because metazip hooks into Apaches filter system, Apache handles all of the heavy lifting. metazip merely creates some high-level data structures.
Therefore, metazips overhead is practically negligible. In addition, Apaches normal functions for resuming aborted downloads, calculating the content length, setting headers, etc. work identically for static files and for metazips dynamically-generated output.
[Note: The only "catch" is that metazip must be prepared to handle its input in arbitrary-sized chunks (called "bucket brigades" in Apache-speak), even though in practice the input will generally be in one large buffer (because its input is the small .mz file). This is reflected in metazips code structure (in metazip.c), but is completely transparent to you.]

Locale::Maketext::Extract 0.62

Locale::Maketext::Extract 0.62

Locale::Maketext::Extract is a Perl module used to extract translatable strings from source. more>>
Locale::Maketext::Extract is a Perl module used to extract translatable strings from source.

SYNOPSIS

my $Ext = Locale::Maketext::Extract->new;
$Ext->read_po(messages.po);
$Ext->extract_file($_) for ;

# Set $entries_are_in_gettext_format if the .pl files above use
# loc(%1) instead of loc([_1])
$Ext->compile($entries_are_in_gettext_format);

$Ext->write_po(messages.po);

This module can extract translatable strings from files, and write them back to PO files. It can also parse existing PO files and merge their contents with newly extracted strings.

A command-line utility, xgettext.pl, is installed with this module as well.

Following formats of input files are supported:

Perl source files
Valid localization function names are: translate, maketext, gettext, loc, x, _ and __.

HTML::Mason
Strings inside ... and ... are extracted.

Template Toolkit
Strings inside [%|l%]...[%END%] or [%|loc%]...[%END%] are extracted.

Text::Template
Sentences between STARTxxx and ENDxxx are extracted individually.

Generic Template
Strings inside {{...}} are extracted.

Decrypt and Extract Here Service Menu 1.1-4

Decrypt and Extract Here Service Menu 1.1-4

Decrypt and Extract Here Service Menu is a service menu that decrypts and extracts the contents of encrypted tarballs. more>>
Decrypt and Extract Here Service Menu installs a service menu for Konqueror that decrypts and extracts the contents of encrypted tarballs.

Once install, a "Decrypt and Extract Here" entry is added to the Actions context menu in Konqueror. This entry will only appear for the file extensions defined in pgp-tarball.desktop. The following extensions are defined:

*.tar.gz.asc
*.tar.gz.gpg
*.tar.gz.pgp
*.tgz.asc
*.tgz.gpg
*.tgz.pgp

Currently only gzip compressed tar archives are supported. If there is a demand, other compression types (e.g. bzip2, zip, etc.) can be easily added. Simply email the athour and make the request.

Additionally, this RPM will modify the kgpg.desktop file by adding "application/pgp-tarball" to the MimeType entry. This allows encrypted tar archives to be opened by Kgpg (just like any other encrypted file would be).
