Pagelets Technology project allows developers to embed Java scripting elements inside of text documents. more>>
Pagelets Technology project allows developers to embed Java scripting elements inside of text documents in order to generate dynamic text-based output.

The idea and functionality behind Pagelets is very similar to Java Server Pages with one huge difference - Pagelets are not tied to the HTTP protocol. That difference opens up a plethora of new possibilities and uses for the technology.

For example, Pagelets can be used to dynamically render the content of email messages, or as a simple source code generator, or to render dynamic content in any other environment - whether that environment is tied to the HTTP protocol or not. Basically, Pagelets are - JSP without HTTP.

Network Device Change Control 3.10

Network Device Change Control 3.10

Network Device Change Control (NDCC) is a system that monitors and records changes to the configurations of network equipment. more>>
Network Device Change Control (NDCC) is a system that monitors and records changes to the configurations of network equipment.

Network Device Change Control can store configuration snapshots for any text-based configs. It has been used to store configurations from Unix and Linux systems, Cisco routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls, Foundry, NetScreen, Juniper, NetScaler, and others.

It only took a while to realize that router changes should be tracked. I rewrote the system to give a current and once-back system of configurations. Since I was using diff, I decided to leave the diff information in the system. Those diffs were emailed to a group so everyone knew when something was changed, along with what was changed.

Some time later, a bank needed to track configuration files, and the system was upgraded for use within a database. The first implementation was using perl as a CGI script against a PostgreSQL database. The company wanted many changes made for their auditing needs and most of those changes enhanced NDCC. Upgrades to their environment moved things to PHP and MySQL, and the system was rewritten for that environment and the old perl code has since been lost.

Medical Imaging Interaction Toolkit 0.6

Medical Imaging Interaction Toolkit 0.6

Medical Imaging Interaction Toolkit aims at supporting the development of leading-edge medical imaging software. more>>
Medical Imaging Interaction Toolkit (MITK) is currently under active development, and aims at supporting the development of leading-edge medical imaging software with a high degree of interaction. It combines vtk, itk and the pic-based-libraries of the Div.
Main features:
- multiple, consistent views on the same data. For example, when you have three orthogonal 2D-views and a 3D view and data consisting of a green surface, the surface will be visible and green in all views (as contour lines in 2D, as a surface in 3D), and when you move the surface, it will move in all views. When you try to realize this with basic vtk, you will need to coordinate the position/orientation/color/... of all the views somewhere in your program - exactly this can mitk do for you.
- interactions that create and/or modify data (not only actors as in basic vtk)
- complex interactions with multiple states, e.g., for interaction with active contours
- undo/redo of interactions
- organization of data objects in a tree at run-time, e.g., to represent logical dependencies (e.g., a heart cavity is a part of the heart) or to control the rendering process
- additional properties of arbitrary type can be assigned to data objects contained in the data tree
- visualization and interaction with 3D+t data (basic vtk can handle only 3D data and itk is not for visualization and interaction)
- although mitk is mainly a toolkit and not an application, it offers some support on the application-level, e.g, for structured combination of modules (so-called functionalities), e.g., for combining and switching between one functionality for segmentation and another for registration.
Enhancements:
- New functionalities: IsoSurface, ViewInitialization and Measurement.
- Support for ITK 2.4-2.8, VTK 4.4 and 5.0.
- Lots of bugfixes and improvements, e.g. interaction for rotatable slices.

dpkg-changes 1.2

dpkg-changes 1.2

dpkg-changes is a simple script which will report on the packages which have been installed, or uninstalled. more>>
dpkg-changes is a simple script which will report on the packages which have been installed and uninstalled, since the script was last run.

It does this by building up a list of all the packages installed upon your system the first time it is run, then comparing that list against what the system reports whenever it is subsequently run.

The intention is that it can be placed in a crontab file for a user and be run on a daily/weekly basis to give a good idea of what has changed upon the machine.

This is particularly handy when a server is maintained by multiple people, as it allows all admins to be informed when a new package is installed.

PHP EMS Tools 2.0

PHP EMS Tools 2.0

PHP EMS Tools project is a software for volunteer and small paid emergency medical services. more>>
PHP EMS Tools project is a software for volunteer and small paid emergency medical services (EMS) organizations that provides crew scheduling, roster maintenance and printing, rig checks, maintenance reports, and other facilities in an easy-to-use Web-based package.

PHP EMS Tool is a software package for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies. It allows you to maintain a monthly crew schedule, roster, record of apparatus checks, address book, count your members monthly hours, and more. It is designed to be installed on a server on the local network at your headquarters. It *can* be installed on an internet-based host, but this is not suggested, as security is very lax in the current version - it is designed to stop members from casually doing things they shouldnt, not to protect your server from the dangers of the Internet.

The current version incorporates a feature to allow the schedule, roster, and hours count to be visible from the Internet, when configured properly.

PHP EMS Tools is totally free, and open source. It is programmed in the PHP language, which most web servers support. To run PHP EMS Tools, you will need a web server (Apache recommended), the MySQL database server, PHP, and a few other pieces of software. PHP EMS Tools *should* run under any operating system that supports these packages, but is designed to be run under Linux (which is also 100% free and open source). To install PHP EMS Tools, you will need root access to the server, or will need to get the systems administrator to create a database and users for you.
