Missile of Holiday Cheer is a winter holiday vertically oriented flying finesse game.

Missile of Holiday Cheer is a game that revolves around piloting missiles bearing presents from elves workshops up to Santas low-orbiting mothership.

There are five elf groups and a number of powerups, and can be played alone or splitscreen with others.

StartCom Ltd., a small software house located in the south of Israel. The city of Eilat, at the Red Sea, is famous as a tourist resort, but now also, because its the home of StartCom Linux.
StartCom used to develop applications and websites for local and international customers and operates MediaHostï¿1⁄2 since 1999. StartCom is also a specialist for Linux related implementations. The decision to produce StartCom Linux was made in May 2004.
Enhancements:
- Ahead of a busy spring season and in anticipation of new StartCom Enterprise Linux AS-5 and StartCom MultiMedia Edition ML-6 comes an updated release of the Advanced Server 4 series. The fifth release of this enterprise class operating system is the natural combined continuation of the previously released AS-4 distribution, which includes security updates and minor adjustments. Notable are an updated kernel, security updates for PHP, Firefox and Thunderbird, but also some additions and improvements for smart cards and hardware tokens.

Space Commander is a game that aims to be similar to Elite and Privateer, with maybe a bit of Trade Wars thrown in.
The project is a remarkably functional space simulation with under 200 lines of code in the main file.
DEPENDENCIES
You need a recent version of Python and some support libraries. The game is currently being written using Python v 2.4.3 but it may work with newer or older versions with some minor tweaking. I intend to be using Python 2.5 and PyGame 1.8 shortly.

Basically you need a pretty complete Python kit. Most Linux distributions should have everything that you need and Windows / OSX users will be able to install it all with a small bit of effort.
To play the MIDI score in Linux you have to install and configure Timidity due to some old code in sdl-mixer which is a pre-dependency of PyGame. If the game crashes and
complains about midi, just comment out the MIDI line in spacecommander.py to disable it.
As to performance issues. I pass the buck. If it runs too slowly then get a faster computer, better graphics card, better operating system, whatever.
The idea of writing this in Python is to have a compromise between ultimate performance and the ability to understand and tinker around with the code.
You could try reducing the number of stars in the galaxy by editing bigbang.py also.
Feel free to re-write the game in hand optimized assembler, but you must send me a copy of your code per the LICENSE.

Since I am the person who manages the money for our house, I need an efficient way to keep track of our expenses and an easy way to calculate who owes what to whom at the end of the month. There are lots of good free software utilities for managing money like GnuCash, KMyMoney and the wonderful Gnumeric spreadsheet. I had been using Gnumeric to manage the money for the last 8 months, but now that we have some people staying at the house for just the summer, and other leaving and coming back in September, the spreadsheet was not able to adjust to these irregular circumstances.

The reason I decided to write my own application from scratch instead of using an already existing money management application was because my problem is multi-person orientation and most (if not all) of the money management programs I have tried are single-person oriented. For example GnuCash will let you setup accounts that show you all the money moving to and from a single person. But in my house things like food are paid by any person and shared by every other person. Thus to efficiently and easily calculate who owes how much, it must take into account the fact that one pizza may be paid for by one person, but it was eaten by 4 people. Also I dont want to have to divide up the amounts myself and put it into GnuCash with multiple accounts, because then I might as well be doing it on paper.

I could have spent my time learning to make an already existing application do exactly what I want; and I probably would have found something pretty close. But I decided that it would be faster to just program it from scratch and then I would be sure I would get exactly what I wanted. I think I was right; it took less then 2 weeks to finished writing this program.

The program is currently called Adventure Money, but if anyone can think of a better name for it let me know and Ill gladly change it.

Stendhal project is a full fledged multiplayer online adventures game (MMORPG) developed using the Arianne game development system.
Stendhal features a new, rich and expanding world in which you can explore towns, buildings, plains, caves and dungeons.
You will meet NPCs and acquire tasks and quests for valuable experience and cold hard cash.
Your character will develop and grow and with each new level up become stronger and better. With the money you acquire you can buy new items and improve your armour and weapons.

Stendhal is totally platform independent, written using Java 1.5 and the Java2D environment.
This game is marked as BETA. This implies it is still under construction and may contain bugs or be feature incomplete, however it may still be playable so please have a go!
Enhancements:
- Houses in Kobold City (Wofol) have opened their doors, and include a weapons trader and a mountain dwarf who needs errands run.
- Ados Barracks buys good armor, shields, and legs, and Ados haunted house has a basement and a resident ghost who wants to know about other spirits.
- The quartermaster of the Mithrilbourgh army requires boots and helmets.
- A GM /gag command has been added to silence players (it works like /jail), and Push has been added to push players, creatures, etc.
- You can make a wish at Wishing Wells, to get money, gold nuggets, gems, wood, etc.
- Several new creatures for levels 30-90 have been added.
