Image Magazine 1.0
Image Magazine provides a content type which acts both as a folder and as an image. more>>
Image Magazine provides a content type which acts both as a folder and as an image.
You populate it with 2 to 4 images, and optionnaly select a layout.
Options include width, background color, padding and margin, and layout mode.
ImageMag then merges the images into a layout while keeping the aspect ratios.
You can then use and call your ImageMag as a standard ploneImage, this mean you can :
.use instance/image_thumbnail, instance/image_large, and so on suffixes to call its different sizes
.call it directly from kupu to illustrate your articles (see readme.txt)
Works with:
- Plone 2.5.2
- Plone 2.5.1
- Plone 2.5

The Doorman 0.81
The doorman guards the door of a server, manipulating firewall rules to admit only recognized parties. more>>
The doorman guards the door of a server, manipulating firewall rules to admit only recognized parties.
The doorman is intended to run on systems which have their firewall rules turned down tightly enough as to be effectively invisible to the outside world. The doorman adds and removes extra rules in a very controlled manner.
Using metaphor 1...
The doorman daemon "guards the door" of a host, admitting only recognized parties. It allows a server which is not intended for general public access to run with all of its TCP ports closed to the outside world. A matching "knocker" is provided, with which to persuade the doorman to open the door a crack, just wide enough for a single TCP connection from a single IP address.
And now, switching to metaphor 2... :)
A private server thus rigged for silent running has greatly enhanced security. Port scans cannot reveal its existence. Even if its existence is known by other means (or the firewall isnt all that tight), possible bugs in server code cannot be exploited; packets from unknown sources simply never get to the bug.
The current implementation of the doorman, "doormand", is suitable for protecting only TCP services on Unix-type systems. The door-knocker, "knock", can be run under Unix, GNU/Linux, or Microsoft Windows.
The doorman is based on an original idea of Martin Krzywinski, who proposed watching firewall logs for a sequence of packets directed to closed ports, which method he described in Sysadmin magazine and linuxjournal.com.
You might also visit his pages at www.portknocking.org.
This particular implementation deviates a bit from his original proposal, in that the doorman watches for only a single UDP packet. To get the doorman to open up, the packet must contain an MD5 hash which correctly hashes a shared secret, salted with a 32-bit random number, the identifying user or group-name, and the requested service port-number.
Enhancements:
- Added support for linux cooked socket header len; thanks to Markus Hoffmann.
- Fixed guestlist hostname-parsing bug; also thanks to Markus.
- Changed method of remembering old knock hashes, without use of Berkeley DB.
- Kinda-fixed a bug handling pcapnext-returns-null condition. I hope.
- Included lexer.c (flex output from lexer.l) in distribution. Duh.
- Fixed doorman bug when creating new new hashfile; thanks to Robert Koropcak
- No changes made to knock.c; however, it will report being V0.81

HCS Open Source Project Beta
HCS Open Source Project consists of a do-it-yourself home automation hardware and software system. more>>
HCS Open Source Project consists of a do-it-yourself home automation hardware and software system.
The HCS Open Source Project is a stand-alone home automation control system which consists of hardware (main controllers and remote networked controllers) and software to monitor and control various devices around your house.
The current plans support using wired and wireless X10 modules, as well as analog, digital, and voice input and output. Once the HCS is programmed, the use of a PC is not required.
CS stands for Home Control System. Originally designed by Steve Ciarcia for the article "Home Run Control System" for Byte magazine.
What is the HCS II? The HCS II is an expandable, network-based (RS485), intelligent-node, industrial-oriented supervisory control system intended for demanding home control applications.
The HCS incorporates direct and remote digital inputs and outputs, direct and remote analog inputs and outputs, real-time or Boolean decision event triggering, X-10 transmission and reception, infrared remote control transmission and reception, remote LCD displays, and a master console.
The HCS II system architecture consists of a central supervisory controller (SC) connected to up to 32 other functional modules (called links) via a RS485 serial network. The SC and the COMM-Links can operate independently and dont need each other to function.
This allows easy testing or incorporation as intelligent subsystems in other control equipment. Initially the subsystems links all shared a comon 8031 controller board (generically called a COMM-Link) with the I/O customized for each application.

Resolver User Layer Interface 0.36
RULI stands for Resolver User Layer Interface. more>>
RULI stands for Resolver User Layer Interface. Its a library built on top of an asynchronous DNS stub resolver. RULI provides an easy-to-use interface for querying DNS SRV resource records. The goal is to promote wide deployment of SRV-cognizant software. RULI aims to fully support SRV-related standards. There are bindings for PHP, Perl, Guile/Scheme, Java, and Lua. IPv6 is supported.
Now you can understand the benefits of SRV records and please see how RULI can help you.
SRV records are more complex than A records
Handling DNS SRV is not as simple as to deal with ordinary address records. When one performs a query for A records by calling gethostbyname(), he gets a list of addresses which should be contacted in the same order as they were received. For SRV records, there is an additional logic that must be applied to the records, based on their weight and priority, to discover the correct sequence for contacting them.
RULI can handle SRV records for you
The SRV logic is described in RFC 2782. Those who intend to use SRV benefits in their application are expected to implement that exact behavior. RULI can help here: it automatically performs all the SRV logic for you.
Keep focus on your application logic
Application developers probably want to spend time on their business logic; not dealing with the details of the DNS protocol or implementing the SRV specification.
RULI is a tested framework designed to properly fetch SRV records. It saves you time and head aches.
RULI is free as in free beer and in free speech

JChemPaint 2.3.0
JChemPaint is a 2D molecular structure editor. more>>
JChemPaint project is an editor for 2D molecular structures.
JChemPaint is intended to be complementary to Jmol, a visualisation and analysis tool for 3D molecular structures, started by Dan Gezelter at Notre Dame University, initator of the Open Science Project. and, like JChemPaint, developed by an international team of opensource programmers.
Main features:
- JChemPaint is open source OS. It is Free Software. We believe that scientific software, especially when its development was publically funded, should be free. As the GNU people put it: "``Free software is a matter of liberty, not price. To understand the concept, you should think of free speech, not free beer. ". Everyone can participate in the development of the program. Everyone can download and change the source code, provided that he makes the changes publicly available again, according to the GNU Lesser General Public License, LGPL. This ensures that the community can take advantage of any bugfix/enhancement made to the system.
- It also ensures that a scientist, who needs a standard piece of software like a structure editor as a helper application in her new program, does not have to reinvent the wheel over and over again because all the structure editors that have been written before are now proprietory software. If there is a free structure editor, she can focus on the real science.
- JChemPaint is not complete :-). Honestly, it can still use a lot of development (see below).
- Since JChemPaint is written in Java it runs on any computing platform and operating system for which a Java Virtual Machine (of version >= 2) has been implemented (like Linux, Windows 95/98/NT, Solaris, AIX and others).
- JChemPaint is avaiblable free of charge.
- JChemPaint is translated into several languages: Dutch, French, German and Polish.
Enhancements:
- This release is a build from the latest of CDK SVN.
- It adds InChI support and a SMILES entering field with memory.
- Many bugs were fixed, and the program should be faster too.

Freenet 0.7
Freenet is free software which lets you publish and obtain information on the Internet without fear of censorship. more>>
Freenet software lets you publish and obtain information on the Internet without fear of censorship. To achieve this freedom, the network is entirely decentralized and publishers and consumers of information are anonymous. Without anonymity there can never be true freedom of speech, and without decentralization the network will be vulnerable to attack.
Communications by Freenet nodes are encrypted and are "routed-through" other nodes to make it extremely difficult to determine who is requesting the information and what its content is.
Users contribute to the network by giving bandwidth and a portion of their hard drive (called the "data store") for storing files. Unlike other peer-to-peer file sharing networks, Freenet does not let the user control what is stored in the data store. Instead, files are kept or deleted depending on how popular they are, with the least popular being discarded to make way for newer or more popular content. Files in the data store are encrypted to reduce the likelihood of prosecution by persons wishing to censor Freenet content.
The network can be used in a number of different ways and isnt restricted to just sharing files like other peer-to-peer networks. It acts more like an Internet within an Internet. For example Freenet can be used for:
Publishing websites or freesites
Communicating via message boards
Content distribution
Unlike many cutting edge projects, Freenet long ago escaped the science lab, it has been downloaded by over 2 million users since the project started, and it is used for the distribution of censored information all over the world including countries such as China and the Middle East.
Ideas and concepts pioneered in Freenet have had a significant impact in the academic world. Our 2000 paper "Freenet: A Distributed Anonymous Information Storage and Retrieval System" was the most cited computer science paper of 2000 according to Citeseer, and Freenet has also inspired papers in the worlds of law and philosophy. Ian Clarke, Freenets creator and project coordinator, was selected as one of the top 100 innovators of 2003 by MITs Technology Review magazine.
Enhancements:
- This release operates over UDP rather than TCP.
- It can transparently operate through firewalls.
- The core architecture and algorithm have been redesigned for simplicity and efficiency.
- A new and even simpler API allowing the rapid development of third party software that interacts with Freenet has been added.

Maypole::FormBuilder 0.44
Maypole::FormBuilder is a Perl module with CGI::FormBuilder support in Maypole. more>>
Maypole::FormBuilder is a Perl module with CGI::FormBuilder support in Maypole.
SYNOPSIS
use Maypole::Application qw( FormBuilder QuickTable );
BeerFB->config->model( Maypole::FormBuilder::Model );
Maypole provides a great framework for simplifying the interaction between a UI and a database. But it provides very little support for simplifying the interface itself. Programmers are left to construct each form, widget by widget, using modules that dont support important form use cases, such as what to do when a form submits nothing for an empty field.
CGI::FormBuilder already supports this and many, many other forms use cases. And it provides validation methods, multiform support, and automatically generated Javascript validation code. And plenty more.
This distribution uses Class::DBI::FormBuilder to generate the metadata required to automatically build FormBuilder forms from CDBI classes and objects.
The distribution includes:
Maypole::FormBuilder
Introductory documentation only.
Maypole::Plugin::FormBuilder
as_form, search_form and as_forms methods for the Maypole request object.
Maypole::Plugin::FormBuilder.
Maypole::FormBuilder::Model
A model class based on Class::DBI. Note that this model does not inherit from Maypole::Model::CDBI.
Maypole::FormBuilder::Model.
Maypole::FormBuilder::Model::Base
Model methods that do not depend on the CDBI backend. Models based on a different persistence layer may wish to inherit from this class.
Maypole::FormBuilder::Model::Base.
templates
A new set of templates for the Beer database. These are considerably simpler than the BeerDB templates.
templates-mason Mason templates
templates-tt TT templates, donated by Ron McClain
Note that the templates also need Maypole::Plugin::QuickTable.
Also note, TT users must bless an object called mclass into $request->model_class and add it to the template vars in additional_data(). This is to make moniker work, which will always return Proxy if if you do [% mclass = Class(request.model_class) %] because Class creates a Proxy object around the model class.

Mobile Web Proxy is a (CGI) tool to make more Web pages available from some mobile devices (cell phone Web browsers, etc.).
When I began using my cell phones mobile web browser, one of the things I realized was that there were a lot of web pages that my cell phones web browser simply wouldnt let me see. My shiny new Motorola Razr from T-Mobile, for many pages, would display an error message like "413: Page cannot be displayed." It happened annoyingly often; browsing the web from my cell phone was a lot like trying to read a book or a magazine with large chunks simply ripped out. And when I tried troubleshooting, I might have missed something, but it seemed like a big problem without an easily available solution.
So I tried to provide my own solution. I made a proxy that would present webpages for the mobile web so that they would display in a way that would work for my cell phones web browser. Technologies include paging, tag cleaning, and optional caching to improve performance, but without getting into technical details, this means that I can access some pages on the web that I couldnt access earlier.
Enhancements:
- A bug that caused the script to spuriously report 404 errors was fixed.
- A smaller default page size was set so that tag-rich pages would be rendered in a way more likely to be displayable on mobile Web browsers.

The meticulously crafted software packages that compose tinysofa, coupled with a focus on security, stability and manageability make it the only completely free Linux solution suitable for enterprise use.
The global network of independent consultants supporting tinysofa aims to level the playing field with the commercial providers of Linux solutions and most importantly, foster local economic growth.
tinysofa is currently used in a vast array of real time business systems that require the utmost in security and stability. From VPN end points, firewalls, bridges and network IDS to application servers and database workhorses, tinysofa has proven itself up to the task.
The 1.x release series will maintain platform stability throughout its lifetime, with ongoing incremental enhancements and security fixes and a minor release every six months. This release series will also be available for the x86_64 hardware platform.
The 2.x release series will feature the Linux 2.6 kernel and will be fully architected around the SELinux security framework. This release series will bring about support for a wider range of hardware platforms, such as ppc64 and sparc32/64.
Enhancements:
- tinysofa classic server 2.0 Update 6 (Ceara) is now generally available. This release focuses on bug and security fixes, integrates all released security fixes, and updates various packages (notably the kernel) to the more recent upstream releases. Ceara features: The Linux 2.6.16 kernel, grsecurity support, APT and SmartPM for advanced package management, the next generation PHP 5 environment (5.0.4), OpenSSH 4.3p2, high availability features such as DRBD (0.7.17) and UCARP (1.1), the latest development tools and languages (gcc 3.4.3, Python 2.4.2), and much more.
<<lesstinysofa aims to become the de facto community run server oriented Linux distribution, and therefore fill an ever growing void in the availability of a free (as in beer and speech) Linux solution that is deployable in mission critical roles throughout the enterprise.

Unreal Tournament 2004 BONUS MEGAPACK contains many missions for Unreal Turnament 2004.
This pack is our way of saying "Thanks" for purchasing UT2004. We hope you enjoy it!
This bonus pack includes everything you need to update UT2004 to the most current version, including the latest patch, and the content from the first (Editors Choice Edition) bonus pack for UT2004. You can install this bonus pack on any version of UT2004.
The MegaPack includes the following maps:
Assault:
AS-BP2-Acatana
Intense space fighting and on-foot combat combine in this recreation of the historic Skaarj invasion of the Acatana asteroid belt.
AS-BP2-Jumpship
Be part of the elite team that infiltrated and hijacked the first warp capable Jumpship.
AS-BP2-Outback
City slickers just took over the outback’s top brewery – get over there pronto and stop the production of their tasteless Zero Beer before it takes over Oz!
AS-BP2-SubRosa
Fight your way into a Liandri research facility and steal the original plans for the Redeemer.
AS-BP2-Thrust
A recreation of the infamous destruction of the Saturn IX rocket where a team of rebel fighters launched it unguided and half fueled into hostile waters.
CTF:
CTF-BP2-Concentrate
Tall spires tower over this Capture the Flag battle set on a derelict outpost deep in the Elorean Seas.
CTF-BP2-Pistola
This twin complex of concrete and metal combines the beauty of nature with the harsh lines of industrial architecture to create a fierce battle arena.
Deathmatch:
DM-BP2-Calandras

DM-BP2-GoopGod
For centuries the Nali monks managed to keep this sacred burial ground hidden until Liandri satellites discovered the location during a routine satellite sweep. The area was mined, and what remained was converted into a tournament arena, corpses and all.
The content from the first bonuspack, also included, is:
Onslaught:
ONS-Adara
ONS-IslandHop
ONS-Tricky
ONS-Urban
Three new vehicles:
SPMA (Self Propelled Mobile Artillery)
The SPMA is a two person vehicle, with the driver controlling a long range artillery piece. Alt-fire deploys the spotter camera. Enemies will want to shoot down the spotter camera as soon as they see it, to keep the SPMA from raining destruction from afar. An AVRiL at the spotter camera will automatically re-direct toward the SPMA if it ever becomes visible to the AVRiL.
Paladin
The Paladin is a defense focused vehicle, with a powerful energy projectile cannon and a defensive shield alt-fire. Firing the cannon while the shield is deployed will heavily damage nearby players.
Cicada
The two-man Cicada ground attack bomber is a powerful weapon against ground targets, but is easy prey for Raptors. The pilot can fire missiles, or use the alt-fire to specify a target. While holding alt-fire, multiple missiles are loaded up, and released when alt-fire is released. These missiles will all track toward the specified target location, so the alt-fire can be used to avoid enemy fire while loading up missiles. The second seat in the Cicada is an energy beam turret located on the belly of the Cicada. Its alt-fire is chaff that can be used to confuse incoming AVRiLs.
Six new characters:
Mekkor (Skaarj)
Mekkor is from the Black Fist Clan, sworn enemies of the Iron Skull Clan. Severely injured in battle, he is testing his new cybernetic armor in the Tournament.
Skrilax (Skaarj)
Skrilax is from the Black Fist Clan, sworn enemies of the Iron Skull Clan. Alongside his brother Mekkor, he was severely injured while fighting the Iron Skull Clan."
Barktooth (Iron Guard)
Barktooth would rather rip an opponent to shreds with his bare hands than fight from afar. He also finds close range Flak shots very satisfying."
Karag (Iron Guard)
Before joining the Iron Guard, Karag honed his weapon handling skills during a long stint as a Marshall for the Terran Colonial Authority. His style and panache already have the the Tournament audience abuzz."
Kragoth (Necris)
After an absence of several years, the Necris are preparing a return to the Tournament. Known as the Star Slayer, Kragoth is a dread Necris Phayder assassin. He is rumored to have single handedly killed the entire crew of an ICV Star Cruiser."
Thannis (Necris)
After an absence of several years, the Necris are preparing a return to the Tournament. Thannis is participating to scout the competition."
