Linksys Monitor provides a Linksys logging and dynamic DNS IP update utility.
Linksys Monitor is a POSIX-compliant application used to monitor and react to device activity of Cisco Linksys devices.
Main features:
- logging of all inbound and outbound network connections to a file (with negative filtering capabilities)
- email notification of any inbound and outbound network connection (with negative filtering capabilities)
- IP address updates to DNS services (dynamic DNS) when the device IP address changes
- email notification of IP address changes
- periodic validation and DNS service updates of the device IP address (via Web)
- highly and easily configurable, but with a very good set of default values.
Enhancements:
- Code cleanup and consolidation.
- Fixed a number of bugs related to the parsing of html responses in web IP checks and IP address updates.
- Removed the manner in which the IP address is determined from the logs. This proved too unreliable and caused to many false positives. Now it determines the IP address solely from the web mannner.
- Fixed an issue when running it on a SUSE box (recvfrom() socket call not supported).

Shell SYStem Monitor a basic console ncurses application for system monitoring.
Shell SYStem Monitor will show things like CPU load, memory load, uptime, Ethernet load (bandwidth usage in KB/s), server time, and more.
Install code:
# cd ssysm
# make
(as root)
# make install
Uninstall code:
(as root)
# make uninstall
Enhancements:
- There was a bug which occurred when outgoing bandwidth exceeds 2GiB, in which the TX bandwidth stays at 0 and TX byte counter sticks to 2GiB.
- This has finally been fixed. However, the byte count still resets to 0 when the interface exceeds 4GiB.

Bubbling Load Monitor Applet 2.0.5

Bubbling Load Monitor Applet 2.0.5

The Bubbling Load Monitor (or Bubblemon for short) is a system CPU and memory load monitor. more>>
The Bubbling Load Monitor (or "Bubblemon" for short) is a system CPU and memory load monitor.
It displays something that looks like a vial containing water. The water level indicates how much memory is in use. The color of the liquid indicates how much swap space is used (watery blue means none and angry red means all).
The system CPU load is indicated by bubbles floating up through the liquid; lots of bubbles means high CPU load. If you have unread mail, a message in a bottle falls into the water.
Enhancements:
- The word "bytes" may now be translated.
- The French translation was updated.
- The maintainers e-mail address was updated.

Blitzed Open Proxy Monitor 3.1.3

Blitzed Open Proxy Monitor 3.1.3

Blitzed Open Proxy Monitor or BOPM, is an open source open proxy monitor. more>>
Blitzed Open Proxy Monitor or BOPM, is an open source open proxy monitor, designed for use with hybrid-based ircds, although it can be used with slight modification on any server which has the ability to show connects to opers and that supports KLINEs.
BOPM is known to work without modification on the following ircds:
- Bahamut (tested with 1.4.28, 1.4.30)
- Hybrid (tested with 2.8/hybrid-5.3p8, ircd-hybrid-6.3 and ircd-hybrid-7)
- ircd-ratbox (tested with > 2.1.8)
- charybdis (tested with > 2.0.0)
- Unreal (tested with 3.1.2 and 3.2)
- Dancer (tested with 1.0.31)
- TR-IRCD
- IRCu
- Ultimate (tested with UltimateIRCd 2.8.8 and 3.0.0.b3) - please note, earlier versions of Ultimate IRCD are not supported
- LiquidIRCd (tested with 1.0.4)
- InspIRCd (known to work with 1.0 and 1.1 version branches - instructions are given here)
Please note that BOPM will not work with older versions of Unreal without modifying Unreal to send the clients IP address in a connection notice. Patches are also available for download. On the latest versions of Unreal this is no longer needed. Remember for all Unreal versions you must set the perform line correctly (documented in the config file).
How does it work?
When a client connects to the IRC server, BOPM scans the client for open proxies. It then determines whether they are really open by using them to connect back to the server.
How does BOPM improve on first generation scanners (wgmon, tcm, oomon)?
It extends them by adding support for SOCKS4, SOCKS5, WinGate, HTTP proxies, insecure Cisco routers, simultaneous connections, and a more scalable model (written in C). BOPM also has support for a DNS blacklist, similar to MAPS RBL+ or Visi RSL
BOPM is in use without issue on servers receiving over 400 connections per minute during normal real-world operation (as in, regular client load excluding bursts and attacks). That is 7 user connections per second, enough for even the largest of IRC servers.
Additionally, BOPM contains the ability to match hosts against a DNS blacklist such as DroneBL or your own custom list, it can also submit new proxies that are found via email if the list accepts them.
Enhancements:
- This version was fixed to work with GCC 4 and various other cleanups.

Linux Bandwidth Monitor 1.3

Linux Bandwidth Monitor 1.3

Linux Bandwidth Monitor (bwmon) is yet another utility that measures bandwidth utiliazation per interface basis. more>>
Linux Bandwidth Monitor (bwmon) is yet another utility that measures bandwidth utiliazation per interface basis. It is coded in C and takes advantage of POSIX thread and curses library. It runs only on Linux systems since the utility reads /proc/net/dev and /proc/uptime.

The utility reads /proc/net/dev and /proc/uptime files in order to print out bandwidth usage at user selected intervals, maximum bandwidth usage since initialization of the utility and average bandwidth usage since the last reboot. This is done based on network interface.

Tested on Linux 2.2.x, 2.4.x and 2.5.x, SuSE and RedHat distributions.
To compile, simply say
$ make
To install, say (optional)
# make install
Or copy bwmon binary where ever you want.
