Happy Camel is intended to combine your digital camera with your GPS device. It you feed it a list of digital photos and a tracklog, it figures out where these images were taken.

Happy Camel can embed this position in the EXIF-data of your photos and create a .kmz file for Google Earth displaying your photos at the right positions along the tracklog.

Usage:
Happy Camel is a command-line tool, in which you should basically provide a directory with images and the position on your disk of a tracklog file. Running happycamel --help should provide you with all the necessary information.

Now what?
So, your pictures have their GPS-coordinates embedded. Now what? Good question.
Of course you can have Happy Camel make a nice Google Earth file which shows a smalle version of your images in ther proper place. There are also several other resources which could display your images on a map, like Yuan.cc and Flickrmap, which require to have your photos on Flickr.

Theres currently a lot going on around GPS and photos. More options will probably present themselves.

mod_iptos can set IPTOS values on outgoing packets to assist traffic shaping.

I wanted bandwidth control for a few virtual hosts, but i did not like the userland methods -- they were inaccurate and buggy. I wanted to take advantage of the linux kernel traffic shaping which i was already using for managing my bandwidth costs. All i needed was a way to "paint" some packets from the webserver so that the traffic shaper could handle them appropriately.

I chose to abuse the IPTOS bits ("type of service") to do this. Userland is able to select IPTOS bits via setsockopt. This gives a communication channel between the webserver and the traffic shaper, and makes me happy.

And so mod_iptos was born.

Ive since learned that IPTOS are being updated/replaced by something called DIFFSERV... and it sounds cool. But since my hack is in place and working i havent been motivated to go the next step with this module.

Argus Monitoring System software is a system and network monitoring application.
It will monitor nearly anything you ask it to monitor (TCP + UDP applications, IP connectivity, SNMP OIDS, Programs, Databases, etc).
It presents a nice clean, easy to view web interface that will keep both the managers happy (Red Bad. Green Good.) and the techs happy ("Ah! thats what the problem is").
It can send alerts numerous ways (such as via pager) and can automatically escalate if someone falls asleep.

ToscanaJ is a Java reimplementation of the classic Formal Concept Analysis frontend Toscana. It was built using software development techniques like MVC architecture and XML based files to provide more flexibilty for implementation of new features.

Since ToscanaJ is a pure viewer/browser for conceptual schemas and optimized for a non-technical audience, it comes with additional tools for creating the data displayed and to offer additional, more technical analysis capabilities. The four main tools are:

An editor for conceptual schemas on relational databases. Database-aware and offering extra tools like exporting SQL scripts.

Siena

In many ways similar to Elba (mostly thanks to shared code), Siena edits conceptual schemas that store their data in memory.

An experimental editor that is supposed to make use out of implication analysis of SQL clauses to allow very explorative and intuitive creation of database-connected systems.

With the 1.0 release ToscanaJ and Elba have reached a feature set that allows using them in concrete applications. This is a very important milestone for the project, since we expect to get a user base and thereby a lot of feedback about our work. Siena and Lucca are not as advanced, although Siena is already used in some research environments. We expect Siena to be an official part of the releases quite soon, while Lucca is very experimental and might never be an official product.

Paketto Keiretsu is a collection of tools that use new and unusual strategies for manipulating TCP/IP networks.
They tap functionality within existing infrastructure and stretch protocols beyond what they were originally intended for.
It includes Scanrand, an unusually fast network service and topology discovery system, Minewt, a user space NAT/MAT router, Linkcat, which presents a Ethernet link to stdio, Paratrace, which traces network paths without spawning new connections, and Phentropy, which uses OpenQVIS to render arbitrary amounts of entropy from data sources in three dimensional phase space.

Tux Typing is an educational typing tutor for children. Tux Typing features several different types of gameplay, at a variety of difficulty levels.

Tuxtyping 2 is almost a complete rewrite! It has something for everyone no matter who or where you are! If youre a gamer it even comes with two built in easter eggs! A large amount of time was spent with four goals in mind, make the game code clean, make it easy to translate, make it more fun to play and make it a better tool for those who have the more serious side of typing in mind. Tuxtyping 2 runs better and more consistently on a larger range of machines.

Developers
Tuxtyping 2 has a brand new file structure. The code itself has undergone deep surgery. Its faster, cleaner and easier to understand!

Teachers
Teachers will find the new Tuxtyping to be a more moldable tool they can use in there classrooms. It is easier now (and will become even easier) to group the types of exercises, words and characters into a lesson! We need alot of help here, ideas for the lessons/tutorials seem to be few and far between. (tho Jess does have some good ones!) Wed still like more.

Parents
