hamsterdb is a database engine written in ANSI C. hamsterdb supports a B+Tree index structure, uses memory mapped I/O (if available), and can create in-memory databases.
Main features:
- B+Tree index with variable length keys
- Configurable page size and cache size
- ANSI-C implementation, should be portable on all platforms, also embedded
- Uses memory mapped I/O for fast disk access (but falls back to read/write if mmap is not available)
- Uses 64bit file pointers
- Endian-independent (not tested, though)

Enhancements:
- This release implements "record number" databases; these databases behave like "auto-increment" tables in SQL.
- The keys of new records are automatically assigned and incremented with each insert.
- Also, a few minor bugs were fixed, and some optimizations took place; the generated database files are much smaller now.

CapiSuite is an ISDN telecommunication suite providing easy to use telecommunication functions which can be controlled from Python scripts. Currently, mainly voice functions and fax sending/receiving are supported. CapiSuite is Open Source under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL).
It uses a CAPI-compatible driver for accessing the ISDN-hardware, so youll need an Eicon or AVM card with the according driver.
CapiSuite is distributed with some scripts that are providing a multi user answering machine with automatic fax recognition, remote inquiry and fax send/receive functions.

AreaEdit is a formVista compatible fork of the rapidly developing Xinha project. AreaEdit project is the code that is generated by the formVista FVML < htmleditor > tag during rendering.
Xinha itself is a fork of the original HTMLArea component created by Mihai Bazon and sponsored by Interactivetools. AreaEdit maintains the original HTMLArea (modified BSD) license and is free to use.
While it is designed to work within formVista without modification, AreaEdit does not requre formVista. It is a fully functional editor component supporting a number of plugins and can as easily be used as a standalone editor component for any PHP web application.
The primary difference between AreaEdit and Xinha is one of focus. The Xinha project aims to be a rapidly developing feature-filled editor with many plugins.
By contrast, AreaEdit takes a slower minimalists approach. It aims first and foremost to be functional and maintainable. The feature set we are focusing on is targeted squarely at the serious non-technical business user. Business users dont care about the nuances of HTML
and

tags, they just want the editor to work as they would expect.
If your audience is primarly composed to developers or those familar with HTML, you should take a look at Xinha.
AreaEdit is known to work with MSIE 5.5 or later and any modern Gecko based browsers. (FireFox, Mozilla).

formVista is an open-source dual-licensed PHP component framework for the rapid creation of advanced business web applications that run in commodity hosting environments. formVista purpose is to help web development companies do more, faster, with less staff.
The framework implements the formVista Markup Language (a.k.a. FVML), an XML dialect that brings reusability and role separation to web development projects by combining HTML, SQL, client side Javascript (including AJAX), validation rules, authentication and business logic into completely self-contained components.
Components may be as simple as a columnar report or as complex as a multi-user discussion forum. Once built in FVML, components can be placed by relatively junior web designers onto any properly configured PHP web page as if it were any other kind of content.

phpwebtools are meant to be a collection of useful tools and classes to help in the construction of "enterprise" web applications.
Many classic GUI "widgets", such as the GTK "notebook" are implemented here as extensible classes. Please note that it requires PHP 4.0 or higher, although it may work with later versions of PHP 3.0.x (this is unconfirmed).

Apwal is a simple application launcher for Linux together with a powerful editor. Apwal is developed under the GPL Licence. It is written in C and use the GTK+ toolkit for the graphical interface and XML format to save the settings.
Bind Apwal with the right button of mouse. When Apwal is launched it displays icons around the cursor with transparency. Then simply select the application you want to use.
Apwal Editor is an easy to use graphical interface to configure the Launcher. A powerful Icon Selector help you to locate your icons. A lots of filters are available to simplify the search: by extension, resolution, icon name filter with wildcard, ability to process directory recusively, etc

- plenty of good changes have been integrated into gtk2. Use now glib timeouts, gobject closure marshaler, gtk draw_rectangle does not require a padding of 2px in cereimg anymore. Get rid of apwal_file_selection and replace it by gtk file_chooser which allows to select a directory eventually and not only files.
- add option --config i to apwal. Its now possible to create an icon calling recusively Apwal with another config file. It provides a simple way to create submenus (Thanks Bill for the idea).
