Gcount 0.9 RC1
GCount is a graphical web counter and logging script. more>>
GCount is a graphical web counter and logging script. I developed GCount because I wanted a graphical web counter for a page I was working on. I wanted one that I had some control over, one that offered some flexibilty.
I wrote GCount from the ground up to be functional and quick. I hope that is what is has become.
Main features:
- 100% PHP
- Uses the super small and fast SQLite library
- Many different type faces to choose from
- Reporting available for each counter, know who visits your site!
- FAST! On my 700mhz machine it takes .02 seconds to make a counter
Enhancements:
- Added PDO support for people that have that. That includes SQLite and much requested MySQL. Technically any PDO driver should work but SQLite and MySQL are the only tested ones right now.
- Better debugging if something does go wrong
- Removed a duplicate counter thanks to Scott Stevensons good eye.

oz2remind 0.2
oz2remind is a tool to convert OpenZaurus Opie calendar XML files to Remind format. more>>
oz2remind is a tool to convert OpenZaurus Opie calendar XML files to Remind format.
Its a small but useful Perl script to convert the datebook.xml file used by the calendar app in OpenZaurus Opie to Remind format.
About Remind:
Remind is a sophisticated calendar and alarm program. It includes the following features:
- A sophisticated scripting language and intelligent handling of exceptions and holidays.
- Plain-text, PostScript and HTML output.
- Timed reminders and pop-up alarms.
- A friendly graphical front-end for people who dont want to learn the scripting language.
- Facilities for both the Gregorian and Hebrew calendars.
- Support for 12 different languages.
About OpenZaurus:
The OpenZaurus project was created as an alternative Operating System for the Sharp Zaurus Personal Mobile Tool. The original purpose behind the project was to create a system (kernel + root filesystem) which was a bit closer to what the developer community specifically desired. The method by which this was accomplished was simply to use the Sharp ROM as a base and make alterations, bugfixes, additions and even removals, where necessary, to make the package more open.
Shortly after this, it was revamped completely. OpenZaurus was then a Debian based embedded distribution built from source, from the ground up. Given its debian roots, it is quite similar to other embedded Debian-based distributions, such as Familiar for the Ipaq. This means of doing things also facilitates an easy method for users to build their own custom system images.
Current Versions of OpenZaurus are built from the OpenEmbedded Build system, this was again a complete rebuild of the entire distribution from scratch.

microdc 0.11.0
microdc is a command-line based Direct Connect client that uses GNU readline for user interaction. more>>
microdc is a command-line based Direct Connect client that uses the GNU Readline library for user interaction. microdc was developed from ground up and does not depend on any other program. Despite the command-line user interface, microdc was designed to be user friendly and simple to use.
microdc is currently in beta state - there may be many bugs not yet discovered. It also lacks some features that other clients support, such as file hashing, multiple hub connections, and hub list support.
microdc is free software - it is licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL). It is written in C by Oskar Liljeblad, and is designed to compile and run on modern POSIX compatible systems such as Linux.
Main features:
- Nearly full support of the original Direct Connect protocol.
- GNU Readline support.
- Sensible tab-completion of commands, user names, local files, remote files, speed names, and connection names.
- One process per connection for optimal transfer rates.
- Small memory footprint (I think).

ProFTPD 1.3.1rc1
ProFTPD - A full-featured and extremely fast FTP server for UNIX-like systems. more>>
ProFTPD developed out of the desire to have a secure and configurable FTP server, and out of a real admiration for the Apache web server.
There are currently a very limited number of FTP servers running on Unix (or Unix-like) hosts. The most commonly used server is wu-ftpd. While wu-ftpd provides excellent performance and is generally a good product, it lacks numerous features found in newer Win32 FTP servers and has a poor security history.
Many people, including the developers who work on ProFTPD, have spent a great deal of time fixing bugs and hacking features into wu-ftpd. Unfortunately, it quickly became clear that a complete redesign was necessary in order to implement the configurability and features desired.
ProFTPD is not a hack based on any other server, its an independent source tree from the ground up. A number of well known and high traffic sites use ProFTPD.

Zeps Dreamland 1.02
Zeps Dreamland is a block-building platformer. more>>
Zeps Dreamland is a block-building platformer.
The game consists of navigating Zep throughout a level to reach a certain location which allows him to advance to the next level. This is not such an easy task, however. Many obstacles will be in your path, and it is up to you to determine the best (and sometimes only way) to get around them.
Zep has the ability to create special "blocks" by using the life energy from the ground he is standing on. By building the blocks in specific patterns, Zep can alter the landscape to his ability thus allowing him to reach his goal! Again, not everything is as it seems.
Zep cannot build blocks while standing on top of just anything. There are many types of ground that restrict Zeps building ability. In addition to being able to create these special blocks, Zep can also destroy them.

CATSRunner 20050922
CATSRunner is a unit testing framework. more>>
CATSRunner is a unit testing framework.
C Automated Testing System (CATS) and its associated test runner (Catsrunner) implement a unit testing framework that provides developers of C-based systems, including embedded systems, the capability to use the popular test driven development approach.
CATS supports embedded cross-platform development by working in conjunction with hardware abstraction layers. CATS also comes with a thin wrapper around arm-elf-gdbs host/target communication functions.
A reference implementation for the ARM-7 CPU core is provided.
Main features:
- Catsrunner was built from the ground up for cross-platform embedded software development.
- Its all written in ANSI C (yes, C++ can do more, but many embedded teams are using C).
- This software is actively maintained - we at Agile Rules built it for our own use.
- Its easy to add new target platforms. It builds now for PC and for ARM Evaluator7T board.
- Catsrunner supports Test Driven Development (and Behavior Driven Development).
- Catsrunner has been tested from its inception on real embedded hardware.
- Its been released under the GPL as open source software
Includes:
- CATS and Catsrunner
- Several other software modules that provide facilities often needed for embedded software development, and abstract hardware to aid easy porting to different architectures.
- A build framework capable of building all of the software in the distribution on different platforms.
- A sample application (appexample) using many of the modules as an example of how the software in the framework fits together.
- A template application (apptemplate), mostly empty, to use as a starting point for new applications added to the framework.
- Unit tests for all included modules and applications

Ofnibot 1.0
Ofnibot is a reincarnation of Kevin Lenzos Infobot in minimalist form. more>>
Ofnibot is a reincarnation of Kevin Lenzos Infobot in minimalist form. Kevin Lenzos Infobot program (http://www.infobot.org/) is an awesome IRC bot that is used on many IRC channels around the world.
Unfortunately, Infobot has become somewhat large in its old age. Since I maintain a number of IRC channels that require an information bot, my goal was to create an Infobot-compatible bot from the ground up. This bot is fast, secure, and modern.
The core function of the Infobot is to store a knowledge base of "factoids" or facts about things. The knowledge base can then be accessed and updated using common English phrases.
Ofnibot (Ofni = Info spelled backwards) is meant to provide that same core functionality without the bloat of the Infobot code. Ofnibot uses the modern POE::Component::IRC module to interface with IRC and, more importantly, it uses commands and files that are fully compatible with the original Infobot. The entire program comes in at just over 300 lines of Perl.
Because Ofnibot was programmed from the ground up and does not use any of the Infobot code, I cannot guarantee it behaves exactly the same when responding to users. It does, however, provide an exact subset of Infobot commands and can use the exact same database files as the Infobot. It can easily work as a drop-in replacement.

Netrok 0.95
Netrok is a GPL open source SDL game for linux and Windows. more>>
Netrok is a GPL open source SDL game for linux and Windows. It`s a platform game like Super Mario, but it is not a clone. Netrok has a new, fast and unique gameplay with some puzzle passages, where you have to think, how to proceed.
In Netrok you jump on small buttons on the ground and upgrade your player and depending of this upgrade you have to destroy the enemies different, and you have to react fast.
Also Netrok has a very complex score system and you get score for everything well done and you loose score for actions, which makes gameplay easier. E.g. you can throw a level jump`in flag and if you die, you can replay level from the position of this flag, but it costs 1000 score to place the flag, and you have only once the possibility to throw it and you have to deliberate about where to place it, if you place it to early, you have to replay much more than if you place it later in the level, which is also risky, because you could die before.
Main features:
- very portable source code
- resolution 320*200
- 1 level is 20 screens big, with 13*20 tiles per screen
- 20 levels full of fun
- 8 different enemies
- Leveleditor
- Retro Feeling
- Netrok can be upgraded
- new unique game design
- funny gameplay instead of super graphics and effects
- midi music and sound
- compley score system

Heroes 0.21
Heroes project is a Nibbles-like game, just better. more>>
Heroes project is a Nibbles-like game, just better.
Heroes is similar to the "Tron" and "Nibbles" games of yore, but includes many graphical improvements and new game features.
In it, you must maneuver a small vehicle around a world and collect powerups while avoiding obstacles, your opponents trails, and even your own trail.
There are five game modes available. Quest is the classical Nibbles, in Death Match you start with very long tails and must kill your opponents, in Killem All you must run over lemmings moving on the ground, in Time Cash or Color modes you must collect money or pyramids of color. Heroes features 12 original sound tracks, 94 levels (in 10 different tile sets) plus a level editor.
Heroes source code (distributed under the GNU General Public Licence version 2) originates from an original MS-DOS game but has been heavily modified to enhance the portability. Some new features have been added and MS-DOS support has been lost by the meantime. The original MS-DOS version can still be found on the Internet but is unmaintained and should be considered obsolete.
The current development concentrates on cleaning the code and porting the game to the various operating systems available. Our objective is to release the version 1.0 as a clean and portable base that would allow significant additions such as network support or programmable vehicles.
Enhancements:
- Support for the heroes-hq-sound-tracks package.
Bug fixes:
- soundconf: failed to override aliases.
- Heroes GGI driver failed to report an error if no two-frame mode was available.
- Various code nits.
