SVG charter is a project to build a tool to generate charts and graphs with SVG output to allow fully scalable data visualization.
The application came about after my personal frustration with not being able to read tiny GIF charts accurately.
Couldnt be simpler, though. You must run SVG Charter in the directory where the charting modules live. To change which charting module the engine uses, change the "require" call on line 62 of the charter.pl engine code. Then just run the code as follows:
./charter.pl [datafile in CSV format] > thechart.svg
The data file must be in a CSV format with the first row as headings and the subsequent rows as numeric data. Have a look at the data.csv file that comes packaged for an example.
SVG CHARTER LIMITATIONS
Right now the SVG Charter emits a fixed-aspect ratio graph.
SVG Charter can only emit a graph which is limited to 4 data series. There is no technical limitation on the number of data points, but 100 seems to be a practical limitation of whats easily readable.
SVG Charter currently emits fixed color schemes.
SVG Charter cannot configure the Legend location

DebtPayoff is an application which can help you pay off your debt a bit wiser if not quicker. I developed this tool out of a need myself to find out when, if ever, at the current rate, my credit card would be paid off.
I discovered that at the current rate it would take far longer to pay off my debt than I had expected. Since this program is written in Java, it will run on Windows (95, 98, NT, 2000, ME, XP), Linux, Mac, Solaris and a great many other Operating Systems.
With this program you can see:
How many years/months it will take you to pay off your credit card
The actual date the card will be paid off at the current rate
A payment by payment breakdown of what you will spend
How much will be spent on interest overall at that rate.
You can also use this for other loans. For instance, I use it for my college loan.
The hope is that by seeing how much overall you will save by paying an extra $10 or $20 per month, you will be greatly encouraged to pay the debt off that much faster. This application was written in 100% pure Java, so you will need to download suns Jave Runtime Environment(JRE).

OCaml-FreeTDS is a binding to the ct-lib component of the FreeTDS library, for accessing Sybase and Microsoft (or other TDS) database servers.
If you dont know what "ct-lib" means then you should probably not be using this, but rather OCamlDBI ; a more general and simple database layer, for which OCaml-FreeTDS bindings exist.

TkPanel is a panel application, greatly inspired by the CDE panel, with some other features; it is basically used to call other programs, that can be configured by the user. Thus, with TkPanel, the programs which are more often executed can be easily called.
TkPanel is able to lock the computer, and can run arbitrary command on the fly. It can show basic information about the computer resources (CPU and memory usage), display the time in various formats, and has a simple schedule. There is a graphical tool to config, change all its variables, add/remove buttons and sub-panels.
The user can also use TkPanel to change the page when running at some specifics Window Managers, place it at any edge of the screen (thus, really fans of TkPanel can have a few programs running at the same time!), align it at the corners, turn it into a hidden mode, and select what tools to display as buttons (choosing its place). All its functions are available through some keystrokes.
TkPanel is written on a Linux system with Tcl/Tk scripts; first to allow easy modifications being applied; second, to be executed on systems where Tcl/Tk is available.
